  • The invention relates to a terminal for controlling a agricultural machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • The increasing complexity of agricultural machinery requires an ever greater depth of detail of setting parameters of these machines. In order to perform a processing with the respective machine, therefore, an increasingly large number of parameters for the particular machine used must be adjustable and a corresponding wealth of information can be displayed. For such purposes, the use of so-called terminals for the control of agricultural machinery has prevailed. These terminals allow the user to set the desired parameters of the agricultural machine and display the particular information desired.
  • Such terminals are typically located in the cab of a tractor to which the agricultural machine is coupled or a self-propelled agricultural machine. Due to the large number of controls in the cab of the tractor, the available space is often very limited, so that the size of such terminals is limited. For this reason, agricultural terminals often have touch sensitive screens with built-in controls so that the available display area can be maximized. In some cases touch-sensitive screens are also combined in the terminals with physical buttons and buttons, which offer the advantage of haptic feedback of a switching event.

The menu interface of the terminal allows the setting of various parameters and the display of far-reaching information of the work process. For example, machine parameters can be displayed and read out. It is also planned to display the machine on the machined surface in a map view. The multitude of adjustable parameters, displayable functions and selectable menus, however, leads to increasingly complicated menu navigation in the increasingly complex agricultural machinery.   • Object of the present invention is to provide an agricultural terminal, which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art.
  • This object is solved by the characterizing part of claim 1. Accordingly, at least after the terminal has been turned on, it first displays a selection menu which represents at least two submenus as icons for selection by means of touch, the at least two submenus each offering at least one of the following functions:

    • - Setting of machine parameters
    • - Setting of terminal parameters
    • - Setting parameters of a connected control element
  • Thus, after switching on the terminal, a selection menu is displayed by means of which the most important submenus can be selected quickly and easily. This makes it possible to quickly select the desired submenu in a time-saving manner. In contrast, after the start of terminals of the prior art, a preselected submenu is displayed and from this awkward must be selected on the selection of controls other submenus.   • In an advantageous development of the invention, the symbols on the screen of the terminal can be moved sideways in the menu by a touching wiping movement.
