The present invention relates to an additional lid for drinking cups with or without a drinking tube according to the preamble of claim 1.

Lids for closing drinking cups after filling them with a drink are known so that the drink cannot spill out of the cup. These closure lids are designed either with or without openings for drinking straws. The openings for the drinking straws are preferably designed centrally. This creates an approximately disc-shaped area when viewed from above on the lid, which closes the drinking cup.

As is well known, in the advertising sector, attempts are made to find the most valuable space possible for advertising a product. The value of an advertising space on different objects is determined differently by the

Objects that are viewed, used or otherwise viewed particularly often and/or with pleasure by a target group are therefore rated higher in value than advertising space on less interesting objects.

In this respect, the lids on beverage cups described above represent an advertising space that is of great interest for advertising to a very large number of different target groups. Everyone drinks. Many people drink either in self-service restaurants, at kiosks, at events or other occasions. It does not matter what is drunk, the important thing is that a very large proportion of the drinks are consumed from a drinking cup. In order to convey the desired advertising message, drinking cups and/or lids are provided with the relevant advertising.

Due to the evaluation of advertising space or spatial areas for the placement of advertising mentioned at the beginning, for example in the categories of valuable, very valuable and less valuable, the drinking cup with all its surfaces and spatial configurations is a very interesting object. This basically results in a permanent need for additional surfaces or spatial configurations for additional use or for the placement of advertising and the like.

The present invention is therefore based on the object of forming additional surfaces and/or spaces on, in or on drinking cups and/or their closures, which are suitable for attaching advertising or an additional item.

This task is solved by attaching an additional lid to a drinking cup, in addition to the closure lid. This additional lid can be attached spatially above the closure lid. This arrangement makes it possible to create additional surfaces and additional space that are suitable for both advertising and for the inclusion of extras.

For example, the additional cover can be printed, glued or provided with other means on both sides in order to attach appropriate messages.

Another key advantage is the space that forms between the closure lid and the additional lid. This can be shaped differently depending on requirements. For example, if a disc-shaped product is to be distributed with the drink in the drinking cup, it is certainly sensible to create an additional lid that is arranged roughly parallel to the closure lid. In such a space, for example, mini discs or similar can be given to the consumer in a more protected manner. The consumer only needs to separate the additional lid from the closure lid and can then remove the additive. If a drinking straw is present, this may also have to be removed before removing the additive.

In a special embodiment, the additional cover can be snapped onto the closure cover using a snap fastener. In other embodiments, the additional cover can be screwed on, folded down or attached using other common fastening options.

The essence of the invention is that the known travel cups have a first lid, i.e. the closure lid. This is snapped into place on the circumference of the cup and is always present. There are two different designs, namely one design in which the lid is completely closed and a second design in which the lid has a central hole or opening into which a corresponding suction tube can be inserted. In the case of the second design, the lid has a corresponding central attachment in order to form a better holder for the suction tube.

In the first set of drawings, Fig. 1-3, it is indicated that the first lid, i.e. the closure lid 1, has no central hole. Accordingly, the upper second lid, the additional lid 2, also has no central hole, so that the intermediate space between them is completely closed and suitable for receiving any object as additional product 4.

In Fig. 4 and 5 it is indicated that the cover 1 has a central hole through which a corresponding suction pipe can be inserted. Accordingly, the additional cover 2 also has a corresponding central hole. The suction pipe now passes through both holes. 1. Additional lid for drinking cup with lid with or without drinking tube, characterized in that the drinking cup ( 12 ) has a further additional lid ( 2 ) in addition to the closure lid ( 1 ). 2. Additional lid according to claim 1, characterized in that the additional lid ( 2 ) is arranged on or at the closure lid ( 1 ). 3. Additional lid according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that an intermediate space ( 3 ) for receiving an additional product ( 4 ) is formed between the additional lid ( 2 ) and the closure lid ( 1 ). 4. Additional cover according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the additional space ( 3 ) is completely closed. 5. Additional cover according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the additional space ( 3 ) is only partially closed. 6.
