Abstract

A diesel engine has an exhaust gas sintered metal particle filter consisting of a cylindrical housing with a radial fan-fold array of filter panels about a central gas passage. The cylinder has an end-plate at one end (7) and is open at the other. The fan-fold edges are rest against a number of spokes (10, 11, 12) linking opposite cylinder sidewalls. Claims (8)

1. Sintermetallpartikelfilter, insbesondere zum Entfernen von im Ab­ gas einer Dieselbrennkraftmaschine enthaltenen Rußpartikeln mit einem aus einzelnen, wechselweise anströmseitig und abströmsei­ tig endverschlossenen Filtertaschen (4) gebildeten Filterkörper (5) und mit einem im Bereich eines Abschlusses des Filterkörpers (5) angebundenen, den Filterkörper (5) in seiner Längserstreckung zumindest teilweise einfassenden Filterkörpergehäuse (8), über das der Filterkörper (5) mittels eines daran angebrachten Befesti­ gungsflansches (7) aufgehängt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Filterkörper (5) mit Abstand zu dem Bereich seiner Anbindung an das Filterkörpergehäuse (8) durch zumindest eine, zweckmäßi­ gerweise mehrere Speichen (10, 11, 12) mit dem Filterkörperge­ häuse (8) verbunden ist, die mit jeweils einem Ende an dem Filter­ körper (5) und mit ihrem anderen Ende an dem Filterkörpergehäu­ se (8) an jeweils einer Position angeschlossen sind, die sich - be­ zogen auf die Richtung der Längserstreckung des Filterkörpers (5) - in einer zur Ebene des Anschlusses an den Filterkörper (5) ver­ setzten Ebene befinden und in denen jede Speiche (10, 11, 12) mit der durch den Anschlusspunkt am Filterkörpergehäuse (8) und der Längsachse des Filterkörpers (5) gebildeten Längsebene (17) ei­ nen Winkel (α) einschließt, der kleiner als 45° ist.1.
