Abstract

The roof structure is suitable for covering terraces, swimming pools, sports stadiums, festival settings and similar outdoor installations, and comprises a movably fitted roof membrane or carrying cables, with cable tractors. Each of these comprises one or more drive elements, to which is hinged a towing carriage for the membrane. There are pref. coupling organs between drive elements, or tractor carriages, and towing carriages, with cardanic hinges or similar multi-axis movable intermediate members. The roof membrane may be joined to the towing carriage by means of a movable carrier harness, pref. of adjustable length and able to swivel on both sides about its longitudinal axis. Compensation for tractor loading is provided.
