Description

  • The invention relates to a camera for a motor vehicle having a housing, which has a first holding device with a first holding element and a second holding element, and with a first printed circuit board which is arranged on the first holding element of the first holding device such that the first printed circuit board of the first holding element is held in a first direction. The invention also relates to a driver assistance system with a camera and to a motor vehicle having a driver assistance system.
  • A camera or a plurality of cameras may be mounted in, for example, a motor vehicle to detect a surrounding area of the motor vehicle. The data captured by the cameras can be provided, for example, to a driver assistance system which can assist a driver in driving the motor vehicle.
  • To capture the image data, the camera usually has a lens and an image sensor. The image sensor can be arranged on a printed circuit board, which can be provided in a housing of the camera. For data processing and data storage, the circuit board can be equipped with other electronic components, such as memory elements, integrated circuits (ICs) or processors.
  • Cameras, which are arranged on motor vehicles, may be subject to shocks or mechanical shocks which may occur, for example, during the drive of the motor vehicle. As a result, the circuit board can move in the housing, which can lead to damage and / or destruction of the electronic components and thus to a defect in the camera. In order to avoid damage and / or destruction of the electronic components on the circuit board, measures are known from the prior art. By means of these measures, the printed circuit board can be fastened, for example, in the housing. Thus, it may be provided that the circuit board is fastened with screws to the housing, so that the circuit board can not move in vibrations in the camera body. By screwing the circuit boards with the housing additional material in the form of screws is needed. In addition, the screws have a high space requirement on the circuit board, which reduces the space for the electronic components adversely.
  • Also, the circuit board may be disposed in an additional housing to protect the sensitive electronic components in any movement of the circuit board due to mechanical shocks. This additional assembly costs increase the process time and thus the process costs for the production of the camera.
  • The EP 0 678 830 A1 describes a circuit board with spring-loaded ground terminals, which also serve to dampen mechanical shocks. However, these ground terminals have a high space requirement on the board.
  • It is an object of the present invention to provide a stable and cost-effective camera in which the electronic components of the camera can be protected in a particularly reliable manner.
  • This object is achieved by a camera, a driver assistance system and a motor vehicle with the features according to the respective independent claims. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims, the description and the figures.
  • The camera according to the invention can be arranged in a motor vehicle. The camera comprises a housing, which has a first holding device with a first holding element and a second holding element, and a first printed circuit board which is arranged on the first holding element of the first holding device such that the first printed circuit board from the first holding element of the first holding device in a first direction is held. The first holding device has a first elastic element which is arranged between the first printed circuit board and the second holding element of the first holding device, wherein the first elastic element holds the first printed circuit board in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
  • The housing of the camera may have a bottom surface, a top surface and a lateral surface. In the housing, the first circuit board may be spaced above the lens of the camera in the first direction. The lens of the camera can be integrated in a bottom surface of the camera. The circuit board can be equipped with one or a plurality of electronic components, which can serve for example for image data acquisition, image data processing or image data storage.
  • Within the housing of the camera, in particular on an inner side of the lateral surface, the first holding device is provided. In this case, the first circuit board is held or supported by the first holding element of the first holding device in the first direction. The first direction is called the Defines direction of a vector, which points from the bottom surface to the top surface. The first holding element may, for example, comprise a bearing surface which is provided on the inside of the lateral surface of the housing and on which the first printed circuit board can be arranged. The bearing surface may be designed, for example, as a step in the lateral surface. In particular, the step can be designed in such a way that the first printed circuit board can be arranged parallel to the bottom surface. The step can be arranged partially in the lateral surface or extending along a length of the lateral surface. By means of the first holding element can thus be prevented that the circuit board can move to the bottom surface.
  • The second holding element may be arranged in the first direction over the first holding element. The first holding element and the second holding element can be designed, for example, as the inner surfaces of a groove-like depression in the lateral surface of the housing. In order to hold the first printed circuit board in the second direction, it is provided according to the invention that the first elastic element is arranged between the first printed circuit board and the second holding element. The second direction is defined as the direction of a vector pointing from the top surface to the bottom surface. The second direction is thus opposite to the first direction.
  • Preferably, the first elastic element in an intended installation position between the first circuit board and the second support member is elastically and / or plastically deformed. The first elastic element may be designed as a dimensionally stable, but elastically deformable material. In this case, the first elastic element is arranged between the first printed circuit board and the second holding element such that the first printed circuit board and / or the second holding element exert a pressure on the first elastic element and deform it elastically and / or plastically. In this case, the first printed circuit board is clamped between the first holding element and the first elastic element such that the first printed circuit board can be prevented from moving within the housing. Thus, the camera is designed to be particularly reliable, since the electronic components are protected from destruction or damage by movement of the first circuit board.
  • Preferably, the first elastic element comprises silicone. The first elastic element may for example be made at least partially of silicone. Silicone is an elastomer. Elastomers are dimensionally stable, but elastically deformable plastics. Such elastic elements made of silicone can be made particularly simple. They have a low weight and are thus particularly well suited for cameras which are to be used in motor vehicles.
  • In an advantageous embodiment, each of the elastic elements is cuboidal. As a result, the first elastic element can be arranged in a particularly space-saving manner, for example, on an edge of the first printed circuit board. In addition, a cuboid elastic element can be easily and inexpensively manufactured.
