Unipo!-Empfangsantenne mit Verstärker für zwei FrequenzbereicheUnipo! Receiving antenna with Amplifier for two frequency ranges
The invention relates to a Unipol receiving antenna Amplifier for 2 frequency ranges separated by a frequency gap, the first frequency range being very wide and contains lower frequencies and the second frequency range is much narrower and much higher frequencies contains, and the Ünipol receiving antenna is so short that it at least in the first frequency range like an almost frequency-independent one Capacitance acts with a very small effective resistance, and the input circuit of the amplifier from one three-pole, amplifying element and a negative feedback circuit consists and the input of the amplifier like the ^
Series connection of the control circuit of the three-pole, amplifying Element and one through the negative feedback circuit generated negative feedback bipolar acts, and the or the transmission path for both frequency ranges to one or two connections behind the three-pole, reinforcing element, i.e. to output terminals of the three-pole reinforcing element are connected.
In the exemplary application of the invention for radio reception the first frequency range is the so-called long-medium-shortwave range, Abbreviated LMK range, between about 150 kHz and 20 MHz and the second frequency range * the ultra-short wave range, abbreviated to FM range, between about 85 to 110 MHz.
It is known that a short Unipol in a very large frequency range can interact with a three-pole, reinforcing element almost independently of the frequency, if the Input conductance of the electronic one connected to the Unipol Circuit consists essentially of a capacitance and the input conductance is relatively small compared to this capacitive susceptance and the gain factor is almost independent of the frequency.

In the essay by H.Meinke, Aktive Antennen, Wachrichtentechnische Journal, Volume 19 (1966), pages 697-705, there in particular Figure 3, and in the article by H.Meinke, Aktive Receiving antennas, International Electronic Rundschau, Volume 23 (1969), p.141-144, there in particular Figure la, is an amplifier connected to the short unipole antenna described, which consists of a triode, the grid and cathode of which form the input terminals of the amplifier. The impedance of the grid-cathode control path is the input impedance of the amplifier and consists of almost one frequency-independent capacitance C "and an input effective conductance G, which at high frequency is small compared to the capacitive susceptance of the CL. It seems obvious, the triode in modern technology by a transistor or a known combination of transistors as a whole acts like a three-pole, reinforcing element to replace.
Broadband receiving systems of the type described receive many other unwanted signals in addition to the desired signal. Therefore, in the three-pole amplifying element, many unwanted interference signals are generated in a known manner on the receiving frequency due to non-linearity, for example by cross modulation. Broadband electronic antennas therefore consistently require linearization measures in order to keep the interfering signals sufficiently small. The input of the amplifier consists of the three-pole amplifying element EIe- w and a negative feedback circuit. Each negative feedback circuit works in such a way that it creates a negative feedback bipole which is connected in series to the control path of the three-fold amplifying element to the source electrode (source, emitter) of the transistor and to which part of the control AC voltage supplied by the unipole is applied.
Es wird daher der Verstärker für beide Frequenzbe-An antenna amplifier for the gaaierten 2 frequency ranges must Overall, amplify an extremely large frequency range, for example from 150 kHz to 110 MHz for radio reception. This creates certain difficulties because of the frequency dependence of the transistors and some other circuit components. The amplifier is therefore used for both frequency ranges

