Bei den bekannten Verfahren, mit denen man dem Kunstleder ein dem natürlichen Leder ähnliches Aussehen gibt, wird Korkmehl, Ledermehl o. dgl. auf klebrige Kunstlederbahnen gebracht und das nicht anhaftende Mehl durch Klopfen oder in ähnlicher Weise entfernt. Das mit der Klebschicht dagegen in unmittelbarer Berührung gewesene Korkmehl, Ledermehl o. dgl. wird von dem Klebstoff festgehalten und haftet nach dem Trocknen desselben fest auf der Oberfläche der Kunstlederbahn.
