Tumble dryer

The innovation concerns a clothes dryer designed as a free-standing rack of the type used in the home for hanging up and drying different types of laundry and which can be folded up after use.

Clothes dryers for domestic purposes are available in a variety of designs, especially as assembleable frames generally made of wire or steel rods.

For example, it is known to give the frame body the shape of a stepladder and to attach to it, at different heights of the ladder rungs, flat, table-shaped components that are also designed like rungs, the rungs of which also serve to hang the laundry items.

With these types of dryers, just preparing and setting up the frame is quite a lot of work. It also requires a relatively large amount of space, which experience shows is not always available.

Other tumble dryers are designed in the style of so-called "Nuremberg scissors". In order to stand securely, they require various safety elements in order to remain sufficiently stable under the weight of the laundry.

Other well-known constructions with different variants for hanging laundry items, such as table-like racks covered with clotheslines, have also found widespread use in households.

However, a simple, solid and stable tumble dryer that can also be assembled universally is missing from the diverse product range of these household appliances and would be a welcome addition to the range.

The present innovation attempts to take this concern into account in an appropriate manner.

The aim of the innovation is to provide a tumble dryer which, without any effort, allows a large number of design variants for hanging up different lengths or heavier items of laundry, is simple and easily transformable in its components, has a stable standing capacity and in which the connection and adjustment of the components to one another and to the frame body is functionally perfected.

This problem is solved by the technical features characterized in the claims, the application of which fulfills the more demanding usage properties mentioned on the expenditure side in a perfected manner.

The newly created product speaks for itself, so to speak.

The new design is briefly explained below using various design variants shown in drawings.

some new design variants of tumble dryers, in which several structural elements 2 of the same shape and composed of profile bars are arranged in an adjustable and lockable manner on a table-like frame body 1.

The design variants created with the help of these components 2 can be assembled and folded back together again with simple means depending on the space available for the tumble dryer and/or the type, nature and quantity of laundry to be dried. The connecting and adjusting elements 3 and the type and function of the joints used here are a welcome advantage.

The essential functional elements of these joints are shown in Fig. 5.

The connecting and adjusting elements 3 are designed as shell bodies 4 pressed from plastic and are provided with several connecting pieces 5 into which the support and connecting struts of the individual components 2 are firmly inserted.

Inside the connecting and adjusting elements 3, coupling bodies and locking lugs 6 are arranged which are to be joined axially and act in a radially positive manner, by means of which a grid-like adjustment of the support and connecting struts and thus a rotatable or pivotable adjustment and adjustment of the components 2 to one another in selectable angular positions is achieved.

Clothes dryer with a table-shaped, flat frame resting on two bracket-shaped legs, characterized by the following features: - connecting and adjusting members ( 3 ) are arranged on the two narrow sides of the table-shaped frame body ( 1 ); - by means of these connecting and adjusting elements ( 3 ) the frame body ( 1 ) is immovably fixed and dimensionally stable and stable; - structural elements ( 2 ) are pivotably arranged on the connecting and adjusting members ( 3 ), with the aid of which various spatially formable design variants for hanging different types and sizes of laundry items can be realized. 2. Clothes dryer according to claim 1, characterized in that the individual components ( 2 ) made of flat and round bars are each assembled to form a mobile unit. 3. Clothes dryer according to claim 1, characterized in that the components ( 2 ) are pivotably articulated in their connecting and adjusting members ( 3 ) by 270° each with pitch steps of 45°. 4. Connecting and adjusting elements for tumble dryers according to claims 1 to 3, characterized by a shell body ( 4 ) with several radially attached connecting pieces ( 5 ) for inserting support and connecting struts of the individual components ( 2 ), in the interior of which axially and radially positively acting coupling bodies and locking lugs ( 6 ) are arranged for the grid-like adjustment and adjustment of the support and connecting struts.
