Die Erfindung "bezieht sich auf einen elektrischen Steckkontakt, dessen Stecker und Dose in einem gemeinsamen Gehäuse untergebracht sind. Bei den bisher bekannten Ausführungsformen befinden sich an den inneren Enden der Steckerbolzen Klemmanschlüsse für Kabel, die in Richtung der Steckerbolzen in das Gehäuse eingeführt werden. Die Steckerdosen liegen senkrecht zu den Steckerbolzen und den Kabeln, so daß der Stecker der Abzweigleitung seitlich in das Gehäuse eingesteckt werden kann. Bekanntlich haben solche AusTührungsformen Nachteile in verschiedener Hinsicht. So bildet eine Anzahl von ineinandergesteckten Steckkontakten rechte Winkel miteinander. Das hat zur SOlge, daß der Abstand des letzten Abzweigsteckers von dem Netzstecker wesentlich größer wird und hohen Biegebeanspruchungen ausgesetzt ist, Ferner müssen die Dosen eine größere Klemmwirkung ausüben, damit die Stecker genügend gegen Herausziehen gesichert sind. Außerdem handelt es sich bei dem Erfindungsgegenstand um einen Massenartikel, der in größeren Serien hergestellt wird.
