Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
Based on this knowledge, is recently a method for drying in particular those substances that are a solidification or hardening is used, which essentially
According to this method, a layer of varnish is created dried in a small part of the time when irradiated by means of artificial light sources, which is otherwise only required by heat during drying, even if in both cases the temperature and the other circumstances are the same. Since now the nature of the conditioned by the light physical or chemical reaction processes of the dry goods are not exactly accurate anyway can be seen, so far without
So z. Dies kann" unschwer dadurch geschehen, daß man beispielsweise zwischen das Trockengut und eine Quelle* special selection always such light sources used which were just available, i.e. in most cases white light, which is a mixture of different colored light rays. It it has now been found that with this indiscriminate use of light, arbitrary Paint very often a certain delay in drying as well as harmful side effects (e.g. decomposition, discoloration of the dry material). The inventor has now first set the task of eliminating these side effects and a perfected one To find a method of light drying for all types of dry goods, according to which purposefully any harmful influence on the dry material is excluded and at the same time the greatest possible acceleration of the drying process is achieved. The basis for the solution of this new problem was created by the fact that the inventor determined that, even if in general, the drying is already promoted with irradiation by mixed light, but only here only rays of light of a certain color promote, while the rays of light other colors remain ineffective or even ineffective when drying on the same item to be dried delay the drying process and have a detrimental effect on the product by making it undesirable Cause side effects. So z. B. it has been found that when drying Sugar adds the almost dry sugar, which contains only two percent moisture Irradiation with red light, instead of solidifying or hardening, becomes liquid again. Hereafter, the above-mentioned problem was solved by a perfected light drying method achieved, according to which the material is exposed to the action of such a light source, which with avoidance respectively Elimination of the delaying or disruptive rays only light rays of certain Color or contains certain wavelengths. To carry out this procedure is It is therefore necessary to use the light color that corresponds to the type of material to be dried determined by selection. This "can easily be done by, for example between the dry material and a source

It will then, in a comparison, readily result in a color in which the goods are without annoying side effect is the quickest way to get into the dry state, and this color is what the type of dry food for
Ein praktisches Beispiel für das neue Verfahren ist folgendes:ίο corresponds to the purpose to be achieved. at Execution of this method has now been found to work in a large number of too drying bodies the selected light color is the same or approximately the same as the basic color, that is, the color that the body reflects most vigorously. So it will for such bodies it should be possible without further ado to carry out the method in such a way that the light rays are selected according to the color of the dry goods. It is here it goes without saying that the actual basic color of the body and not an accidental one Admixture comes primarily into consideration. A practical example of the new process is following:
Metal sheets with a blue paint coat dry when irradiated with electric arc light and at a temperature of 26 to 28 ° within 3 hours; however, they change their blue color and take on a greenish appearance. If, on the other hand, a mixture of the light rays of white and blue incandescent lamps is used, the paint not only dries in a considerably shorter time (1 to i x / 2 hours), but also without any change in color, i.e. the paintwork retains its previous blue color at.
Likewise, z. B. in the drying of sugar show that here too the application blue light the drying process in the shortest possible time and without flowing or other harmful effects on the sugar able to bring about.
