Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a plastic container and in particular a plastic bottle which is suitable for receiving flowable and in particular liquid media and in particular beverages.

Such plastic bottles have long been known from the prior art.

Such beverage containers have to meet different requirements. For example, it is sometimes necessary for such containers to be able to absorb relatively high forces in the vertical or in their longitudinal direction in order, for example, to ensure that the containers can be stacked. In addition, such containers should also have a satisfactory level of stability on a surface, for example a floor or table.

In addition, such containers should in some cases also be pressure-resistant, especially if the containers are used to hold carbonated liquids.

The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing such a particularly pressure-resistant container. According to the invention, these objects are achieved by the subjects of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments and developments are the subject of the dependent claims.

A plastic container according to the invention for receiving media and in particular liquids has a base section, a base body adjoining the base section and extending in a longitudinal direction of the plastic container, and a mouth section, the mouth section having a closable opening and the base body having a plurality of in a circumferential direction of the plastic container has at least partially and preferably completely circumferential grooves, these grooves being arranged one above the other in the longitudinal direction of the plastic container.

Furthermore, these grooves have a first section with a first groove depth and a second section with a second groove depth, the first groove depth and the second groove depth differing from one another and the second sections of at least two grooves being arranged one above the other in the longitudinal direction of the container, in particular to form at least one series of second sections.

According to the invention, the base is a petaloid base with preferably at least three and preferably at least four feet and at least one base is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the container below the at least one row of second sections.

This petaloid base preferably also has drawstrings. These tension bands are particularly preferably each located between two feet and particularly preferably these tension bands each extend between two feet.

These drawstrings particularly preferably do not extend into an upper region of the container, but rather end in the bottom section or just above it.

These drawstrings preferably extend in a radial direction of the plastic container and / or of the bottom section of the plastic container. In a further preferred embodiment, the number of these tension straps corresponds to the number of feet. In a further preferred embodiment, the said tension straps are each essentially in the middle between two feet and preferably exactly in the middle between two feet and in particular those feet which are adjacent to the tension straps.

The groove depth is understood to mean, in particular, a distance between the groove base and the imaginary wall when there is no groove.

It is thus proposed here that the grooves differ in particular in their groove depth. As an alternative or in addition, however, it would also be possible for the grooves to differ in terms of their cross section when viewed in the circumferential direction of the container. The grooves preferably extend into the interior of the plastic container.

The row of second sections described here, in particular a row which extends in a direction which is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the container, creates a so-called pull strap in the base body or bottle body. This row of the second sections counteracts any increase in height (for example due to changed pressure conditions inside the container).

This drawstring preferably extends along the wall of the plastic container and in particular along the wall of the base body of the plastic container. Preferably, however, this drawstring does not begin until above the bottom section (when the container is standing vertically with the mouth pointing upwards). This drawstring preferably also ends below the mouth section. The drawstring preferably extends along the Container wall of the entire container, but above a bottom section.

The plastic container preferably has at least one drawstring in the base section and also in the wall of the base body. However, these drawstrings preferably do not or not seamlessly merge into one another and are separate from one another. The drawstrings of the bottom section and the drawstring of the base body can also be offset with respect to one another in a circumferential direction of the container. A tension band within the base section is preferably offset by a circumferential angle with respect to the tension band in the base body, which results in 180 ° / (number of feet) (i.e. half the angular distance between two feet).

These second sections thus preferably form a (geometrical) column which extends in a direction which is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the container. This column is arranged in the longitudinal direction above one of the feet of the plastic container.

At least the second sections are therefore preferably arranged in the same angular range in each case in a circumferential direction of the container.

The plastic is preferably a thermoplastic material such as, in particular, but not exclusively, PET. The container is preferably a blow-molded container. In a further preferred embodiment, the base section is circular.

It is also possible that one of the two groove depths is zero or that there are no grooves in this area. It would also be possible that instead of grooves in the second sections there are even projections, that is to say grooves which extend outward.

The first section or sections advantageously have a groove depth which is greater than 0.1 mm, preferably greater than 0.2 mm, preferably greater than 0.4 mm and particularly preferably greater than 0.5 mm.

The first section or sections preferably have a groove depth which is less than 10 mm, preferably less than 8 mm, preferably less than 6 mm and particularly preferably less than 5 mm.

In a further preferred embodiment, the second section or sections have a groove depth that is greater than 0.05 mm, preferably greater than 0.1 mm.

The second section or sections preferably have a groove depth that is less than 1.0 mm, preferably less than 0.8 mm and particularly preferably less than 0.5 mm.

In a preferred embodiment, the groove depth of a first section merges in a stepped manner into the groove depth of a second section. In a further preferred embodiment, the groove depth in a first section merges continuously into the groove depth in a second section. Furthermore, it is conceivable that these grooves have exactly one first section and exactly one second section.

However, it would also be possible for several first and / or several second sections to be provided. In this way, it is also possible for several so-called drawstrings to be created in the longitudinal direction of the container. This one drawstring or these several drawstrings preferably extend in the longitudinal direction of the plastic container.

