Die Verschlusseinrichtung ist als Hülse ausgebildet und gegenüber dem Spritzrohr in Längs- und Umfangsrichtung verschiebbar, wodurch im Spritzrohr umfangseitig angeordnete Ölaustrittsöffnungen gezielt freigegeben oder verschlossen, d. h. kontrolliert werden können. Die Lage der Ölaustrittsöffnungen ist entsprechend der Lage der zu kühlenden oder nicht zu kühlenden Zahnradpaarungen gewählt. Die Ansteuerung der Hülse erfolgt über einen Mitnehmer, der mit einer Schaltstange einer Schaltbetätigung mechanisch gekoppelt ist. Damit erreicht man in Abhängigkeit von dem gewählten Gang eine gezielte Kühlung der im Leistungspfad gelegenen Zahnradpaarung, während die lastfrei umlaufenden Zahnräder nicht zusätzlich mit Öl versorgt werden. Der Wirkungsgrad des Getriebes wird dadurch verbessert.
