An dem umklappbaren Teil α des Schorn-Steines sind in bekannter Weise an Armen b Belastungsgewichte c befestigt, welche das Gewicht dieses Schornsteinteiles ausgleichen. Diese drehbare Lagerung des Zylinders g ist nötig, da der Angriffspunkt der Kolbenstange g beim Umlegen des Schornsteines einen Kreisbogen beschreibt und somit der Zylinder g eine geringe Bewegung ausführen muß. Dieser Haken wird beim Umlegen des Schornsteines entgegen der Wirkung eines Gegengewichtes durch die Rolle des Hebels k heruntergedrückt, bis der Schornstein so weit umgelegt ist, daß der Haken, nachdem er durch die Rolle freigegeben ist, infolge der Wirkung des Gegengewichtes die Rolle erfaßt und festhält. Um den Schornstein wieder aufrichten zu können, muß der Haken durch Schnurzug oder in beliebiger anderer Weise wieder zurückgezogen werden.
