Description
Method for cleaning objects such as floors and the like and apparatus for carrying out the method. The present invention relates to a method for cleaning objects such as floors and oil. In which an air flow is used, through the dust or the like. is absorbed and a device for performing the method.
In known cleaning devices, such as vacuum cleaners and the like, the air flow generated by the vacuum cleaner has the sole purpose of sucking up and removing dust and the like from the object to be cleaned. The cleaning effect of a conventional vacuum cleaner is limited by the fact that the suction power must be kept below a maximum upper limit, otherwise the nozzle tends to stick to the object, which results in difficulties in moving the nozzle along the surface to be cleaned and furthermore that the dust is more or less firmly bound to the object. In order to remedy these shortcomings, nozzles for vacuum cleaners have been created with parts for mechanically treating the object, but such devices cannot be manufactured at low cost and they are only effective in connection with very specific objects such as some types of Metten bsg. Carpets. The object of the present invention is to avoid the inadequacies described and to provide a method. a device for cleaning floors and d @ l. to create which or which combines simplicity, cheapness and effectiveness.
In a process for cleaning objects such as floors and the like. in which an air stream is used to suck up dust o. is whirled up so that it can be easily detected by the suction air flow: To carry out the process, various devices for generating and various nozzles for guiding the air flows in the manner mentioned are suitable within the scope of the claims. The devices for generating the air currents are known per se and are not shown in the drawings, which show some nozzles for carrying out this method. Details of the invention, in particular of devices for carrying out the method according to the invention, emerge from the following description of execution examples in conjunction with the subclaims: In the drawing: FIG. 1 shows a first device for carrying out the method according to the invention in a front view, Fig. 2 is a plan view of the Vorrichturnt, after zig. 1, fig. 3 shows a second device for carrying out the method according to the invention in a front view. and partially broken up, FiQ. 4 a schematic representation of a third device for carrying out the method according to the invention in a side view, j die z'orric.h # # i, #h der -2 ip. 4 in a plan view, 1 iV. ar @ F according to; @i .. 6 a fourth device - for carrying out the method according to the invention: in a schematic representation, partially in section, and FIG. 7 the device according to FIG. 6 in a plan view. The air nozzle 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is constructed essentially in a conventional manner. The number 2 designates the inside and the number 3 the lower edge part of the nozzle. The inside 2 of the nozzle is connected to a vacuum cleaner by an air line 4. According to the invention, a plurality of individual channels are provided which extend from the upper edge part 5 of the nozzle into the interior 2 of the nozzle. The length of these canals 6 is large in relation to their clear width, and the canals 6 are arranged in such a way that the air currents flowing through them accomplish the cleaning. In addition to the turbulence in the nozzle caused by these air currents, the channels 6 make it possible to arbitrarily reduce the adhesion of the nozzle to the object to be cleaned. This makes it possible to use more powerful sows than with the known cleaning devices. It is also possible to provide the channels between the upper part of the nozzle and its lower edge part 3 and it is of course also possible to arrange the channels in another way so that the outside of the nozzle remains more or less free of dust.
Through the channels 6, the interior 2 of the nozzle 1 can also be connected to a compressed air source, the pressure of which is higher than the external air pressure. For this purpose, the interior 2 of the nozzle 1 can be connected to the compressed air connection of the vacuum cleaner, through which the air normally escapes into the free space. This is according to Fiö. 3 achieved in that a cover 7 is provided, under which the compressed air from the vacuum cleaner is introduced through a line 8 , and which is tightly attached to the nozzle 1. The channels 6 here connect the interior of the nozzle 1 with the space 89 which lies between the cover 7 and the top of the nozzle 1. This forms a closed system, but it is of course also possible to introduce only part of the air into space 9 which leaves the vacuum cleaner. The device zem. FiQ. 3 also has the advantage that the scent pressure in the space 9 can be adjusted in a simple and quiet manner by throttling means, which are not shown in the drawing. In this way, the nozzle can be adapted to the various objects to be cleaned.
The nozzle 1 is preferably sawtooth-like in its lower edge part 3, so that z: 8. Particles that are stuck in a mat or carpet are loosened, and light te can be detected by the suction air flow or compressed air flow: For nozzles which have a circular or similar shape, it is useful to have the channels 6 essentially tangential to the nozzle contour to run, whereby a strong vortex effect is obtained in the nozzle . It is clear that optimal flow conditions and, as a consequence, a considerably improved suction effect can be obtained if the channels 6 are suitably dimensioned and arranged.
In the device shown in Figures 4 and 5 , compressed air is introduced into a nozzle 10; which has an inlet pipe 11, a distribution pipe 12 which is closed at both ends, and a number of spray nozzles 13 which are connected to the pipe 12 and directed at an angle downwards. On the outer side of the device, a second nozzle 14 is provided, which has a part 15 on-C :) which rests on the object to be cleaned. The opening 16 of the nozzle 14 is reported horizontally forward. This suction nozzle 14 is connected to the compressed air nozzle 10 by adjustable connecting means 17. The air that leaves the spray nozzles 13 hits the object at a predetermined angle, thereby dissolving dust or the like. out of this stand and whirls it up. These particles are then picked up by the suction air flow which runs through the nozzle 14. The nozzle 10 can be viewed as a brush, while the nozzle 14 acts as a shovel. It is of course possible to adjust this combined device to achieve an optimal suction effect by adjusting the distance between the nozzles 10 and 14 and their mutual angular position.
The apparatus shown in Figs. 6 and 7 consists of an air pipe 19 through which compressed air into a passage 20 flows, which the nozzle ring, surrounds, and aue of the obliquely downwardly and inwardly deviate through spray nozzles 21 corresponds. This compressed air nozzle is connected to a suction nozzle 18, in the lower part of which rotatable brushes 22 are arranged. The air cushion which runs i-generated fluidize has the task of dust around the suction nozzle 18 and further to pre- vent, the dust-u. Like. The suction nozzle 18 can be laterally upstream die.durch the spray nozzles 21 escaping. In some cases, the spray nozzles 21 can also be replaced by a slot which surrounds the suction nozzle 18 and whose carrier can serve as an accessory to conventional street cleaning machines.
The described and illustrated devices can be modified within the scope of the patent claims . The sow :; - or compressed air units can also be adapted to the respective requirements, but in most cases of application the boom output will be greater than the output of the compressed air source.
