Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a sandwich structure for structural components of an aircraft and a manufacturing method therefor according to the preamble of claims 1 and 15.
Sandwich structures are known, according to which a core layer, a honeycomb structure or has a suitable support structure, is connected to cover layers. Such a construction discloses EP 0 389 978 A2, according to which a multilayer board has a core layer which has a honeycomb structure or open-cell foam structure. The honeycomb structure consists of a plastic-coated material (NOMEX paper), aluminum or thermoplastic Plastic, whereas the foams made of polyethersulfone or melamine / formaldehyde Assemble the polycondensate. The connection of the fiber reinforced thermoplastic deck Layering with the core layer is solved by gluing. This turns into a thermoplastic Adhesive that is compatible with the plastic of the cover layers, only on the contact lines applied between the cell walls of the core layer and the overlying cover layers. The Similar solutions are also available from Hintersdorf [Gert Hintersdorf: Manufacturing Technology and Operations; Issue 8; August 1962; Pages 533-537] described in an article. These solutions are liable Problem that the honeycomb construction (from the two outer layers and the in between the honeycomb) glued constructions with the usual loads (pressure, shear and bending due to the specified direction of strength and strength Have rigidity disadvantages. A variable combination of molded parts of the elements can be created with such do not realize sandwich components. There are also the publications: "GB 1 274 569, GB 2 151 184 and GB 2 066 731 "known, the solutions for realizing sandwich propose structures.
The solutions given do not suggest a measure by which the strength and rigidity deficits in the core network (with regard to the load on bending and shear strength) be overcome, and which allow sandwich structures with variable body geometry to implement manufacturing technology.
Accordingly, the invention is based on the object of a generic sandwich structure to be designed in such a way that with the variable combination of their molded parts adjusted pressure, shear and bending strength and stiffness is achieved. There is a generic Show appropriate manufacturing process with which you can process within a few steps will achieve a composite molding that is adapted to the mechanical stresses Compressive, shear and bending strength and rigidity to which the sandwich structure is exposed, withstands.
This object is achieved by the measures specified in claims 1 and 15. In expedient refinements are specified in the further subclaims.
The invention is described in more detail in an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawings.

In FIG. 1, the dry construction of a sandwich structure for structural components in an aircraft is shown. The sandwich structure accordingly consists of a foam core 1 with a rigid web structure, on which a fibrous cover layer 2 is placed (and also or is subject). The foam core 1 is made up of several adjacent body segments 3 , the arrangement of which achieves a horizontal row of body segments. The structure of the body segment row is carried out - analogously to the structure according to FIG. 2 - with bar segments, the narrow segment side surfaces 31 of which are arranged adjacent to one another. Between these adjacent segment lying side faces 31 is guided 5 a fibrous layer continuously the body segment row is guided meander-like (upper or lower lying) on the nearest wide segment side surface 31st
The structure is such that the adjacent narrow segment side surfaces 31 touch the region of the fiber layer 5 that is sandwiched between them. It follows from this that fiber-covered and fiber-uncovered wide segment side faces 31 alternate continuously in the body segment row, which occur in regions above and below the broad sides of the bar segments. The wide-sided segment side surfaces 31 of the row of body segments lie on and below the aforementioned cover layer 2 .
The bar segments used (in this construction) embody - like all generally mentioned body segments 3 - a hollow segment body with fiber-reinforced web structures, the cavity of which is completely foamed with a foam 4 . Accordingly, the hollow space of the body segments 3 is filled with a foam 4 , which is based on thermoset foams, preferably with phenol or polyimide foam, or thermoplastic foams, preferably polyether mid- or polyether sulfone foam.
Another possibility is to use (general) body segments 3 which are cut out of a block of rigid foam. These body segments 3 consist only of foam, so they are not always foamed hollow bodies.
Body segments 3 mentioned in this way are also referred to as foam segments.
The fiber-uncovered, broad-sided segment side surfaces 31 of the body segment row can additionally have a fiber covering layer applied and / or underlaid.
The fiber layer 5 , the fiber cover layer and the fiber-like cover layers 2 consist, for example, of a fabric or fabric-like material. These layers and the top layers 2 (with such a sandwich structure) can alternatively also be realized with a unidirectional fiber structure, a knitted fabric, a knitted fabric or with fiber mats, the fiber structures of which consist of glass fibers, carbon fibers, polymer fibers, preferably aramid fibers, polyethylene fibers and polyamide fibers, or natural fibers, preferably Ramie and cotton, is composed.
The (meandering) fabric of the fiber layer 5 , the fabric of the cover layers 2 (also referred to as cover fabric) and - with an additional layer - the fabric of the fiber cover layer is carried out, for example, with a glass fabric or glass-like fabric, since the glass or glass-like fibers through their fabric - (and knitted fabric) ability are particularly suitable for this structure.
It is added that glass fibers for such sandwich designs are no more or less are more suitable than the other fibers. They are used as an example because their price / performance ratio (from an economic point of view) the needs of the components of the interior corresponds particularly well.
