Abstract

A process for controlling a starting element (hydrodynamic converter, coupling or hybrid drive of an electrical machine) for a motor vehicle in a creep mode supplies an ideal value to the element based on at least one of vehicle inclination, brake pressure, distance from obstructions and type of driver.

Description

Technisches GebietTechnical field

There are different concepts for starting elements in the drive train of one Motor vehicle. These include, for example, hydrodynamic torque converters, Couplings or electrical machines for hybrid drives.

An automated clutch is part of a manual transmission or automated transmission, in which all operations that the driver of the motor vehicle at a Switching operation is carried out by electronically controlled actuator systems. In physical terms, this means an opening of the clutch during the shifting process and thus an interruption in traction.

A hydraulic torque converter is used as a starting element in automatic transmissions Application. In hybrid drives, at least one electric machine usually serves as Starting element. Hybrid drives are vehicle drives with more than one drive source, usually a combination of an internal combustion engine and an electric drive.

In the "creep" driving state (crawling mode) with the gear selected and not actuated accelerator pedal a torque, the so-called creep torque, by means of a Adjusting device set in the starting element and acts on the drive wheels of the motor vehicle. The creep torque is intended to accelerate the brake when released Vehicle up to one by the engine speed and gear ratio with converter slip limit speed.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

With modern designs of automatic transmissions and automated manual transmissions the creep torque adjustable. In automatic transmissions, this is done by regulating the Idle speed possible. Automatic gearboxes are made using a Coupling actuators regulated. In the case of hybrid drives, regulation of the creep torque is usually over the electric machine possible. However, environmental conditions of the Motor vehicle, for example the slope of the road on which the vehicle is located, and Driver specifications, for example brake application, not at all or only insufficiently considered. This results in losses in particular in driving comfort and others Disadvantages, for example an avoidable increase in fuel consumption.

DE 197 21 034 A1 relates to a motor vehicle with an automated one Torque transmission system, wherein a control unit has a creep process when inserted Controls gear, unactuated brakes and unactuated load lever. With a controlled one Predeterminable clutch torque that can be transmitted by the torque transmission system crawls the vehicle, the engine control when controlling a Creep increases the engine torque at least substantially by a predetermined value. A creep torque value is controlled, regardless of the ambient conditions or driver specifications. The attainable with this given creep torque Creep speed is u. a. depending on the road gradient. On very steep mountains it can even happen that the vehicle is against the uphill crawl request the driver moves downhill. The resulting moment in creep mode regulates the in DE 197 21 034 A1 disclosed solution of the driver by means of vehicle braking. This means high wear on clutch and brake.

From DE 196 39 293 C1 an automatic control of a clutch is in the Drive train of a motor vehicle known. At low speed or the vehicle is stationary with the gear engaged, the brake not applied and the brake not applied Control member or the like initially set a high creep torque, which after predefined period of time - with the brake still not applied and the brake not applied Accelerator pedal - is automatically reduced. Even with this solution from the prior art the transmitted creep torque is independent of those surrounding the vehicle Conditions chosen. These are two specified creep torque setpoints, a high and a reduced, so that the above for DE 197 21 034 A1 set mentioned disadvantages.

DE 197 33 465 A1 relates to an arrangement and a method for controlling a automated coupling of a motor vehicle at low vehicle speeds. There are means for detecting an actuation of a brake pedal, a backward roll and a forward roll provided by the corresponding output signals can be generated. Furthermore, a decision device is used to evaluate the Output signals and for the detection of a current driving condition. It stands with the clutch connected by the decision maker according to the determined Driving state is controllable. In the associated procedure, between the states A distinction is made between "brake application", "normal pull" and "wrong direction". The disadvantage is while rolling back, d. H. the "wrong direction" state can only be recognized when there is a measurable speed in the wrong direction. Thus, the Rolling back can only be counteracted with a certain delay.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The inventive method for controlling a starting element avoids the State of the art disadvantages and enables optimal control of the Creep torque depending on the current driving situation. It is also advantageous that thereby increasing driving comfort while fuel consumption and clutch and Brake wear can be reduced.

According to the invention, these advantages are achieved by a method for regulating a automatic clutch of a motor vehicle in crawl mode, wherein a Creep torque setpoint is set on the clutch depending on Ambient conditions and / or driver specifications of the motor vehicle is set.

In this context, environmental conditions are all influences on the Motor vehicle from its environment, when they occur a targeted increase or Reduction of the creep torque setpoint advantageously for the creep torque control Driving comfort, wear, safety or fuel consumption impact. examples for this are the road gradient or the distance of the motor vehicle to an obstacle.

