Abstract

The photosensitive imaging array avoids two disadvantages of existing arrays. The delay time of milliseconds needed for controlling the transparent structure is avoided and the problems related to coefficients in the Walsh image transformation are avoided. The main body of the receiver (E) is divided into two regions. All elements in one region are simultaneously connected over a control circuit to a common signal line. The control circuit alone decides to which of the two signal lines (A2) any given receive element is to be connected. This decision is taken by an exclusive-OR operation between the column and row control signals (Z,S).
