Claims (20)

  1. Motor vehicle trim element with a base body ( 14 ), the at least one after installation in or on a surface to be decorated ( 10 ) visible decorative surface ( 20 ) and a receiving opening ( 16 ) in the decorative surface ( 20 ), and with one in or under the receiving opening ( 16 ) arranged lighting unit ( 18 ), which has a transparent cover layer ( 40 ; 54 ; 76 ; 80 ), at least one for the top layer ( 40 ; 54 ; 76 ; 80 ) incident light semi-reflective functional layer ( 38 ; 52 ; 74 ) and a light source ( 30 ; 50 ; 62 ; 72 ), by means of which light through the semi-reflective functional layer ( 38 ; 52 ; 74 ) and the top layer ( 40 ; 54 ; 76 ; 80 ) can be radiated.
  2. Motor vehicle trim element according to claim 1, characterized in that it as a decorative strip ( 12 ) is trained.
  3. Motor vehicle trim element according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it with a motor vehicle door sill ( 10 ) connected is.
