Abstract

The internal combustion motor, with a high pressure fuel injection system, has at least one high pressure pump (1) with a store (2), injection channels (3) and injection jets (4). The store, injection channels and jets are incorporated under a valve cover (5). The high pressure pump is an integral unit with the cylinder head (6) at one end or at a side, and is operated by an upper camshaft.

Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Brennkraftmaschine mit Hochdruckeinspritz­ system gemäß dem Gattungsbegriff des Patentanspruches 1.The invention relates to an internal combustion engine with high-pressure injection system according to the preamble of claim 1.

Neue Einspritzsysteme für Dieselmotoren arbeiten nach dem bekannten System "Common Rail". Dabei wird der Brennstoff durch mindestens eine Hochdruckpumpe in einen Speicher gefördert. Von diesem Speicher wird er über Einspritzleitungen zu den Einspritzdüsen gefördert. Die Einspritzung wird über schnelle Magnetventile gere­ gelt, welche unmittelbar den Einspritzdüsen vorgelagert sind. Bei einem derartigen Einspritzsystem stehen alle Komponenten unter konstant hohem Druck der 1500 bar übersteigt. Daraus resultiert das Problem, daß Undichtheiten in Form von Mikrorissen an den Komponenten zu einem ständigen Leckverlust führen. Bei konventionellem Einspritzsystem wirkt der Druck nur während einer relativ kurzen Einspritzphase, so daß sich Leckverluste weit weniger auswirken.New injection systems for diesel engines work according to the familiar system "Common Rail". Fig. 1 zeigt in Seitenansicht eine Brennkraftmaschine mit einem Hochdruckeinspritz­ system nach System "Common Rail". Das Einspritzsystem besteht aus mindestens ei­ ner Hochdruckpumpe 1, einem Speicher 2, Einspritzleitungen 3, welche für jedes Ein­ spritzventil 4 vom Speicher 2 abzweigen. Da bei einem derartigen Einspritzsystem alle druckführenden Komponenten unter konstant hohen Druck stehen der 1500 bar über­ steigt, können sich Haarrisse bereits schwerwiegend auswirken. Der fein zerstäubt austretende Brennstoff kann sich sogar an Abgasrohren entzünden, mit dann nicht ab­ sehbaren Folgen. Da das Antriebsdrehmoment der Hochdruckpumpe 1 erheblich kleiner ist als das einer vergleichbaren konventionellen Einspritzpumpe ist es vorteilhaft die Hochdruckpum­ pe 1 von einer obenliegenden Nockenwelle anzutreiben.

Brennkraftmaschine mit Hochdruckeinspritzsystem, bestehend aus mindestens einer Hochdruckpumpe mit Speicher, sowie Einspritzleitungen und Einspritz­ düsen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß alle druckbeaufschlagten Elemente wie Speicher (2), Einspritzleitungen (3) und Einspritzdüsen (4) unter der Ventil­ haube (5) eingebaut sind und daß die Hochdruckpumpe (1) mit dem Zylinder­ kopf (6) eine bauliche Einheit bildet.1.
