Abstract

The device generates current and heat with a steam power process (10) with external combustion and has a burner (18), a steam generator (22) for transferring heat from hot flue gas to a working medium, a high-pressure pump (26) for pumping the working medium, an expansion machine (34) for the working medium, a generator (38) for generating electric current, a condenser (50) for the expanded working medium and an arrangement (68,70) for determining the heat and/or current demand. The temperature, pressure and mass flow of the working medium are electrically controllable to enable demand-matching variable thermal output coupling to different temperature levels.