  • Advantageously, the first elastic element on a solderable coating, wherein the first circuit board is connected via a solder connection with the solderable coating. Such a solderable coating may be, for example, a coating comprising lead and / or a tin. By means of the solderable coating, the first elastic element can be soldered onto the printed circuit board. Thus, a cohesive and an electrical connection between the first circuit board and the first elastic element can be realized. This makes the camera particularly robust.
  • The first elastic element preferably has an electrically conductive coating, by means of which the first printed circuit board is electrically connected to a reference potential of the housing. The reference potential may be, for example, a ground potential. The first elastic element can therefore also be used in addition to grounding the first printed circuit board. Due to the many possible uses of the first elastic element, the camera is electromagnetically particularly compatible and insensitive to interference.
  • It proves to be advantageous if the electrically conductive coating comprises silver. Silver is a soft, easily deformable metal with a particularly high electrical conductivity and can thus be used particularly advantageously for an electrical connection of the first printed circuit board to the reference potential of the housing.
  • In a preferred embodiment, the camera has a second holding device with a first holding element and a second holding element and at least a third holding device with a first holding element and a second holding element, wherein the first circuit board on the first holding element of the second holding device and on the first holding element of at least one third holding device is arranged and held in the first direction, and wherein a second elastic holding element between the second holding element of the second holding device and the first circuit board is arranged and at least a third elastic element between the second holding element of the at least one third holding device and the first circuit board is arranged. The In each case first holding elements of the second holding device and the third holding device can be designed, for example, as further steps, which can be provided in the lateral surface. In this case, the first printed circuit board is arranged on the first holding element of the first holding device, on the first holding element of the second holding device and on the first holding element of the at least one third holding device such that it is held or stabilized in the first direction. In addition, the circuit board is held in the second direction via the first elastic member, the second elastic member, and the third elastic member. As a result, the camera is particularly stable against shocks and mechanical shocks.
  • It can be provided that the second holding element of the first holding device, the second holding element of the second holding device and the second holding element of the at least one third holding device are integrated in a cover surface of the housing. In this case, the respective second holding elements of the at least three holding devices can be designed, for example, as relief-like, exposed structures which are integrated into the top surface of the housing. In this case, the first printed circuit board can be arranged on the respective first holding elements of the at least three holding devices. On the first circuit board, the at least three elastic elements can be arranged. The top surface can close off the housing such that the respective second holding elements of the at least three holding devices exert a pressure on the at least three elastic elements. The circuit board is thus clamped between the at least three elastic elements and the respective first holding elements of the at least three holding devices.
  • Particularly preferably, the first elastic element, the second elastic element and the at least one third elastic element are arranged on the first printed circuit board in such a way that they form the vertices of a triangle. The elastic elements are arranged in particular in an edge region of the first printed circuit board. In particular, the second holding element of the first holding device, the second holding element of the second holding device and the second holding element of the at least one third holding device can be arranged on the top surface in such a way that they form the vertices of a triangle. The respective second holding elements of the at least three holding devices are arranged in particular in an edge region of the top surface. When closing the housing with the top surface, a pressure is exerted on the first elastic element by the second retaining element of the first retaining device, pressure is exerted on the second elastic element by the second retaining element of the second retaining device and on the second retaining element of the at least one third retaining device a pressure is exerted on the at least one third elastic element. Thus, the first circuit board can be stabilized particularly well in the housing of the camera. The arrangement of the at least three elastic elements as vertices of a triangle can in particular be prevented, for example, lifting one side of the first circuit board and / or that the first circuit board tilts in the housing.
  • In one embodiment, the camera has at least one second printed circuit board, which is mechanically connected to the housing and which is connected via a coupling element with the first printed circuit board. Here, the second circuit board may be disposed between the bottom surface and the first circuit board so that the bottom surface, the second circuit board, the first circuit board and the top surface are stacked in the first direction. In this case, the first printed circuit board and the second printed circuit board are arranged in particular parallel and spaced from one another. The first circuit board is mechanically connected to the housing interior, for example, by means of a screw connection. For data exchange and / or signal exchange between the first circuit board and the second circuit board, a coupling element is provided which connects the first circuit board and the second circuit board in particular electrically. The coupling element may for example be designed as a plug connection. By stacking several boards inside the camera body, the camera has a high integration density.
  • Preferably, the first circuit board has a first electrical connection element and the top surface of the housing has a second electrical connection element, wherein the first electrical connection element and the second electrical connection element are electrically connected to one another via at least one contacting element. The contacting element can be designed, for example, as a spring contact. The second electrical connection element may have a plug. Thus, data which has been detected, for example, by an image sensor and processed by a data processing device, can be led out of the camera body in a particularly simple manner. The data can for example be supplied to a bus system of the motor vehicle and be made available to a driver assistance system of the motor vehicle.
  • The invention also relates to a driver assistance system for a motor vehicle having at least one camera according to the invention.
  • A motor vehicle according to the invention comprises a driver assistance system according to the invention. The motor vehicle can be designed in particular as a passenger car.
  • The preferred embodiments presented with reference to the camera according to the invention and their advantages apply correspondingly to the driver assistance system according to the invention and to the method according to the invention.
  • Further features of the invention will become apparent from the claims, the figures and the description of the figures. All the features and feature combinations mentioned above in the description as well as the features and feature combinations mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or shown alone in the figures can be used not only in the respectively indicated combination but also in other combinations or alone.
