In motor vehicles with respective sunroofs, wind deflectors, for example pneumatic wind deflectors, are used to avoid noise when the sunroof is open. These are extended, made available or folded down by a complex mechanism. The shape and mechanics differ depending on the original equipment manufacturer.

The object of the invention is to provide an air guiding device for a sunroof with a particularly simple mechanism.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by an air guiding device and by a method for operating the air guiding device with the features of the independent patent claims. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent patent claims and the description.
The invention relates to an air guiding device for a sliding roof of a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger car. The air guiding device serves in particular to avoid noise when the sunroof is in the open state. The air guiding device can be adjusted from a rest position, in which at least one inflatable air element is blown out or resting emptied, into a use position, in which the air element is inflated. In the use position, the air element can be used to deflect air, wind or an air flow when the passenger car is being driven or to at least partially avoid or redirect the resulting noise and/or far-reaching noises, in order to increase the comfort for an occupant within the interior of the motor vehicle to increase.
In order to be able to implement a particularly simple mechanism, it is provided according to the invention that the at least one air element is designed as a spoiler element. It is thus possible to favorably influence aerodynamic conditions by means of the air element and thus direct the air or an air flow away from an opening in the sunroof. The spoiler element is also at least partially rotatable about its own axis and relative to the sunroof. In other words, the spoiler element extends essentially over a width of the opening of the sunroof that extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle. The spoiler element can be rotated around its own axis at least partially forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. This has the effect that a volume of the spoiler element is increased relative to a volume in the rest position and the air flow is thus directed away from the opening of the sunroof. After using the air element in the use position, the volume can be reduced again, whereby the rest position can be reached again. In other words, the air guiding device or the wind deflector realized thereby is implemented by an at least partially pneumatic system. When the sunroof is opened, the spoiler element is filled with air, ie inflated, so that it protrudes beyond a roof paneling. Alternatively, the spoiler element can be moved up in the vertical direction of the vehicle and then inflated. As a result, the spoiler element meets relevant vehicle requirements and can be formed in different vehicle-specific contours.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the air element has at least one band, in particular an elastic rubber band, on the inside for adjustment from the use position to the rest position. The at least one strap is tensioned by the air introduced into the air element, with the elastic shape of the strap allowing the spoiler element to be adjusted back into the rest position as soon as the air is guided out of the air element again.
In other advantageous configurations of the invention, provision is made for a multiplicity of air elements to be designed as the spoiler element. In particular, this means that it is possible to construct the spoiler element in segments, as a result of which the contour and shape of the spoiler element can be changed. For example, it is possible to form flattening lateral contours with flatter lateral segments in order to impair the aerodynamics as little as possible.
Also advantageous is an embodiment of the invention in which the respective air elements are independently inflatable. The focus here is that the respective air elements have a respective access to the air to be introduced, as a result of which the width of the spoiler element in particular can be adjusted. It is thus also possible to use different, for example preset, useful positions.
Finally, a further embodiment of the invention is advantageous in that the adjustment of the air guiding device can be operated at least partially autonomously. Here it is possible, for example by means of a driver assistance system, when opening the sunroof to adjust the air guiding device directly into a predetermined use position. In particular, it is possible to provide a presetting of the plurality of air elements of the spoiler element by means of a driver assistance system, with the spoiler element being adaptable to a speed of the motor vehicle, for example.
Another aspect of the invention relates to a method for guiding air by means of an air guiding device for a sunroof of a motor vehicle, in which at least one inflatable air element designed as a spoiler element is inflated and thus at least partially rotated about its own axis and relative to the sunroof.
