Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMTPATENT OFFICE
Feeding the fish in ponds has usually been done in such a way that you can Threw food in the pond and left it to the fish to forage for their food. One did the remark that the feed as a result of the weight of the grains and when crushed or soft feed, even the finer parts can easily be found in the ones present in every pond Mud and sunk between plants and therefore no longer for the fish was found, so was lost. In order to remedy this situation, the food was brought on one or more parts of the pond, which should be freed from mud and plants as far as possible were, that is, near the shore in flat spots. But then you had that again Disadvantage that the fish, which need their complete food, are not alone in the artificial Find food, mainly accumulated at these few feeding places, and stopped nearby and the natural food in the water was no longer in used to the extent that occurs with a more general distribution of the fodder.
In addition, the problem remained that one still did not know how much the fish were from actually consumed or needed the feed administered. You couldn't either control which food is preferred by the fish and in which months the Diet demands more food than in others. Checking the once poured in Feed or whether the pond keeper had fed at all was not possible.
An attempt was then made to improve the feeding by so-called, from an im Water-fixed wooden board with vertical edge strips provided with feeding tables which, however, by no means served their purpose, because through those existing in the water or waves caused by the fish, the feed was very easily whirled up and over the edge of the Plate thrown away and thus also lost for feeding. A checkpoint was therefore also not possible and also the disadvantage mentioned at the beginning that the Only lingering fish in the immediate vicinity of the feeding place could not be removed, because these feeding tables could only be placed in very shallow waters. These Problems are to be eliminated by the present feeding device.
It consists essentially of a plate of whatever material that passes through an arbitrarily designed swimmer is carried. This lining plate is on the edges provided with bends or with inwardly protruding strips, so that if the The feed is whirled up by the movement of the waves, the same by the impact against the Bends or strips are thrown back and brought back onto the plate, so that it is absolutely impossible for the feed to spill or be lost.
The invention "is on the drawing in two exemplary embodiments in perspective views brought to illustration.
As can be seen from the drawing (Fig. 1), the feeding device consists of a Plate I, which bends or vertically standing strips with inwardly protruding
Leisten 2 besitzt. Has lasts 2. This plate, which can expediently be provided with reinforcing ribs on its underside, is supported by chains 3 _or by another device that appears expedient with a corresponding Distance overlying swimmers 4 of any shape connected. This Float is either made of metal, wood, or some other material that works best a cavity which is airtightly closed and is preferably in such Form made that a funnel 5 is formed in the middle of the upper part of this float through which the feed is poured and through the hole 6 going through the float to the middle of the one below Lining plate 1 falls. The buoyancy of this float can be dimensioned in this way be that the same the feed plate floating together with the poured feed in such a way that at any time the feeding place is painted by the appropriately painted Float remains visible. However, it is more useful to use the buoyancy of this float to be dimensioned so that the same only the lining plate and still a low weight can carry over it, but not the feed plate when all feed has been poured out. In In this case, the float would be after the lining plate was completely filled with food pulled down so that the whole feed plate lies on the bottom of the pond. Sinking of this feed device into the mud is due to the size of the feed plate and the bends or strips located thereon excluded. Now have the fish If the feed is consumed and therefore a new feeding is necessary, the swimmer rises 4 due to its buoyancy over the water surface, so that it is made clear to the supervisory staff that a Replenishment of the feed is required.
To prevent the fish from falling down due to the wave movement produced of the lining takes place from the lining plate is, as already mentioned above, the same with bends or strips 2 provided, which can have any shape, so that if the feed is thrown towards the edges of the feed plate by the wave movement of the fish is, the same there from the bends respectively. inwardly protruding strips back to the middle of the lining plate is driven back.
For feeding the trout, generally all salmonids and fish that are not their food pick it up from the ground, but only catch it when it is still floating in the water, the feeding device shown in Fig. 2 at places of the streams and ponds, which flow is present, attached. The feed plate 1 has to be fed Such fish have no bends or ledges upwards at the front and rear ends and the feed is not fed to the center of the feed plate, but through the corresponding one mounted funnel 7 at the front end of the feed plate facing the flow of water heaped up, whereby it is achieved that the feed through the stream of water, which flows in the direction of the arrow is gradually moved backwards on the lining plate and there falls into the water in individual parts. Since now the flow of water is different is strong, you can see the uniform fall of the feed from the Futterplattc fully regulate by making the rear chains of the feed plate longer or shorter hook; So if there was a strong current in the feed plate, there would be an incline at the rear Put the end upwards, while in a weak current you can put the feed plate at the back would hang lower as needed. If necessary, the lining plate can be attached to their The surface may be obstructed by hooks, strips, protrusions, etc. in order to avoid the Distribute feed more evenly and more slowly. This is how it is until now difficult artificial feeding 'of the salmonids solved in the happiest way.
For these Füttcrungsvorrichtungen the buoyancy of the swimmer is so great that he carries the feed plate with the heaped up feed.
The embodiment of the float and the connection between the float and the feed plate, as well as the arrangement of the hopper can of course be any be e.g. B. instead of a cylindrically shaped float, one or more cylindrical or cubic floats come into use. The connection between the float 4 and the lining plate ι instead of the one provided in the drawing Chains 3, which, depending on the depth of the water, allow the float to be adjusted the lining plate can also be made possible by a fixed or rigid connection between Float and lining plate are made.
There are several advantages to using this feeding device.
This feeding device ensures that the feed administered is completely absorbed and thus a rational feeding of the fish is guaranteed, with the administration the correct amount of feed to the fish, which up to now could never be calculated, but precisely had to be tried out, a more regular one. It is also important to check exactly which species of feed are particularly preferred by the fish; you can see exactly
In which months the feeding of the fish must be greater, whether by the keeper has been fed at all and at all feeding stations. One can use the feeding device arrange at all points of the pond, and since they are either floating on the surface or can be placed on the bottom of the pond so it is possible to use the feeding places Set up evenly everywhere in the ponds, eliminating the harmful contraction of the fish at a few individual feeding places is avoided, as a result the fish remain more dispersed in the total area of the pond and everywhere the natural Consume food better, which in turn means that the fish have less maintenance food need, because they are no longer required, long distances to the increased feeding places to swim through. No more food is lost at the feeding stations; a new feeding only occurs when the Fish the feed on the feed plate is consumed, and that is only the case when the swimmer appears above the surface of the water.