In this context, driver specifications mean all influences on the motor vehicle by the Drivers, due to which targeted creep torque setpoint changes have a positive effect Driving comfort, wear, safety or fuel consumption impact. examples for this are the brake application by the driver or the driving style of the driver (sporty or cozy).

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the Creep torque setpoint depending on the current inclination of the motor vehicle and one slope downforce acting on the motor vehicle.

The gravity on body (for example motor vehicles) on the surface of the earth leads to an accelerating force directed downwards, parallel to the inclined plane, for bodies on an inclined plane with an inclination angle α. This downhill force has the amount F H = mgsinα.

The inclination of the motor vehicle is z. B. with from Determination of known tilt sensors. Usually in Motor vehicles already have inclination sensors for other applications (e.g. for Tank level determination or for the navigation system), their measurement results can also be used for the present invention.

Other ways of determining the inclination of the motor vehicle at the The present invention is the use of navigation data or the estimation based on the "driving history". The navigation data can with known vehicle position and direction of travel also contain values about the current road inclination, for example. In this context, "driving history" is the well-known currently applied Moments and the resulting values of vehicle speed and Acceleration is meant from the context of the current inclination of the road can be concluded.

In the present invention, the creep torque depends on the current motor vehicle accelerating slope downforce. For example, the creep torque is reduced or even vice versa, if the downhill force in the desired direction of travel Motor vehicle increases or the creep torque is increased when the motor vehicle decelerated by a downward slope force opposing the desired direction of travel becomes. So a vehicle movement in the wrong direction can occur even on steep mountains be avoided. This increases driving comfort since the driver of the motor vehicle regardless of the road gradient with a creep of the motor vehicle in the can calculate the desired direction. This leaves him with a quick response in the form of a abrupt braking when the vehicle rolls back on a slope and you can Collisions with obstacles, for example other motor vehicles, are avoided, that can happen when rolling back. The direction of travel is recognized by the present invention z. B. with modern ABS speed sensors, the values to the Deliver speed and direction.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the Creep torque setpoint as a function of a brake pedal pressure caused by a driver set, with the creep torque setpoint being reduced as the brake pedal pressure increases becomes. The creep torque setpoint can be, for example, in a linear relationship stand with the brake pedal pressure or at certain brake pedal pressure values be gradually reduced. In the prior art, the resulting creep torque is obtained on Wheel of the motor vehicle as the difference between that applied by a creeper Moments (corresponding to the creep torque setpoint) and that by the brake applied value of the torque (braking torque). Both systems (brake and clutch) work independently of each other and possibly also against each other.

It is advantageous in the present invention that the wear of the brake and Coupling reduced, the fuel consumption of the motor vehicle reduced and the Driving comfort can be increased because the application of a creep torque against the effect of Brake is avoided entirely or largely.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the Creep torque setpoint as a function of a distance measured by a sensor Motor vehicle set to obstacles. So when approaching a Obstacle, for example to another motor vehicle, the creep torque setpoint and thus the creep speed of the motor vehicle can be reduced to avoid the risk of To reduce collision with the obstacle or its consequences. Thus in turn, the driving comfort increases, brake and clutch, which are otherwise used more would be spared and for example the parking process for the driver of the Motor vehicle simplified.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the Creep torque setpoint is set depending on a current driver type. Of Creep torque is accordingly adapted to the driver's driving behavior. This is particularly important an adjustment of the acceleration behavior and the creep speed, after the driver released the brake when the motor vehicle was stationary, but not that Has pressed the accelerator pedal. This starting behavior is, for example, on sporty or on comfortable driving behavior set.

Preferably said preferred embodiments of the present Invention combined with each other to provide maximum comfort and minimum Achieve wear and fuel consumption. For example, the Creep torque setpoint must be selected so that the slope of the road when starting is taken into account and also the acceleration behavior and the creep speed are adapted to the driver type. In addition, the creep torque when braking or at approaching an obstacle can be reduced.

Fig. 1 shows schematically the moments that occur in a motor vehicle on a slope in the prior art.

The moments M are plotted on the ordinate and the slope S of the road on which the motor vehicle is located is plotted on the abscissa. A positive slope S corresponds to a slope "downhill" relative to the desired direction of travel, a negative slope is an "uphill" relative to the desired direction of travel. The solid line represents the downhill slope 1 , which acts on the motor vehicle due to the slope S. On an "uphill" slope, the downhill slope 1 takes on negative values. This means that the slope drive 1 counteracts the desired direction of travel. With an incline S with the value zero, the downhill drive torque 1 also assumes the value zero because the vehicle is on a flat surface without an incline. It is then neither accelerated nor decelerated by the downhill force.

