Das ist ein wesentlicher Vorteil gegenüber der Weichstoffülldichtung. Bei bekannten Anpreßdrücken kann das Profil des Hohlformringes so gewählt werden,-daß nach dem Anpressen der Dichtung (Vorpreßdruck), der Dichtring sich verformt und damit die Dichtfläche vergrößert, um den Anpreßdruck sicher aufzunehmen. Durch diesen Umstand ist es möglich, die genaue Betriebshöhe vorauszubestimmen und auch einzuhalten.