reiche verschieden gestaltet. In the German AS 1919 there are two separate transmission paths for these frequency ranges provided and at the output of the passive Unipol antenna through 2 filters the signals of the two frequency ranges separately and the signals of each frequency range are processed separately. Such a separation of the two Frequency ranges already behind the Unipol antenna, the disadvantage described below arises:
When receiving a signal in the LMK range, the input resistance is of the VHF filter parallel to the input of the LMK filter, i.e. with its inevitable capacities parallel to the control path of the LMK input transistor. Any Such parallel capacitance reduces the signal appearing at the LMK transistor and accordingly worsens it speaking the signal-to-noise ratio. Therefore, if you have the signals of both frequency ranges at the output of the Unipol antenna not through filters, but rather all signals through the same three-pole, amplifying element The critical circuit at the input of this element can be built with minimal parallel capacitance and gives the best possible reception, at least in the LMK area.
Da bei Transistoren der Verstärkungsfaktor mit wachsender Frequenz abnimmt, wird der für alle Betriebsfrequenzen gemeinsame Eingangstransistor des Verstärkers im UKW-Bereich eine merklich geminderte Verstärkung und ein schlechteres ISince with transistors the gain factor increases with Frequency decreases, becomes the common for all operating frequencies Input transistor of the amplifier in the VHF range has a noticeably reduced gain and a worse I.
Signal-to-noise ratio result, if this is not done by suitable Measures is prevented.
The object of the invention is therefore to design the amplifier in such a way that that the gain factor of the amplifier input is increased accordingly in the second frequency range, without the noise in the second frequency range being increased and without the gain factor and the Negative feedback for signals in the first frequency range is changed noticeably.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that an inductance between the connection of the unipole and the control connection of the three-pole reinforcing element is of such a size that the series resonant circuit formed from the unipole capacitance and this inductance has a resonant frequency in the vicinity of the second frequency range or within the second frequency range, and the negative feedback circuit is designed so that the negative feedback generated by it in the first frequency range is almost independent of frequency acts and is noticeably smaller in the second frequency range than in the first frequency range.
Fig.l shows the principle of the Unipol antenna with amplifier: 1 and 2 are the connections of the Unipol antenna with counterweight, which has the antenna capacitance C and the small effective resistance FL and the open circuit voltage E · h «as a signal source for the first frequency range : E = electric field strength, h. ff = effective height of the unipole. L is the upstream inductance according to the invention, which lies between the unipole connection 1 and the control electrode 3 of the three-pole, reinforcing element T 1 . 4 is the source electrode of the T., and the frequency-dependent negative feedback two-pole Z-. appears between connections 2 and 4. The output connections of T 1 are 4 and 5. The transmission path (s) for the two frequency ranges are connected to these output connections, either both transmission paths together to one of these points or separately to one of these connections.
The combination of C, and L 1 results in the second frequency range in a reactance that is reduced compared to the 1 / (& rC, .W, and acts, for example, like an apparently increased antenna capacitance

By reducing the internal resistance that the three-pole, amplifying element-feeding source in the second frequency range is achieved in the second frequency range a higher signal voltage at the input of the three-pole, amplifying element, thereby reducing the gain of the transistor or transistors at higher Frequencies is fully or partially compensated.
Fig.2 zeigt als Beispiel eine Kombination iThe three-pole reinforcing element can also be a known three-pole, reinforcing combination of several Be transistors, provided that this combination shows a suitable high-frequency behavior, in particular with regard to the Input impedance of the amplifier and the possibility of one Negative feedback. As an example, FIG. 2 shows a combination i
Die für die Erfindung unwesentlichen Gleichstromzuführungen sind in Fig.2 nicht gezeichnet.a field effect transistor T 2 with a bipolar transistor T 3 , both of which together again act like an amplifying three-pole with the connections 3, 4 and 5. The direct current feeds, which are insignificant for the invention, are not shown in FIG.
Die Resonanzfrequenz dieses .·In Figure 2 an embodiment of a negative feedback circuit is also drawn, which makes it possible to make the negative feedback in the first frequency range largely independent of frequency and noticeably greater than in the second frequency range. The negative feedback circuit consists of a resistor R 1 and a frequency-dependent two-pole Z 2 connected in parallel to it. The resistance R. results in an almost | Frequency-independent negative feedback in the first frequency range, if the frequency-dependent two-pole Z 2 is connected in parallel, which has a significantly smaller conductance in the first frequency range than the already existing R. The negative feedback is smaller in the second frequency range than in the first frequency range if the Z 2 is designed so that its impedance in the second frequency range is noticeably smaller than R 1 . In the example in FIG. 2, this two-terminal network connected in parallel consists of the capacitance C 2 , the inductance L 2 and the resistor R 3 . The resonance frequency of this.

According to the invention, the series resonance circuit is in the second frequency range, so that the impedance of the parallel-connected two-terminal network is greater than R. for a sufficiently small C. in the first frequency range and noticeably smaller than R. for a sufficiently small R- in the second frequency range. If the bandwidth of the series resonance circuit covers the entire VHF range, R 2 is approximately the negative feedback bipolar in the VHF range. The larger R. results in the larger, almost frequency-independent negative feedback in the LMK range and the smaller R 2 the smaller negative feedback in the VHF range.
Because of the resistors it contains, the negative feedback circuit is an additional source of noise in the amplifier's input circuit, which worsens the low-noise reception that is possible without negative feedback. Since the R. must be relatively large in order to achieve sufficient negative feedback in the LMK range, negative feedback that occurs in the first frequency range with the aid of the R 1 can be very noisy. If, according to the invention, a noticeably smaller negative feedback is used in the VHF range and this is also permissible because of the inherently lower linearity requirements in the VHF range, the additional noise generated by the negative feedback in the VHF range is generally not a problem. The further refinement of the invention therefore relates to reducing the noise of the negative feedback in the LMK range.
Zur Erzielung einer rauscharmen Gegenkopplung im LMK-Bereich ist in Fig.3 der LMK-Gegenkopplungswiderstand R1 durch einen vorgeschalteten3 shows an embodiment in which only a single transistor T 1 is drawn as a three-pole, amplifying element. T 1 has VHF negative feedback from C 2 , L 2 and R 2 as in FIG. The VHF transmission path leading to the output of the amplifier is connected in this example to point 5, the LMK transmission path to the point The VHF transmission path has a filter F which lets the VHF signals through and blocks the LMK signals. The filter F is shown in this example as a high-pass filter with the inductance Lr and the capacitance C 5 . To achieve low-noise negative feedback in the LMK range, the LMK negative feedback resistor R 1 is shown in FIG. 3 by an upstream one