In the prior art, the creeping torque 2 represented by the dashed line is applied by a creeping device (eg converter, clutch, electric machine) in order to accelerate the motor vehicle to a final creeping speed. In the prior art, the creep torque 2 when starting the motor vehicle, as can be seen from FIG. 1, has a constant value, regardless of ambient conditions such as the slope S. (In the case of a motor vehicle traveling at a speed v, the creep torque applied by the creep device is speed-dependent) , The creep torque 2 should lead to a acceleration of the motor vehicle in the desired direction of travel when the vehicle is released when the brakes are released, up to a final creep speed predetermined by the engine speed, the transmission ratio with converter slip and by further (neglected) driving resistances. In the prior art, however, the final creep speed depends largely on the downhill slope 1 . The resulting torque 3 , which accelerates a stationary motor vehicle when the brake is released, results from the interaction of the downhill torque 1 and the creep torque 2 . It takes positive values for a positive slope 5 or a negative slope S which is greater than at the reversal point 5 . A positive resulting torque 3 causes the motor vehicle to accelerate in the desired direction of travel. At the reversal point 5 , the resulting moment is zero, since the creeping moment 2 and the downward slope 1 act in opposite directions with equal amounts. In this case, the vehicle stops when the driver releases the brakes while the vehicle is in gear. The hatched area 4 is critical in the prior art, in which the resulting moment 3 is negative and thus acts counter to the desired direction of travel. In this area it is so uphill that the slope drive 1, contrary to the desired direction of travel, exceeds the creeping moment 2 , which is applied by a creeping device in the desired direction of travel. The vehicle consequently rolls in a direction opposite to the desired direction of travel when the brake is released when the vehicle is stationary. In such a situation, the driver has to brake. This means a considerable lack of driving comfort, wear of the clutch and brake and bears the risk that the motor vehicle will collide with an obstacle (for example another motor vehicle) when the vehicle rolls back unexpectedly. In order to avoid these and other shortcomings in the prior art, the creep torque 2 applied by the automatic transmission is additionally set as a function of ambient conditions and / or driver specifications.

Fig. 2 shows schematically the moments that occur in a motor vehicle on a slope according to a preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention.

Moments M and the slope S are again plotted on the Y axis and the X axis, respectively. The slope drive 1 is linearly related to the slope S and runs through the zero point. The aim of the preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention shown in FIG. 2 is to set a (possibly constant) resulting torque 6 independently of the downhill slope 1 and thus independently of the slope S of the road. This is achieved in that the creep torque setpoint is set as a function of the current inclination and a downward slope force acting on the motor vehicle. In this preferred embodiment of the present invention, the creep torque setpoint when the motor vehicle is accelerating is set to a final creep speed such that a torque generated by the downhill force and the creep torque setpoint together result in a largely constant resulting torque for accelerating the motor vehicle until the creeping speed is reached , At each point of the diagram shown in FIG. 2, the addition of downward slope 1 and controlled creep torque 7 results in a largely constant positive resulting torque 3 , which accelerates the motor vehicle regardless of the value and the direction of the slope S. Creep torque 2 is increased uphill and decreased downhill. From the moment reversal point 8 , a negative creep torque must be applied with increasing positive slope S (steeper downhill) in order to achieve the largely constant resulting torque 6 . The area 9 with negative creep torque is shown hatched in FIG. 2. A negative creep torque can be set as the reverse torque by the automatic transmission. A negative creep torque can also be set according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention in that, in addition to a clutch torque, a braking torque is optionally used as a manipulated variable in order to achieve the creep torque setpoint. The braking torque is automatically generated by a vehicle brake. This is possible in particular in motor vehicles with a brake-by-wire system in which the hydraulic connection between the brake pedal and the wheel brake is separated. The driver's braking command is detected when the brake pedal is actuated by means of redundant sensors. The measured sensor signals are processed in suitable microcomputers and their commands are used to control the wheel brakes. Since the braking command is detected in the form of electrical signals via electrical lines and passed on to the braking system, brake-by-wire simply means nothing else than "braking via electrical wire". The actual braking force is applied in the car either electrohydraulically or purely electromechanically. The brake pedal is mechanically decoupled from the brake system and the braking force determined by a computer is generated hydraulically or with electrical actuators. This brake-by-wire system can be easily networked with driver assistance systems, i.e. also with a system that generates a defined braking torque in creep mode without the driver applying the brakes. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 2, the negative creeping torque in the region 9 can consequently be generated by a brake-by-wire system in the form of a braking torque.

