Die vorliegenden Neuerungen betreffen zwischen der eigentlichen Laufsohle und der Sohle der Schuhe und Stiefel einzulegende Metallschutzrahmen. Dieselben besitzen in der Nähe des Randes , der Rahmen Vorsprünge oder Zähne, deren Lücken von Vorsprüngen der Laufsohle derart ausgefüllt werden, dafs an der Unterseite derselben nur die Profile der Rahmenvorsprünge, in ähnlicher Weise wie die sonst üblichen Schrauben oder Stifte, zum Vorschein kommen. Durch die Metalleinlage wird jeder harte Gang vermieden, zugleich aber ein äufserst wirksames' Mittel gegen Abnutzung der Laufsohle geschaffen. Um die natürlichen Biegungen des Fufses beim Gehen nicht zu behindern, können diese Schutzrahmen an den betreffenden Stellen quer getheilt sein. Die mit solchem Schutzrahmen versehenen Laufsohlen werden wie eine gewöhnliche Sohle durch Nägel, Nieten oder Schrauben befestigt.The present innovations concern between the actual outsole and the sole Metal protective frames to be inserted into the shoes and boots. Die Sohle d aus Leder oder anderem Material wird der Form dieses Schutzrahmens entsprechend zugeschnitten und mit Vorsprüngen versehen, welche in die Lücken c hineinpassen, so dafs sie in den metallenen Schutzrahmen α unverrückbar eingedrückt werden kann. Fig. 4 und 5 veranschaulichen den Schutzrahmen mit der darauf gebrachten Sohle d, wobei Einlagen e ans Kork oder wasserdichtem Material zur Ausfüllung des zwischen den Rahmenstegen a^l verbleibenden Raumes verwendet werden.
