Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a drive and brake auxiliary device for wheelchairs that are attached to the frame of a wheelchair is bar and at least one motor-driven and at Need on the floor between the two wheels of the roll has lowerable drive wheel chair.
Pushing a person sitting in a wheelchair is particularly important in inclined terrain with some effort for the pushing person connected. Since often older people other wheelchair-bound persons drive, are already pushing aids of the type described above has been developed, which can be mounted on the wheelchair if necessary can be. With rising terrain, this can at least brought a drive wheel of the auxiliary device into contact with the ground will. Due to the weight of the device, the An drive wheel pressed to the ground and it can be motorized generated torque in a forward movement of the wheelchair implement. The at least one drive wheel is in the Usually mounted on a pivot lever, the pivot point in arranged relatively large distance from the ground in front of the drive wheel is not. In this way, a particularly high contact pressure of the wheel can be achieved when driving uphill. The swivel lever exerts a force component on the drive wheel in the direction below the center of gravity of the wheelchair. However, when driving downhill is such an arrangement of the pivot point of the pivot lever ineffective. Now the drive wheel has a tendency to to be pushed away behind. The conventional sliding front directions are therefore not for use as braking aids is suitable.
To avoid these disadvantages, the drive and brake auxiliary device according to the invention, that the at least one drive wheel on a swivel arm, whose pivot point is roughly the same distance from the ground arranged as the axis of rotation of the at least one drive wheel is, or is attached to a vertical guide. By a such an arrangement becomes a uniform contact pressure of the An driving wheel for both uphill and downhill descents reached. The device can now also be used as a brake Downhill descents can be used. For an even Contact pressure of the drive wheel, which is independent of Eigenge importance of the device, can advantageously also a Lift motor for lowering and raising the at least one lift drive wheel can be provided. The can expediently Lift motor via an intermediate spring with the minde least a drive wheel can be coupled. This creates a defined pressure against the surface, and it can Uneven ground can be easily compensated for by the spring. The lifting motor also simplifies commissioning and Switch off the auxiliary device. In contrast to conventional ones Sliding devices, which are usually two drive wheels released by hand from a locking mechanism and have to be lowered, this work is carried out here Lifting motor. In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the The device according to the invention can already be switched on an automatic lowering of the power supply of the device and pressing and when the power supply is switched off the device automatically lifting the at least one Drive wheel done. Cumbersome loosening of locking devices, which is right especially for the elderly arduous is unnecessary here. The Stromver supply of the motors of the device can expediently done by a battery. There are further advantages if the at least one drive wheel from a wheel hub motor is driven, which requires little installation space. Advantage a design with only one drive wheel is also useful, the middle between the two wheels of the wheelchair is arranged. Has a pair of drive wheels this construction has the advantage of steering the wheelchair is not complicated by the device. For a comfort The device can be operated using an operating device have, with the different basic speeds of the Wheelchairs are continuously selectable. This makes the duration speed adjustment via a "throttle" superfluous.
A preferred embodiment of an invention is described below device according to the invention explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.

FIG. 1 shows a wheelchair 10 on the frame 11 of which a pushing and braking aid device 12 is arranged with the aid of fastenings 13 shown in FIG. 3. The fastening device 12 consists of a drive wheel 14 which is arranged between the two wheels 15 and 16 of the wheelchair 10 . The drive wheel 14 is mounted on a swivel arm 17 , the pivot point D of which is arranged at the same distance from the floor 24 as the axis 18 ( FIG. 3) of the drive wheel 14 . The swivel arm 17 is connected to the axle 18 ( FIG. 2) and has a boom 17.1 to which a spring 19 is articulated. The other end of the spring 19 is connected to a spindle 20 which is set in rotation by a lifting motor 21 and thereby moves the articulation point 22 ( FIG. 2) of the spring 19 along the spindle. At the articulation point 22 is also a Gel karm 23 articulated ( Fig. 2), which after lowering the drive wheel 14 on the ground 24 assumes a vertical position ( Fig. 1). The swivel arm 23 is then in the United extension of the spring 19th In the in Fig. Lifted state of the drive wheel 14 shown in Figure 2, the joint 22 between the link arm 23 and the spring 19 is bent and thereby, raised fully extended spring 19, the wheel 14. The actual drive motor of the wheel 14 is a wheel hub motor 25 with a gear. Both the wheel hub motor 25 and the lifting motor 21 are fed by a battery 26 ( FIG. 3). The drive device 12 is operated via an operating device 27 which is fastened to a handle 28 of the wheelchair 10 . When the operating device 27 is switched on, the drive wheel 14 is automatically lowered from the rest position shown in FIG. 2 into the operating position shown in FIG. 1. For this purpose, the Hubmo gate 21 is activated, which causes a stretching of the joint formed by the spring 19 and the articulated arm 23 at point 22 via the spindle 20 and thus for a lowering of the drive wheel 14 and a pressing with a defined contact pressure against the substrate 24th worries. The spring 19 is in the position shown in Fig. 1 in the semi-compressed state, so that unevenness in the floor can be compensated for at any time. The fact that the pivot point D of the pivot arm 17 , on which the drive wheel 14 is mounted, is arranged at the same distance from the ground 24 as the axis 18 of the wheel 14 , is a uniform contact pressure of the wheel 14 against the ground 24 both uphill and guaranteed even when driving downhill. The device can thus be used both as a sliding auxiliary device when driving uphill and as a braking device when driving downhill.
FIGS. 4 and 5 show an alternative embodiment of a wheelchair 10 'having a sliding and braking aid, in which the drive wheel 14' is mounted on a vertical guide 30. Fig. 4 shows the device with the drive wheel 14 'lowered and Fig. 5 with the drive wheel 14 ' raised. The lifting motor 21 'acts again via an intermediate spring 19 ' on the drive wheel 14 'and thus ensures a uniform contact pressure of the wheel 14 ' against the ground 24 '. This solution is equally suitable as a pushing and braking aid as the solution shown in FIGS . 1 and 2.
