  • The invention relates to a value and security document, which consists of a substrate with a front side and a back side, wherein on at least one side of the substrate, a color layer is applied with magnetically oriented magnetic pigments. The color layer forms a first motif in the form of a pattern, a character or an encoding, wherein the first motif shows a first dynamic movement effect when tilting the value and security document. The first motif is combined with a second motif in the form of a pattern, a character or an encoding, wherein the second motif is applied to at least one side of the substrate. The invention further relates to a method for producing a corresponding value and security document.
  • A generic value and security document is for example from the EP 2608964 A2 known.
  • Securities and security documents, such as banknotes, valuables or ID documents, but also other valuables, such as branded goods, are often provided with security elements for the purpose of protection, which allow a verification of the authenticity of the data carrier and at the same time serve as protection against unauthorized reproduction. The security elements can be embodied, for example, in the form of a security thread embedded in a banknote, a covering film for a banknote with a hole, an applied security strip, a self-supporting transfer element or also in the form of a feature area applied directly to a value document.
  • A special role in the authenticity assurance play security elements, the viewing angle-dependent visual effects show, as they can not be reproduced even with the latest copiers. For some time, magnetically orientable effect pigments have been used for this purpose, which are magnetically aligned in the form of a motif to be displayed.
  • The invention has the object of developing a generic value and security document in such a way that the protection against counterfeiting is further increased.
  • This object is solved by the features of the independent claims. Further developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
  • According to the invention, the second motif is designed in the form of an embossed structure which has raised embossing elements with surfaces of different orientation. The embossing structure here consists of a reflective microstructure in the form of a mosaic of a multiplicity of reflecting mosaic elements, which are characterized by the parameters size, outline shape, relief shape, reflectivity and spatial orientation. The mosaic elements form the second motif with a second dynamic motion effect, in which different groups of mosaic elements with different characteristic parameters reflect incident light into different spatial areas. Furthermore, the mosaic elements have a lateral dimension of less than 30 μm and below the resolution limit of the eye.   • Such embossing structure is from the WO 2007 / 079851A1 which describes a combination of an achromatic reflection of electromagnetic radiation, in particular light, on micromirrors and a coloring interference structure arranged on the surface of these micromirrors (so-called "color shift").
  • By combining a first motif with a first dynamic motion effect and a second motif from an embossing structure with a second dynamic motion effect, the attention and recognition value and thus the security against counterfeiting of the value and security document are significantly increased. In addition, an optical security feature is provided by the second motif in the form of reflective microstructures, which also increases the security against counterfeiting of the value and security document, since the microstructures can only be analyzed by a counterfeiter or imitator with great technical effort and therefore are virtually non-imitable.
  • It is thus a particular advantage of the invention that a greater context results from a logical combination of two individual effects, namely the magnetic pigments and the micromirrors, which sets both individual effects in a context that is easier to grasp and thus easier to authenticate. The interplay of both individual effects is formed by a meaningfulness that is only possible through their special combination and thus provides an additional means of authentication.
  • An object in the sense of this invention is, for example, a letter or text, a numeral or number, a motif, a portrait, a combination of the aforementioned objects or any geometric or graphic image, such as a star or a wheel.
  • For the purposes of this invention, the at least partial adaptation of an image to another image or the pattern, the character or the coding of the first motif to the pattern, the character or the coding of the second motif means, for example

  • An at least partial adaptation is not present, in particular, when different images, patterns, characters or codes show only similar tilting or motion effects, but otherwise no further relationship exists between these images, patterns, characters or codes. For example, if the value and security document is skewed, both images or patterns simultaneously display a linearly moving or spirally rotating bar, but both images or patterns represent a different graphic image.   • According to the invention, a logical connection between the two motifs must therefore result for a viewer, which goes beyond mere juxtaposition or juxtaposition of individual motifs. However, since both motifs are generated by different methods, this represents a greater hurdle for a counterfeiter or imitator to falsify or imitate the value and security document according to the invention than if both motifs were produced using the same method.   • According to the invention, the second motif is applied to at least one side of the substrate. The second motif can be arranged directly or directly on the surface of the substrate or indirectly or indirectly, in which case the second motif is arranged on a further substrate. Claims (9)

  1.