The drawstrings, which are formed by the row of second sections, also preferably differ from the drawstrings in the bottom section in that they are arranged offset to one another and do not continuously merge into one another in their longitudinal extension.

In a further preferred embodiment, the grooves have a substantially constant cross section in the circumferential direction of the container, at least in the first section and also in the second section.

The grooves preferably have an essentially constant depth in the circumferential direction of the container, at least in the first section and also in the second section.

In a further advantageous embodiment, the mouth section of the container has a shoulder area in which the base body tapers towards the mouth. Particularly preferably, no grooves are provided in this shoulder area.

The mouth particularly preferably has an external thread in order to screw a closure onto it. In a further preferred embodiment, at least two grooves and preferably several grooves and particularly preferably all grooves run in a plane which is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the plastic container. This means that a plane formed by the respective grooves is essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the container.

In a further advantageous embodiment is between the series of second Sections and / or at least one second section of a groove and the at least one base at least one further groove with first and second sections is provided, with at least a first section of the further groove and the at least one row of second sections forming an alignment in the vertical direction.

It is thus possible in particular for a second section of a further groove to adjoin a first section of a groove in the longitudinal direction of the container. A second section of a groove, for example a penultimate groove in the longitudinal direction of the container in the direction of the bottom section, is preferably followed by a first section of a further or lowermost groove.

It is preferably conceivable that at least one groove has a second section which is arranged in a different position in the circumferential direction of the container than a second section of the above-mentioned first grooves. This can in particular be the groove which is closest to the bottom section.

The above-described column formed by the grooves is thus interrupted. Furthermore, it is also conceivable that said groove has a second section, but, as mentioned above, this is offset in the circumferential direction with respect to the second section of a further groove.

In a further advantageous embodiment, the further groove, which is arranged between the base and the at least one row of second sections, has at least two, preferably three, second sections. It is possible that these second sections are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction.

In a further preferred embodiment, the second groove depth is less than the first groove depth. The second groove depth is particularly preferably less than 80% of the first groove depth, preferably less than 70% of the first groove depth, particularly preferably less than 60% of the first groove depth, particularly preferably less than 50% of the first groove depth, particularly preferably less than 40% of the first groove depth and particularly preferably less than 30% of the first groove depth.

In a further advantageous embodiment, at least four, preferably at least six and particularly preferably at least eight grooves are provided in the base body.

In a further advantageous embodiment, the second sections of a plurality of grooves, which have first and second sections, are arranged one above the other. The second sections of all grooves with the exception of a lowermost groove, which have first and second sections, are particularly preferably arranged one above the other.

Particularly preferably, these multiple grooves or the second sections of these grooves form a column which particularly preferably extends in the direction of the bottle mouth and which particularly preferably extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of the container.

In a further advantageous embodiment, at least one groove has a cross-sectional profile which is composed of at least two different curved regions. For example, a second curved area could adjoin the first curved area, these areas having different radii of curvature. In addition, however, differently curved areas also mean that individual areas can run in a straight line here or can have an infinite radius of curvature. It would also be possible for two straight sections to adjoin one another directly and to be inclined with respect to one another.

It is particularly preferred that several and preferably all of the grooves each have a cross-sectional profile which is composed of at least two differently curved regions.

In a further advantageous embodiment, at least one groove has a trapezoidal profile.

This trapezoidal profile is determined in a circumferential direction or in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction of the container.

In a further advantageous embodiment, tension straps are provided between the above-mentioned feet of the floor. These drawstrings preferably have the same function as drawstrings in the base body or in the bottle body. However, these drawstrings are preferably not extended from the bottom section into the base body of the container, but new drawstrings are preferably present in the base body or in the body of the container, which arise above those located on the feet. Particularly preferably, the feet end in an area of the outer circumference of the container and the above-mentioned second sections of the grooves (or the geometric column thus formed) adjoin these end sections of the feet in the vertical or longitudinal direction.

In a further preferred embodiment, at least one stand is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the container below the second sections and in particular exactly or vertically below the second sections. This is considered in terms of a vertical or vertical container.

An extension of the second sections in the circumferential direction is preferably less than the extension of the base, which is located below these second sections. The extension of the second sections in the circumferential direction of the container is preferably less than 90%, preferably less than 80%, preferably less than 70% of the extension of the base, which is located below the second sections (when the container is upright).

The present invention is further directed to a blow mold for producing a plastic container, the blow mold being suitable and intended for producing a plastic container of the type described above. The plastic container is advantageously made from a heated plastic preform.

The blow mold is particularly preferably constructed in several parts and at least two parts, and preferably at least three parts, and preferably has a bottom segment and two side segments.

The blow mold particularly preferably has an inner wall which is designed for producing the plastic container. This blow mold can preferably have projections on its inner wall for creating the grooves.

In this case, these projections can have different heights in a circumferential direction of the inner wall of the blow mold in order to emboss the above-mentioned first and second sections.
