Abstract

The arrangement includes a first interface, at which an image detection arrangement, such as a digital camera, is connected, a second interface, at which a transmitter unit is connected, and a processor unit which is arranged in such way, that a digitized image which is received over the first interface, is adjusted to a format of the fax service, and is sent over the second interface. A memory is preferably provided, in which the digitized image is stored. A programming interface is preferably provided, through which the first interface and the second interface are adjustable on modalities of the connected units. A transmitter unit is preferably connected to the second interface, through which the arrangement is controlled.

Fig. 1 zeigt eine Anordnung 101 zur Bearbeitung von Bilddaten für eine Übermittlung mittels Fax-Dienst mit einer Bilderfassungseinheit 102 und einer Sendereinheit 103. Der Programmcode wird von der Prozessoreinheit 107 ausgeführt. Die Bedienung des Programmcodes erfolgt über eine Programmierschnittstelle 108, an der insbesondere eine Tastatur 109 und eine Anzeigeeinheit 110 angeschlossen sind. Alternativ kann an der Programmierschnittstelle 108 auch lediglich eine Tastatur 109 in unterschiedlicher Größe angeordnet sein, mit der vorgegebene Aktionen per Tastendruck ausgelöst werden. Eine andere Alternative besteht darin, daß über die Programmierschnittstelle 108 eine vorgegebene Funktion der Anordnung 101 ferngesteuert wird. Weiterhin wird über die Programmierschnittstelle 108 ausgewählt, welche digitale Kamera 102 und welche Sendereinheit 103 an der Anordnung 101 angeschlossen sind. Liegen hingegen Bilddaten vor, so werden diese Bilddaten in einem Schritt 403 von der digitalen Kamera 102 gelesen und in dem Bilddatenspeicher 106 abgelegt. In einem Schritt 404 wird der Kameraspeicher gelöscht und in einem Schritt 405 werden die in dem Bilddatenspeicher 106 vorliegenden Bilddaten derart bearbeitet, daß diese einem Format des Fax-Dienstes entsprechen. Dabei wird insbesondere eine Kompression der Bilddaten durchgeführt und eine Reduktion von Farbbildern auf Schwarz-Weiß-Bilder durchgeführt (siehe Schritte 405 und 406). Schließlich werden die für das Fax-Format aufbereiteten Bilddaten in ein Sendeverzeichnis, das insbesondere als eine Sendewarteschlange ausgeführt ist, übermittelt (vgl. Schritt 407). In einem Schritt 502 wird überprüft, ob das Senderverzeichnis leer ist. Ist dies der Fall, so wird in einem Schritt 503 angezeigt, daß keine Daten vorhanden sind. Ansonsten wird in einem Schritt 504 der Empfänger angewählt und in einem Schritt 505 versucht, die Verbindung aufzubauen. Ist die Verbindung erfolgreich aufgebaut worden (vgl. Schritt 506), so werden die Daten in einem Schritt 508 übertragen. Mißlingt hingegen der Aufbau der Verbindung, so erfolgt wieder eine Statusmeldung an die Sendereinheit (vgl. Schritt 507). Nach der Übertragung der Daten (Schritt 508) werden die Daten aus dem Senderverzeichnis gelöscht (Schritt 509) und in einem Schritt 510 eine Statusmeldung an die Sendereinheit verschickt. In einem Schritt 511 wird die Verbindung beendet und zu dem Schritt 501 zurückgekehrt. FIG. 5 shows a flowchart which shows steps of a communication between transmitter unit 103 and arrangement 101 . Claims
