Method and device for the hydraulic separation of floating matter
from a grain-water mixture The invention relates to a method and a
Device for the hydraulic separation of light additions from bulk materials,
preferably from barley.

weiterer
Vorteil der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung ist, daB diese

geringem Aufwand gewartet werden kann.

A method for cleaning grains is known, in which these are mixed with water before entering a washing container and additionally swirled for intensive washing. The grain-water mixture is fed into the washing tank in an upward motion and, as a result of the widening of the cross-section, is subjected to a multiple deceleration of the speed The impurities that precipitate out of the grain-water mixture are removed from the washing container by being washed away. The grain-water mixture, which has been cleaned and freed of impurities, is rinsed into a catching device arranged in the washing container and discharged from there. The device required to carry out this process is very expensive and can only be maintained with a considerable amount of work. In addition, in the conventional treatment of grains, for example barley for the production of malt, they are subjected to a mechanical pretreatment before washing or soaking, during which stones, weed seeds etc. are excreted. The mechanical pre-cleaning has proven to be the most efficient compared to other known methods.Only the separation of chaff, deaf grains, husks, abrasion, etc., encounters difficulties, for example with combine harvested grain. The invention is based on the object of a method and a device for implementation of the process, with the help of which pretreated grains are separated in a continuous sequence by hydraulic means from light additions such as chaff, husks, deaf grains, etc. * The device should be simple in its structure and maintenance Form nests, but should be quickly removed from the entire surface of the container contents. According to the invention, the object is achieved by dividing the grain-water mixture 3m container into several, preferably four, vertical eddy currents and increasing the flow speed of the upper layer of the container contents will. This is achieved by several, preferably four