After a treatment process (described later) to which the dry structure of the sandwich structure is subjected, the fabric layer webs (the fiber layer 5 , the fiber cover layer) with the fiber-covered segment side surfaces 31 of the beam segments (ie with the segment surface) and the cover layer fabric (the cover layers 2 ) glued to the meandering fabric (the fiber layer 5 ).
Even without additional covering of the fiber cover layer, the cover layer fabric (the cover layers 2 ) is glued to the tissue-uncovered areas of the row of body segments.
The fabric layers and the top layer fabric form - after the treatment development process - with the bar segments (the body segment row) a linear seg mentally reinforced composite. The intermediate layers of fabric, which (according to the later treatment process described) is subsequently impregnated with resin and then cured, Stiffening bars. The components with such a hardened sandwich structure have against over known sandwich constructions the advantage that with the linear segment ver stiff composite a pressure, shoe and bending strength adapted to the demands and - stiffness of their sandwich structure is achieved. This result also affects the resilience the edge areas of the construction, for example the hatrack edges, are advantageous.
The (dry) construction chosen in FIG. 2 supplements the representations presented above. There are the bar segments formed into a row of body segments, which are arranged in the horizontal plane. In contrast to the arrangement according to FIG. 1, the bar segments used as body segments 3 are completely and broadly encased on the broad and narrow sides along the elongated longitudinal course by a fiber layer 5 (stocking-like) designed as a fabric layer. In this case, the wide segment side surfaces 31 are covered with a cover layer 2 designed as a fabric. Due to the non-meandering guidance of the fiber layer 5 , the areas of the fiber layer 5 lying on the narrow body segment side surfaces 31 of the bar segments touch, provided that the narrow sides of the bar segments abut one another lying side by side. The bar segments are similar to those of FIG. 1 with a foam 4 fully foamed. After completion of the (later described) treatment method of this dry sandwich construction, the fabric layer webs (the areas of the fiber layer 5 ) with the fiber-covered segment side faces 31 of the beam segments (ie with the segment surface) and the cover layer fabric (the cover layers 2 ) with the fabric (the fiber layer 5 ) glued.
The fabric layers and the top layer fabric form - after the treatment development process - with the bar segments (the body segment row) a linear seg mentally reinforced composite. The specified load advantages of the components realized in this way with such a hardened sandwich structure are realized with the realization of the linear segment-stiffened composite achieved equally.
Another possibility of executing such load-stable sandwich structures is achieved with the (dry) construction of the sandwich arrangement according to FIG. 3. In contrast to the solutions according to FIGS. 1 and 2, body segments 3 are used here, which are designed as cuboid segments. The narrow and wide sides of the body segment 31 are also completely covered with the fiber layer 5 (stocking-like) designed as a fabric layer. Due to the non meandering guide the fiber layer 5, the narrow body segment side surfaces contact 31 of the square segments lying regions of the fiber layer 5, the vertically-disposed narrow sides of the rectangular segments provided adjacently to each other abut and form a first horizontal body segment row. Similarly, a second row of body segments is constructed horizontally. According to this embodiment, the wide body segment surfaces 31 of the two rows of body segments come into vertical contact. Here, two abutting narrow body segment side surfaces 31 of the first body segment row each touch a wide body segment surface 31 of the second body segment row.
The vertical body segment side surfaces 31 which are arranged in an offset manner therefore come into contact in the T-joint. The horizontal structure of the rows of body segments is covered with a cover layer fabric 2 above and below the fabric-uncovered side surfaces 31 . It is advantageous to cover the tissue-uncovered area of the rows of body segments with a fiber cover layer.
The cavity of the cuboid segments is of the same type (the previous embodiments) completely foamed with a foam 4 .
After completion of the treatment method (described later) of this dry sandwich construction, the fabric layer webs (the areas of the fiber layer 5 and the fiber cover layer) with the fiber-covered segment side surfaces 31 of the cuboid segments (ie with the segment surface) and the cover layer fabric (the cover layers 2 ) with the fabric-uncovered areas [ or glued to the fiber top layer areas] of the body segment (double) row (s).
The fabric layers and the top layer fabric form - after the treatment development process - with the cuboid segments [the body segment (double) row (s)] a linear form against segment-stiffened composite. The specified load advantages of the so realized Components with such a hardened sandwich structure are realized with the realization of the mentioned linear segment-stiffened composite achieved equally.
FIGS. 4 to 6 show a selection of embodiment according foam segment geometries. These are multi-row (dry) sandwich structures with foam core materials that have fiber-reinforced web structures. Thereafter, in FIG. 4 square honeycomb segments (cube segments), in FIG. 5 triangular honeycomb segments and in FIG. 6 hexagonal honeycomb segments, which are for example stocking-like covered with a fiber layer 5 designed as a fabric layer, are shown are arranged on top of and next to each other and result in an integrated horizontal body segment row (formed from several horizontal body segment rows). Above and below the horizontal tissue-covered surface of the integrated body segment row, a cover layer fabric (the cover layer 2 ) will (equally advantageously) lie on top.
