The invention relates to a switch for Use with a cam actuator or the like, with a bracket, a plunger, which extends through an opening in the bracket for rectilinear movement with respect to the bracket, a cam follower, a generally circular disk-shaped movable contact part, the is attached to the plunger, a plurality of fixed contact parts, which are attached to the bracket are and near the movable con. ' clock part lie to switch closed and switch open positions upon movement of said contact part to obtain, and with a spring device, which is coupled to the plunger, to the To press the cam follower against a surface of the actuating cam.
Switches of this type are described in British Patent 947,824 and in the United States Patent 2195 746. In the known switches with a bracket through which a plunger to extends rectilinear movement and with a carried by the plunger, circular disk-shaped movable Contact part does not have a self-centering effect that ensures that the movable, a disc representing a contact part comes to lie centrally with respect to the stationary contact parts and thereby by a wiping movement causing the centering between the fixed and be ^ - Removable contact parts are created that could enable the contacts to self-clean. The known Switches are therefore subject to severe contamination from scorching and burning spots. These are caused by sparks always occurring in the same places, what to uncontrollable and uneven increases in electrical contact resistance leads. There is also the risk that the same closing force will not be obtained at every contact point is because the plunger carrying the movable contact disc is not always exactly perpendicular in the for it provided opening of the bracket slides, which is especially after prolonged use by knocking out the opening bore and wear of the slide guide occurs.
This switch also has no self-centering of the contact discs and no cleaning effect the contact point.
It is the object of the present invention to provide for a switch of the type mentioned above ensure that the circular disk-shaped movable contact part is automatically centered on the stationary Contact parts come to rest when the switch is closed, and that the contact points clean it yourself when you press the switch. This is achieved in that it is known per se Make the contact surface of the movable disc evenly pointed towards and around its peripheral edge runs.
If the disc hits the stationary contact parts in a non-centric manner at first thereby a wiping movement of the contact surface against the fixed contact parts, so that Dirt and combustion residues are scraped off. If the switch is pressed several times, it takes place the engagement of the disc with the fixed contact parts is not always in the same place, so that the contact wear is reduced.
Dieses Abdämpfen geschieht dadurch, daß die Halterung aus zwei Halterungsgliedern besteht, wobei der Stößel beweglich in demAn advantageous development of the invention has a device for damping contact bounce effects on. The parts of the switch according to the invention are only of a small number and can easily be exchanged and convenient replacement. Composite components such as the riveted contact and leaf spring groups of known switches, which cannot be easily exchanged, are avoided.
In the F i g. 5 to 7, wherein reference numerals with dashes the same parts as in FIGS. Denote 1 to 4, is an embodiment of the switch with an arrangement for evaporation when closing occurring bounce shown. In this example, the bracket has two bracket links 122, 124 formed. The support member 122 is a support plate, and the support member 124 forms a bracket. The fixed contact parts 106 'are mounted on the support member 124, for example in the manner described above in connection with FIG. 1 to 3 described.
A device 138 is used to compress the support members. The support member 124 is spring preloaded in this way and pushes with the downward Side members 126 on the support member 122. The device comprises vertically arranged slide pins 128 mounted on said support plate, four such pins being used in this example as best shown in FIG. The slide pins 128 are threaded into suitable, internally threaded openings 130 are screwed into the support member 122. That Support member 124 is slidably mounted on the unthreaded portions of slide pins 128, which run through associated openings 134 in the holder.
The slide pins 128 are long enough to extend upwardly from the upper surface 136 of the support member 124 protrude. An equal number of springs are on the protruding parts of the slide pins 128 assembled. The springs are between heads 140 of the slide pins and the adjacent surface of the Retaining member 124 compressed. With this arrangement it causes the contact disc to shift 108 'upwards, that the contact parts 106' together with the support member 124 under spring pressure moves upwards will.
In Fig. 8 shows a multi-pole changeover switch. In Fig. 8 denote reference symbols with Strokes the same components as in Fig. 1 to 3 or Figs. 5 to 7. In this embodiment of the invention is a number of normally closed fixed contact parts 142 also on the support member 122 'arranged. The contact portions 142 are adapted for engagement with the underside of the disc 144, which is mounted on the spring-loaded plunger 112 ', as previously in connection with F i g. 1 to 4 of the drawings. The disk 144 is therefore in a normally closed contact position in relation to the lower fixed contact parts 142 pressed. The upper fixed contact portions 106 'are on the upper surface 136' of the support member 124 'arranged. The contact parts 106 'are therefore normally at a distance of of disk 144 and represent the normally open contacts of the switch.
In this example, as shown in FIG. 8, the opposing surfaces 146 of FIG Disk 144 of spherical cap shape. The device 138 of FIG. 5 to 7, which are also in F i g. 8 may be omitted depending on the application of the switch.
In Fig. 9, wherein the same reference numerals with a prime refer to the same components as in FIGS. 1 to 3 Refer to another embodiment of a device for damping impact effects is shown. In this embodiment of the invention, a plunger 148 for the disc 108 'with an im generally hollow or tubular shape provided. The plunger 148 is at its upper end screwed into an internally threaded opening in the underside of disk 108 ', as at 150 shown. An outwardly rotated flange 152 therefore serves at the lower end of the plunger 148 as a stop for a clamping device 110 '. In this example, the cam follower 154 held within tubular plunger 148 by means of upper, outwardly directed flange 156, which engages the inwardly directed shoulder stop 158 of the tubular plunger 148.
An additional tensioning device 160 is coupled to the plunger 148 and to the cam follower. The helical compression spring forming the additional tensioning device 160 is designed to be stronger than the first-mentioned jig 110 ', so that the jig 110' does not compress any further until the disc 108 'engages the stationary contact portions 106'.