Im Beispiel der Fig.3 ist dies der LMK-Stromweg über die Basis- ^ Emitterstrecke des zusätzlichen Transistors T4 und den Ge- ™ genkopplungswiderstand R..bipolar transistor T 4 , whose high-frequency emitter current of the three-pole amplifying element T is divided at point 4 into its direct current, which flows via a current path that is practically impermeable to alternating current, represented by the resistor R, and a high-frequency LMK signal current, which flows via the capacitor CU flows, and a high-frequency VHF signal current that flows through the resonance circuit C 2 , L 2 , R 2 . Current paths through which no LMK current flows do not in principle contribute anything to the LMK noise. The LMK noise of the negative feedback circuit is therefore only caused by those current paths between points 4 and 2 which carry the LMK currents. In the example in FIG. 3, this is the LMK current path via the base ^ emitter path of the additional transistor T 4 and the counter-coupling resistor R ..
In each circuit of the transistor T 4 suitable for the invention, R. generates the required negative feedback for T. as soon as the high-frequency LMK current component of the emitter current of the transistor T 1 flows through R. The LMK signal voltage that arises between points 4 and 2 is decisive for the extent of the negative feedback of T. In the example in FIG. In each circuit combination of T 4 and R. with the same LMK negative feedback of T. the negative feedback resistance R. is smaller than in the absence of T 4 , if the upstream T 4 further amplifies the LMK signal, i.e. the LMK -Emitter alternating current of the T 4 is greater than the LMK emitter alternating current of the T .. The smaller R, generates a correspondingly smaller LMK noise of the negative feedback circuit in the input circuit of the amplifier. The greater the gain by T 4 , the smaller the R 1 becomes with the same LMK negative feedback, the smaller the noise contribution of the negative feedback circuit to the LMK noise of the amplifier input.

In the example of FIG. 3, the LMK path leading to the output of the amplifier is connected to the output connections of the T 4 in order to utilize the LMK amplification occurring in T.
Die Widerstände Rc und R,-According to the above description, the resistance of the direct current path for alternating currents must be very large. If this direct current path is represented by an ohmic resistor R, a relatively high direct voltage arises at R because the direct current of the T. cannot be made very small due to the noise properties of the transistors. A high DC voltage means a lot of effort or, in some cases, an unacceptable requirement, for example if the antenna with amplifier is mounted on a motor vehicle and only the car battery is available for power supply. The operating voltage required at R can be reduced significantly by designing R as a transistor circuit according to FIG. The transistor T 5 has a high resistance on the output side because, as is known, changes in the collector voltage result in very small changes in the collector current. T, - reaches the high resistance required in the circuit of FIG. The resistances R c and R, -

Da zwischen den Punkten 2 und 4 eine hochfrequente Signalspannung liegt, wird dasare used to set the base DC voltage of the Tj-. Rr is bridged by a capacitance C 4 so that no high-frequency control voltages arise here. The resistor R 4 is used for negative feedback from the T 5 . Since there is a high-frequency signal voltage between points 2 and 4, this will be

These flow through R. and there generate a negative feedback that reduces these high- frequency currents, i.e. makes the current path via T 5 even more impermeable to the high-frequency. Furthermore, R 4 also forms a negative feedback for the noise currents of the T n flowing in the emitter line, so that the current path of the I is also very noisy

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, there is a series inductance L- to improve the effect of the T 5 in the VHF range. in series with T 5 as in the circuit of Fig. 5. The transistor T 5 will no longer have a high resistance at these high frequencies because it has an emitter-collector capacitance C E _, and its reactance decreases with increasing frequency. L_ is dimensioned so that the series resonance between L 3 and C- c is in the middle of the frequency gap between the LMK range and the VHF range, so that this resonance circuit in the VHF range is already operated above its resonance and the resistance of the T, - circle in the VHF range is essentially determined by the high UrL 3 . This ensures that this circuit branch remains high-impedance even in the range of very high frequencies.