The segment geometry of the body segments 3 is physically different in these versions (and also generally related), which preferably have a honeycomb, cuboid or cube-shaped shape, the segment cross section of which is polygonal, at least eight, six, four or triangular in shape is.
It is (generally related to all versions) added (but not figuratively separate beard) that it is advantageous in such sandwich structures if the segment side surfaces 31 have a convex or concave shape, the body segments 3 positioned within the body segment row having a shear-resistant segment composite form.
It is also advantageous that the body segments ( 3 ) are concordant to one another and the body segment row is formed by segmental paving (similar to the type of a composite stone paving).
Also in the embodiments according to Fig. 4 results to 6, the surfaces between the segment sides 31 between layered fiber sheet 5 and those of the fiber (or fabric) covered upper surface horizontally lying fabric layer (the cover layer 2) after curing of the (according to the following described ) Fiber impregnation an interlayer fiber web with a rigid web structure. The specified loading advantages of the components realized in this way with a sandwich structure hardened in this way are achieved equally with the implementation of the linear segment-stiffened composite mentioned.
Referring to FIG. 7 to 10, the method of treatment of vorbeschrie surrounded embodiments is described for obtaining a cured sandwich structure with the lines a shaped composite segmentversteiften below.
There is a method for producing a sandwich structure for structural components of an aircraft, which comes back to the structure of the (dry) sandwich structure (according to FIG. 4).
Thereafter, several body segments 3 designed as cube segments are arranged horizontally next to each other, the cavity of which is continuously foamed in a preceding process with foam 4 in order to achieve foam segments. 7 (and as already described) covered with a fiber layer 5 , more precisely - (stocking-like) covered with glass fabric or covered with glass fabric stockings - as shown in FIG. 7 (and as already described). The foam segments forming a horizontal body segment row are within a closed device (closed shape not shown) which has horizontally arranged walls 61 , 62 . In this case, several foam segments are covered with the glass or glass-like fiber layer 5 . They are assembled in the device 6 to form a horizontal row of body segments such that the segment side surfaces 31 with the fiber layer 5 (the inner glass fiber surfaces) touch in a web-like manner.
The body segments 3 of the body segment row a fiber-like cover layer (glass fabric) is placed on the non-fiber-reinforced vertical surface and then - as shown in Fig. 8 (without showing the closed wall area) - the entire structure within the device is completely sealed off.
As is shown in FIG. 9, the dry sandwich structure located within the device 6 is provided with an impregnating agent 8 , which an impregnating agent feed device 7 under pressure via a pipe or hose line, the pipe or hose line connection installed in the wall 62 is connected, leads (more precisely: injected), which triggers an impregnation of the fibrous cover layer 2 (glass fabric layer ) lying below the row of body segments. 10 (the treatment exhaustive) as shown in FIG visible - - In this case, the impregnation medium 8, which is injected as a resin or resin-like substance, ascending in the lying above the body segment row fabric-like cover layer 2 along the web-like course of the fabric layer 5, whereby said impregnated becomes.
The process step is generally referred to as resin injection, which up to a complete impregnation of the fabric-like cover layers 2 including the vertical fabric webs up to the upper cover layer 61 due to the rising resin.
Venting channels (at least one venting channel) are led out to the side and above the vertical wall regions (not shown) of the device 6 . When the impregnating agent begins to emerge (excess resin), the complete impregnation of the fabric webs (the fiber layer 5 (glass fabric) and the fibrous cover layer (glass fabric)) is indicated. The injection is stopped and the hardening process is initiated. After the layers of the glass fabric have been completely soaked, the injection is stopped and their hardening process is initiated, as a result of which a linear segment-stiffened composite of the body segments will set after their hardening.
It is added that before the hardening process begins the impregnated structure by a pressure is built up within the device. Then the hardening process is completed Heat input initiated.
The heat is supplied by direct heating of the impregnated structure using a device internal (not shown) installed heating elements happen. Another possibility of Heat is supplied by indirect heating of the impregnated structure ner contact heat. The contact heat is generated by external heat sources in the (wall of the) Device stored and transferred from there to the body.
A good fabric impregnation without excess resin in the webs (fiber layer 5 , fibrous cover layer) and cover layers 2 can be implemented in such a way that the impregnation in the web-like fiber layer 5 and in the fabric-like cover layers 2 without impregnation medium excess, which is then carried out by thermal expansion the foam-filled body segments 3 is supported during the hardening process.
Using this treatment method (s), sandwich components can be produced, the properties of which can be largely adapted to the requirements (various mechanical loads). For such components (sandwich structures), the linear web structures which are subjected to bending and shear in an orientation direction are primarily advantageous. The geometry of the foam segments is adapted to the requirements of the component or the component area. The size of the body segments 3 and the resulting web spacing are important influencing variables with regard to the rigidity, but also the segment density within a body segment row. Achieving the combination of rigid web structures with a foam-filled honeycomb structure and achieving closed surfaces with such sandwich structures are results that are particularly interesting for aircraft construction. You will be enriched by the fact that an automatic positioning of the individual foam segments to a panel composite, the production of such sandwich components for structural components of an aircraft, for example for the interior, economically influenced.
