Abstract
Es wird ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe einer Kraftstoffeinspritzeinrichtung einer Brennkraftmaschine vorgeschlagen, wobei die Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe (16) wenigstens ein Pumpenelement (24) aufweist, wobei das Pumpenelement (24) einen in einer Hubbewegung angetriebenen Pumpenkolben (26) aufweist, der einen Pumpenarbeitsraum (46) begrenzt, der durch ein elektrisch gesteuertes Ventil (48) mit einem Zulauf oder einem Entlastungsbereich verbindbar ist, wobei die Kraftstoffeinspritzeinrichtung eine elektronische Steuereinrichtung (22) aufweist, durch die das Ventil (48) zur variablen Einstellung der Fördermenge und/oder des Förderzeitpunkts des wenigstens einen Pumpenelements (24) angesteuert wird. Bei zumindest annähernd konstanter Fördermengenanforderung der Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe (16) wird die Kraftstofffördermenge und/oder der Zeitpunkt der Kraftstoffförderung des wenigstens einen Pumpenelements (24) bei nacheinander folgenden Förderhüben des Pumpenkolbens (26) durch entsprechende Ansteuerung des Ventils (48) variiert. Die Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 6 und Anspruch 7 ermöglichen auf einfache Weise eine Variation der Kraftstofffördermenge. Das Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 8 ermöglicht auf einfache Weise eine Variation des Zeitpunkts der Kraftstoffförderung und gegebenenfalls der Kraftstofffördermenge. Das Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 9 ermöglicht eine genaue Einstellung geringer Kraftstofffördermengen der Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe, indem diese nicht auf alle Förderhübe verteilt wird sondern nur auf einzelne Förderhübe, bei denen dann pro Förderhub eine größere Kraftstoffmenge gefördert wird, die einfacher eingestellt werden kann als eine sehr geringe Kraftstofffördermenge.