In the case of hybrid drives, there is in a further preferred embodiment Present invention the possibility of a negative creep torque by operating the Generate electric machine as a generator. The kinetic energy of the Vehicle converted into electrical energy. This has the particular advantage that the kinetic energy is not lost as "useless" thermal energy for the vehicle, but stored and reused if necessary in the form of electrical energy can be. The wear on the brakes is also reduced.

Fig. 3 shows a diagram with the moments that act in the crawl mode with the brake applied to a motor vehicle in the prior art.

The moments M are plotted on the ordinate and the brake pedal pressure B on the abscissa. In the crawling mode, a constant creeping torque is applied in the desired direction of travel by a crawling device (dashed line). When the brake pedal is actuated by the driver of the motor vehicle, the amount of braking torque 10 (solid line) increases with increasing brake pedal pressure B and acts counter to the desired direction of travel (negative sign) in order to decelerate the vehicle. The creep torque 2 is applied against the braking torque 10 . This results in increased brake and clutch wear and increased fuel consumption. The resulting torque 3 (chain line) for the propulsion of the motor vehicle results from the superimposition of creep torque 2 and opposing braking torque 10 . In a creep area 11 (hatched), the resulting torque 3 decreases from an initial value M 0 until it reaches the value zero at braking point 12 . Only when the braking torque 10 exceeds the braking point 12 is the motor vehicle moving in the desired direction of travel decelerated, since the resulting torque 3 then assumes a negative value. A standing motor vehicle stops due to this negative resulting moment 3 (v = 0), while it starts in the creep area 11 due to the positive resulting moment 3 .

To avoid the disadvantages occurring in the prior art, the communicates Creep torque control in a preferred embodiment of the present Invention with the braking device of the motor vehicle. Preferably, the Creep torque setpoint depending on one by a driver of the Motor vehicle brake pedal pressure set, the creep torque setpoint at increasing brake pedal pressure is reduced.

FIG. 4 shows the moments which, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, act on a motor vehicle in the creep mode when the brake is applied.

With increasing brake pedal pressure, the creep torque setpoint is reduced and a braking torque is only generated when the creep torque setpoint has dropped to zero. In the diagram in FIG. 4, the moments M are plotted on the Y axis and the brake pedal pressure B on the X axis. When the driver operates the vehicle brake in crawl mode, in this embodiment of the method according to the invention, as in the prior art, the resulting torque 3 is reduced from the initial value M 0 with increasing brake pedal pressure until it reaches the value zero. However, this is not achieved, as in the prior art ( FIG. 3), by superimposing a positive creeping torque with a negative braking torque, but rather by lowering the creeping torque value 7 at a constant braking torque 10 of zero, which only increases in amount when the creeping torque 7 at the braking point 12 has reached the value zero. The simultaneous opposite effect of clutch and brake is therefore avoided. This influencing of the braking torque is in turn made possible by power brake systems with non-reactive decoupling of the driver from the wheel brakes (brake-by-wire). In the creep area 11 (hatched) only the creep torque 7 acts and from the braking point 12 only the braking torque 10 . In a moving motor vehicle, this braking torque 10 has a decelerating effect. A stationary motor vehicle is kept at a speed of v = 0 by the braking torque 10 (ie not accelerated against the desired direction of travel).

The course of the creeping moment 7 and thus also the resulting moment 3 does not need to decrease linearly to zero, as shown in FIG Driving comfort is selected. When the brake pedal pressure is reduced, the diagram is run in the other direction (from right to left), so that the brake is released completely (braking torque = zero) as soon as the total torque creeps in the direction of travel (from braking point 12 ). Then it is possible to switch over to creep torque control, for example as a function of the gradient, as described above. In hybrid vehicles with an electric machine, the braking torque 10 , which acts from the braking point 12 , can also be applied by operating the electric machine as a generator, so that the kinetic energy of the vehicle can be recovered into electrical energy.

Another embodiment of the present invention (not shown) is also conceivable, in which the creep torque 3 is steadily reduced to zero from a certain brake pedal pressure value with increasing brake pedal pressure.

FIG. 5 shows the moments which, according to a wide embodiment of the present invention, act on a motor vehicle in creep mode when the vehicle is stationary (v = 0) and when the brake is applied.

