B. 800 MHz, 900 MHz, u. a.) umgesetzt. Über NB-IoT soll in Zukunft eine große Anzahl an Geräten vernetzt werden. Ebenfalls soll eine Steck- oder Schraub-Kupplung (z. B. SMA) zum Anschluss einer externen Antenne vorhanden sein. Eine externe Antenne am Smartmeter kann sinnvoll sein um diese an einem Ort mit besseren Empfangseigenschaften (z. B. am Kellerfenster) zu platzieren. Hierzu ist es sinnvoll unter möglichst realen Bedingungen zu messen. Ferner ist ein Ein-Aus-Schalter erforderlich.
