Description
The invention relates to a method for controlling a charging device for electrical energy stores and a charging device that is set up to be operated with such a method.
- - Überprüfung, ob ein Fahrzeug ordnungsgemäß angeschlossen ist;
- - ständige Überwachung der Durchgängigkeit eines Schutzleiters;
- - ein Einschalten des Systems; sowie
- - ein Ausschalten des Systems.
- - Check whether a vehicle is properly connected;
- - constant monitoring of the continuity of a protective conductor;
- - switching on the system; such as
- - switching off the system.
A pulse width modulated signal (PWM signal) is used for the control, which ensures the communication of the electrical memory of the vehicle with the power supply device. In addition, the loading device can perform other functions, such as. B. the selection of the charging current; a determination of the ventilation requirement in the charging area and / or the detection or setting of the currently available load current of the power supply device. Communication between the power supply device, the charging device and the electrical energy store of the electric vehicle takes place by means of a pulse width modulated signal (PWM signal) whose basic frequency is 1 kHz and is transmitted via a pilot conductor. The voltage values of this signal range between +12 V and -12 V. Different voltage values of the "positive" portion of a pulse of the pulse-width-modulated signal determine the individual charge states that exist between the electrical energy storage device of the electrical vehicle and the power supply device. The positive signal components of the pulse of the pulse-width-modulated signal range between +12 V and 0 V. A voltage value of the "negative" signal component or pulse must always be -12 V during error-free communication between the electrical energy store and the power supply device. If the negative part of the PWM signal is missing, the connection is interrupted.
Both the positive component and the negative component of the PWM signal must be recognized and evaluated accordingly promptly and safely by the charging device (EVSE). Accordingly, the positive or negative part of a pulse of the pulse-width modulated signal is evaluated immediately and as long as it is still "active". To ensure this, the evaluation must be carried out at the beginning of the positive pulse, especially with "small" pulse widths. Such an evaluation is prone to errors, however, since the signal can be influenced or falsified by unwanted electrical or electromagnetic effects. The pulse width modulated signal is particularly susceptible to errors when a pulse duty factor - the time ratio of the positive portion of the pulse to the entire pulse period - is particularly small. The frequency of errors in the control of the charging device is very high. The pulse duty factor defines the amount of charging current that is “drawn” by the vehicle's electrical storage.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a method for controlling a charging device for electrical energy stores by means of a pulse-width-modulated signal, in which a reliable charging of an electrical energy store can be ensured.
This object is achieved by means of a method for controlling a charging device for electrical energy stores by means of a pulse width modulated signal or a charging device for operating such a method. In the method according to the invention, the voltage values alternate between at least one different positive and a constant negative voltage value, a positive portion of a pulse of the pulse-width-modulated signal being stored in a first capacitor, and a second capacitor being charged in the absence of a negative portion of the pulse of the pulse-width-modulated signal ,
In a particularly simple and reliable manner, the positive voltage value is buffered by means of a capacitor and used as a new analog signal, e.g. can be fed to an analog-digital input of a µ controller. As a result, the complex and timely sampling or evaluation of the positive portion of the pulse of the pulse-width-modulated signal can be avoided or can take place at a "later" time - after the signal has "stabilized". Influences due to electromagnetic effects are thereby avoided, whereby possible incorrect measurements can be largely excluded.
The situation is similar with the negative voltage value or the negative portion of the pulse of the pulse-width-modulated signal, which must always be -12 V during error-free communication. As soon as the negative pulse component of the PWM signal is missing, a second capacitor is charged. This capacitor is dimensioned such that, in the absence of the negative portion of the pulse of the pulse-width-modulated signal, an error signal is generated when the voltage value is read from a digital input of a μ-controller.
In a particularly advantageous manner, this makes it possible to dispense with sampling of the individual signal or pulse components of the pulse-width-modulated signal and to reliably determine a specific state of charge of the charging device. The individual voltage values, which correspond to the charges of the respective capacitors, are regulated down to an equivalent voltage level of the μ-controller via suitable circuit elements or level converters, which can then be processed by the μ-controller.
Since the different positive voltage values of the pulse-width-modulated signal correspond to individual charge states with which the charging device is controlled, it is expedient to carry the voltage value, which corresponds to the charge of the first capacitor, as an analog signal to an A / D input of a μ-controller , As a result, the µ-Controller is able to set both the state of charge to be controlled and the level of the current “to be drawn” from the electrical energy store, whereby a pulse duty factor of the PWM signal is proportional to the amount of the “to be drawn” current.
Since the pulse width modulated signal, in which the voltage values alternate between at least one different positive and a constant negative voltage value, in the case of the negative portion of the pulse of the pulse width modulated signal, the only thing that matters is whether it is present or not, that corresponds to the charge of the second capacitor as an analog signal, only to be routed to a digital D input of the µ controller.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, a predetermined voltage value 0 0, which corresponds to the charge of the second capacitor, triggers an error signal in the μ-controller. As a result, a fault in the loading device can be determined in a particularly reliable and simple manner. Neither a sampling nor an immediate evaluation of the negative part of the pulse of the pulse width modulated signal is required. This eliminates the need for time-consuming switching and thus saves costs.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment, a pulse duty factor of the positive portion of the pulse of the pulse width modulated signal determines the level of the charging current of the charging device. This makes it easy to use an adjusting screw for controlling the charging current, and one and the same pulse-width-modulated signal can be used.
- a first capacitor in which at least a positive portion of a pulse of the pulse width modulated signal can be stored, and
- a second capacitor that can be charged if a negative portion of the alternating pulse-width modulated signal is missing.
By arranging capacitors, individual voltage values of the positive or negative portion of a pulse of the pulse-width-modulated signal can be temporarily stored and thus delayed by a μ-controller can be evaluated without the need for complex circuits for sampling the individual negative and positive components of the pulse of the PWM signal. Furthermore, the influence of electromagnetic effects on the pulse-width-modulated signal can advantageously be avoided. This ensures reliable control of the state of charge of the charging device and the charging current.
In an advantageous embodiment, the PWM signal is transmitted via a dedicated pilot conductor of the charging device. As a result, the reliability of the transmission can be increased, especially since the pilot conductor can be specifically extended to such a transmission.
