Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 1.
The electronic monitoring and control of various sensors is always more important. It also makes sense to get the information about the evaluated signals To send costs over existing communication lines (e.g. telephone network).
There are e.g. B. alarm systems with independent control units and at one Telephone connection or reporting devices to be connected. However, these are not very cheap yet.
The object of the invention is to include an existing modem (and / or one existing PCs) an inexpensive device for control and monitoring and to create a message / reaction to which the individual (alarm) sensors are connected can be.
This object is achieved by a device with the features of claim 1.
Using a modern modem with voice and fax functions, e.g. B. alarms or similar messages in the form of speech (using the voice chipset) or in Form of a fax sheet to a control body (in this case the police).
As multimedia PCs (with a voice modem and sound card) are becoming increasingly popular, you can see the manufacturing cost of the monitoring device on a circuit limit which converts the signals for one of the interfaces on the PC. This one very cheap circuit, which can also be controlled by a program optional output, together with the (external) modem at one Interface can be operated via a double connector, you don't lose any Connectivity. With an easy-to-use program, the user can Adapt the device to his needs. For example, there can be several separate ones Sensors can be connected separately. The program is based on the individual sensor signals then react differently depending on the setting and e.g. B. call different people and play specific voice files over the voice modem. In the event that a call unsuccessful, it can of course be repeated. In addition, Delay times and a software-controlled switching on and off of the device and furthermore define an output signal. The respective status of the device and the alarm sensors can also be checked on the screen. You can also use a (different) relay circuit, which has an additional switch for "normal" switching on and off Switch off the PC, the PC can be switched on in the event of an alarm. It will Alarm program automatically loads and reports if only one type of sensor monitor, alarm immediately if the PC is within the defined monitoring time has been switched on and a deactivation password was not quickly entered.
If several different sensors are to be monitored (e.g. burglar and Fire alarm), the program first checks the interface. Beyond that It is possible to directly connect a circuit with several controllable memory chips corresponding adjustable content to connect to the modem or into the modem integrate.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings and are in following described in more detail.

Example for the connection of alarm sensors via a with the serial interface of the Computer connected circuit. A program will monitor the serial interface and respond to a specific signal in a set manner and e.g. B. about a voice modem makes a (voice) call to report the alarm.
The alarm lines of the sensors are connected to the following circuit. The circuit itself is then connected to the serial interface. This circuit can only report 3 different alarms, but is expandable. In addition, more "pins" of the serial interface can be used, see Fig. 1.
melden (Fax, Tonsignal, Daten, . . .).
"Sounds", wie beispielsweise Sirenengeräusche oder Hundegebell ausgegeben werden.(Alternatively, one could also use several monoflop circuits according to FIG. 3, each of which closes a circuit between the pin of the interface and a transformer with a resistor via a transistor, so that AC voltage is present for a certain period.)
If one of the alarm sensors triggers an alarm and e.g. B. closes the circuit, the connected part of the circuit will turn on the vibrator connected to the serial interface (voltage fluctuations) for a certain time (adjustable by capacitors and resistors). The program that monitors the interface will recognize the signal and assign it to a specific alarm based on the signal length. It will then check whether the alarm was triggered within the alarm period that can be set by the user and, if necessary, with a time delay that can also be set, call a telephone number assigned to the specific alarm via a voice modem and play an assigned sound file or play the alarm in another way report (fax, tone signal, data,...). The modem and the alarm circuit can be operated at the same interface using a double connector and special initialization by the program. A call can also be repeated or other calls can be made. In addition, a signal can be output via a further or the same interface. B. via transistors amplifies other circuits / turns on when the calls are ended and signals are sent that do not affect the modem. In addition, other "sounds" such as siren noises or dog barking can be output via speakers connected to the sound card.
The computer is configured so that the alarm program is loaded automatically when it is started. Then the power supply cable from the computer (and modem) is replaced by another, in which a relay and a switch are integrated, both of which can separately switch the power supply of the PC on and off. The computer itself is always on. The switch on the new cable only serves the "normal" use of the PC. To activate the alarm function, this switch is turned off, see Fig. 2.
The alarm sensors are connected to the control circuit of the relay. If these now trigger an alarm, the PC is switched on. So that the alarm signaling process is not aborted if the alarm sensors are destroyed later, you should work with a failure circuit for the alarm sensors or with a bistable relay. In the event that there is only one type of alarm, an alarm is triggered immediately after the computer is started. When the user switches on the computer to work, all he has to do is switch off the modem, etc. or cancel the program within a period of time which he can set (by entering a code word). If there are several alarms to distinguish, there are different options:
So the circuit also connected to the alarm sensors (see example 1 / Fig. 1) z. B. give very long impulses or the alarm sensors turn off after enough time has passed for the PC to boot. The circuit (see FIG. 1) will then again emit the corresponding signal and the rest of the program flow is the same as the above.
siehe Fig. 4.If the modem is operated on a separate interface, there is a much simpler option for switching. (Alternatively, if the alarm sensors switch themselves off after a short time and the transistors / relays return to their old state, the following circuit can also be connected to the same interface as that of the modem.):
see Fig. 4.
Via relays or transistors (with resistors) the alarm sensors are according to the above Sketch connected to its own interface, which is monitored by the program. As soon as the alarm is triggered, the relays close the circuit.
If the alarm sensors do not switch themselves back after a short period of time when a signal is detected, a monoflop circuit is advisable when using several “pins” of an interface, see FIG. 3.
When the alarm sensor is triggered, the program is run on the pin assigned to the sensor receive a specific signal which, depending on the resistor and capacitor used Monoflop has an adjustable, short length.
Of course it is also possible to combine parts of the examples mentioned combine. A circuit according to Example 1 can also be used for several pins are increased, thereby increasing the number of connectable, distinguishable alarm sensors become.
