Fixierungs-und Lösungsmittel für Riechstoffe und kosmetische Grundstoffe Die in der Parfümerie viel verwendeten Lösungsmittel, wie beispielsweise Phthalsäureester, Citronensäureester und Glykole, sind zwar geruchlos, doch haben sie die Nachteile, entweder bitter zu schmecken, nicht völlig ausreichend zu lösen oder physiologisch nicht ganz unbedenklich zu sein. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß das in der Natur vorkommende Bisabolen und Bisabolol wie die Ester des letzteren zwar sehr schwach riechen, aber alle Riechstoffe und ätherischen Ole wie auch die Harzdrogen ausgezeichnet lösen und d darüber hinaus die Riechstoffzusammensetzungen geruchlich egalisieren. Die wesentlich günstigeren Eigenschaften des Bisabolols und des Bisabolens tragen zu einer beachtlichen Verbesserung der RiechstofFkompositionen bei, was nicht vorauszusehen war, denn beide kommen in der Natur nur in vereinzelten ätherischen Ölen in meist untergeordneten Mengen vor. In der Eignung gleichwertig sind synthetisch hergestelltes Bisabolol oder Bisabolen (Literatur : P. de Mayo, Mono- and Sesquiterpenoids, Vol. II, S. 184, 192 ; P.