In this embodiment of the present invention, the creep torque setpoint is set to zero when a defined brake pedal pressure value is exceeded. In the diagram in FIG. 5, the moments M (Y-axis) are shown as a function of the brake pedal pressure B (X-axis). When the driver presses the brake pedal in crawl mode, the amount of negative braking torque 10 increases. The resulting resulting torque 3 drops in the creep region 11 from the difference between the creep torque 2 and the braking torque 10 . When the resulting torque 3 is reached with the value zero at braking point 12 , the creep torque setpoint is set to zero, so that from this brake pedal pressure B alone braking torque 10 is applied. In the stationary motor vehicle, it follows that the motor vehicle is accelerated at a brake pedal pressure value B less than the value at the braking point 12 (in the creep area 11 ) by a resulting torque 3 reduced by the braking torque 10 . At a brake pedal pressure value B that is above the value at braking point 12 , creep torque 3 no longer acts and the vehicle stops (applying braking torque 10 ) (v = 0). This embodiment of the method according to the invention is used, for example, if an active influence on the brake, as in the brake-by-wire system, is not possible, for example in the case of standard hydraulic brakes.

Fig. 6 shows the creep rate as a function of the distance of a motor vehicle to an obstacle in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

The creep speed v is on the Y axis and the distance d is on the X axis applied to an obstacle. The distance d is determined with the help of sensors.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the distance determined by sensors of a parking system (e.g. ultrasonic sensors). For example the sensors send pulses (e.g. ultrasonic a frequency of approx. 40 kHz) and detect the time until the arrival of Obstacles reflected echo pulses. The distance from the vehicle to the closest one The obstacle arises from the transit time of the echo pulse arriving first. Specific adapted mounting brackets fix the sensors at the respective positions, for example inside the bumper of the motor vehicle.

In a further preferred embodiment of the present invention, the Distance by a radar sensor, part of an adaptive cruise control (ACC) is determined. The radar sensor works, for example, with one for ACC approved frequency from 76 to 77 GHz. For the measurement, three beams are used simultaneously emitted. The rays reflected from vehicles in front are related Analysis of transit time, Doppler shift and amplitude ratio and the resulting distance, Relative speed and angular position calculated.

The course 13 of the creep speed v (chain line) shown in FIG. 6 has the advantage that the speed v decreases when the distance d to an obstacle becomes smaller. Consequently, if a motor vehicle in crawl mode moves towards an obstacle (for example another motor vehicle), its crawling speed is automatically reduced from a minimum distance d min by a targeted control of the crawling torque as a function of the distance d. Both a reverse torque and a braking torque can be used to decelerate the motor vehicle. The creeping speed curve 13 has the advantage that collisions with obstacles are avoided or the consequences of a collision are minimized by the targeted speed reduction.

Fig. 7, the acceleration performance and the Kriechendgeschwindigkeit depending on the driving type according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

In this preferred embodiment of the present invention, the Creep torque setpoint is set depending on a current driver type. Preferably is a maximum creep speed and a Acceleration behavior of the motor vehicle from a standing position depending on the driver type Creep torque setpoint set. Procedures for determining the driver type are in place known in the art. The driver type rating includes, for example, various Evaluation functions, such as the longitudinal acceleration evaluation, the Lateral acceleration evaluation, the starting evaluation or the kick-down evaluation. Based on These evaluation functions determine whether the current driver, for example, tends to be a sporty or more comfortable driving behavior preferred.

The diagram in FIG. 7 shows the creep speed v as a function of the time t. For two possible driver types (sporty driving behavior 14 and comfortable driving behavior 15 ) two different courses of the creep speed v are defined. These differ on the one hand in the acceleration behavior of the motor vehicle until the final creep speed v max is reached and on the other hand in the value of the respective final creep speed v max . The curve 15 of the creep speed for comfortable driving behavior shows a slow increase in the creep speed at time t = 0 from the time the brake pedal is released when the vehicle is stationary, which reaches its maximum at time t 2 and the final creep speed v max1 maintained thereafter. The course 14 of the creep speed v for sporty driving behavior increases more than the course 15 for comfortable driving behavior from t = 0 (stationary motor vehicle) and already reaches the final creep speed v max2 at time t 1 . The sporty driver type consequently experiences a stronger acceleration of the motor vehicle to a higher final creeping speed v max2 in the crawl mode , which he already reaches at an earlier point in time t 1 (course 14 ). In the case of the comfortable driver type, the acceleration is "gentler" and it ends with a lower creeping speed v max1, possibly at a later point in time t 2 (curve 15 ). Any course between these two "extreme" driving behavior is possible depending on the driver type. Accordingly, the driving behavior of the motor vehicle in creep mode is adapted to the other driving behavior of the driver. The speed profiles can be run through not only after releasing the brake of a stationary vehicle (here t = 0), but also from any initial speed that is lower than the creeping end speed (here accordingly from a time t> 0).
