Bremsschläuche werden in Bremsanlagen von Kraftfahrzeugen eingesetzt, um über das Bremspedal eine statische Bremsflüssigkeitssäule zu erzeugen, die den Druck verlustfrei auf die Radbremszylinder weiterleiten soll. Die Weitergabe der aufgewendeten Fußkraft erfolgt in den Bremsschläuchen bzw. Bremsleitungen reibungslos und verlustfrei. Bei der Überbrückung vom Fahrzeugboden zu den Rädern, d.h. den Bremszylindern, sind flexible Übergänge nötig, um einen Ausgleich zwischen Ein- und Ausfedern zu schaffen.
