Die Fußstützen in dem orthopädischen Schuhwerk gemäß der Erfindung nehmen nur geringen Raum in Anspruch, so daß das Schuhwerk so flach wie normale Schuhe gebaut werden kann. Soll der Hohlraum für die Gummiblase jedoch besonders hoch sein, so kann dies ohne weiteres, z. B. durch Anordnung eines Rahmenstreifens od. dgl. zwischen dem Schaftzwickrand und der Laufsohle, wodurch der Abstand zwischen letzterer und der Brandsohle vergrößert wird, erreicht werden. Durch Ablassen des Druckmittels läßt sich eine völlig ebene Sohle herstellen, wodurch das An- und Ausziehen des Schuhwerkes erleichtert werden kann. Das Aufblasen der Fußstütze geschieht in diesem Falle erst, nachdem der Fuß in den Schuh geschlüpft ist.
