  • Packaging systems are indispensable components of all areas of life. For example, they are gaining in importance in the shipment of goods, be it private or business. Also in the industrial manufacturing of goods and on construction sites packaging systems are extremely important in order to protect objects from external influences, to transport them from one place to another or to store items so that they are not visible to third parties.
  • The packages used in the various fields are either designed specifically for their intended purpose, specifically in size and other nature, or the packages can be used universally for many different applications. The present invention is particularly concerned with packaging modules and packaging systems that can be used universally, resulting in a wide variety of applications.
  • The invention has for its object to provide a packaging module, packaging systems, their uses and a modular system, a universal applicability, good handling and safe storage of the packaged items are in the foreground.
  • This object is achieved on the basis of the above-mentioned packaging module in that the packaging module has at least partially at least one, preferably at least two and more preferably at least three of the following properties:
    • - water repellent,
    • - waterproof,
    • - saltwater resistant,
    • - breathable,
    • - a relative elasticity of at least 10%.
  • The water-repellent property of the packaging module ensures that the packaging module itself does not absorb any water and therefore does not store any water. The packaging module remains so dry in use, so that no moisture storage arise, especially not in an area in which the packaging module is in contact with a packaged object. This prevents moisture damage to the packaged items. As a result of the fact that the packaging module is, in particular, also watertight and thus preferably bears a water column of 800 mm or more without allowing any moisture to penetrate, the wrapped article is virtually completely protected against moisture. Of particular advantage in connection with the behavior of the packaging module with respect to water, even if at least some of the components of the packaging module are salt water resistant. This is particularly useful when the packaging module is to be used at seaports or on ships. If the packaging module is also breathable, moisture can pass through a water-tight membrane in the form of water vapor. Thus, depending on the temperature gradients present in the region of the membrane, moist articles which have been packaged can dry, even though they are packaged using the packaging module. This applies in particular when the outside of the packaging has a lower temperature than in the packaging. Due to the relative elasticity of the packaging module of at least 10%, several advantages arise. On the one hand, a packaging with one or more packaging modules according to the invention can be tightly stretched around objects. As a result, the objects are well fixed, especially during transport. In addition, the tension of the packaging prevents, for example, water puddles from forming on the packaging, which further reduces the probability of water penetration. The relative stretchability of at least 10% also offers the advantage that the universality of the applicability of the packaging module is further increased, because the packaging module is thus variable in size, so that different volumes can be enclosed using the same packaging modules, yet a tight shape of the packaging module is maintained. The extensibility of the packaging module may be in any weight on the various Distribute components of the packaging module. It is preferred that the condition of the tarpaulin causes most of the ductility. However, the closure systems and interconnect systems can also contribute to extensibility.   • With regard to the choice of material for the packaging module, it is preferred that the tarpaulin comprises a material containing polyurethane (PU) and / or polyamide (PA) and / or a fiber-based woven and / or non-woven textile. So it can be used industrially manufactured plastic tarpaulins. It is also possible that textiles are used if this offers advantages for special applications, for example with regard to optics and feel. The advantageous elasticity or extensibility of the packaging module can sometimes be provided by the materials already mentioned, in particular by textiles due to their production, especially due to their weave.
  • It is particularly useful, however, that the tarpaulin contains elastane (EL). Elastane is a long-known material which, by incorporation into other materials, gives the finished product exceptional extensibility.
  • With regard to the specific composition of the packaging module, it is preferred that the tarpaulin each have at least 30% PA, 4% PU and 1% EL, preferably at least 40% PA, 6% PU and 1.5% EK and more preferably at least 50% each % PA, 8% PU and 2% EL.
  • The invention is formed in a particularly advantageous manner in that the closure system has at least one magnetic closure and / or at least one clip closure and / or at least one hook and loop fastener and / or at least one zipper and / or at least one slide closure. Magnetic closures are particularly advantageous in handling, as they add themselves practically together automatically. This also applies in some ways to hook-and-loop fasteners. Zippers and clamp closures can be designed very robust, so that high forces can be absorbed by them. If one thinks in particular of the advantageous extensibility of the packaging module, it becomes clear that even without any external influence on the packaging module, high forces can act on the closure system. Also sliding closures can absorb high forces. Such are known, for example, for closing plastic bags, as used by passengers for the storage of drugstores in aircraft cabins.
  • It is further advantageous that the tarpaulin and / or the closure system and / or the connection system have features which form or form part of a connection interface. The individual components of the packaging module are thus equipped from the outset so that they can be firmly connected to the other components via a connection point. This concerns the production of the packaging modules.
  • It can be provided that the features include splices and / or stapling points and / or welds and / or joints.
  • Furthermore, it is particularly useful that the connection system has at least one sealing element. While the tarpaulin alone may have a sealing effect by virtue of its basic nature, additional measures may have to be taken in the area of the connection system and / or the closure system.   • Further special features of a packaging can be achieved in that the packaging module has various types of closure systems. If a packaging module has different closure systems, it can only be coupled with other packaging modules in a certain way. For example, a row of teeth of a zipper can not be coupled to a Velcro or a slide closure, but only with the matching teeth of another zipper. Claims (18)

  1.
