Description

The invention relates to a method for creating a three-dimensional representation of an object arrangement, in particular a workshop and the production equipment contained therein.

For capturing three-dimensional objects and generating computer-based representations of these objects, laser scanning is a well-known technique. An example of this survey method can be found in the US 5,870,220 , Usually, for this purpose, the object to be measured is scanned with a laser scanner, from the obtained measuring points a polygonal network or an adaptive network is created, from which a three-dimensional model of the object is then generated. Such known methods are particularly suitable for detecting small, relatively compact objects.

In the planning of manufacturing equipment or the like, the problem now often arises that existing equipment for the purpose of planning extensions or the like must first be recorded in a computer model. This is done nowadays usually in elaborate manual work, ie by manual creation of a CAD model. Due to the high cost of model creation, this leads to particularly long planning times and increases the planning and expansion costs considerably.

The present invention is therefore based on the object to provide a method of the type mentioned above, which allows a particularly fast and cost-effective detection of existing manufacturing plants or workshops and thus reduces the planning times and planning costs.

This object is achieved by a method having the features of patent claim 1.

In such a method for producing a three-dimensional representation of an object arrangement, in particular a workshop, the three-dimensional coordinates of a plurality of points of the object arrangement with respect to a predetermined coordinate origin are first determined. From the coordinates determined in this way, it is already possible to create a point cloud representation which essentially completely describes the object, but because of the large number of individual points, such a representation is very space-consuming and only conditionally suitable for further processing in a CAD system. To optimize the representation, coherent surface elements in the point cloud representation are therefore determined below. This can be done, for example, by detecting contiguous triangles, polygons or even more complex shaped surfaces such as non-uniform rational B-splines (NURBS). On the basis of the surface elements thus determined, the final three-dimensional representation of the object arrangement is finally created. This makes it possible to further process the spatial configuration of the object arrangement, for example in CAD programs or the like, in order to be able to carry out further planning with regard to extensions or reconfigurations of the object arrangement without having to comprehend them manually. This significantly reduces planning times and significantly reduces planning costs.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, after the recognition of the contiguous surface elements to the rule geometry elements are recognized. These are contiguous surfaces of arbitrary, but regular geometries, such as planes, cylinders, cuboids or the like, whereby the accumulated amount of data can be significantly reduced again. For example, a pipeline in the representation by area elements can only be represented by a high number of polygons. However, if it is recognized that these polygons are a regular cylinder forming the pipeline, then only the spatial position of the central axis, the radius and the length of the cylinder are sufficient for the complete description of the object. As a result, a particularly good data reduction can be achieved.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, an associated color information is determined for each point when recording the three-dimensional coordinates. Intensities or brightnesses can also be included in the data acquisition. On the one hand, this makes it possible to create a particularly realistic representation of the object arrangement and, on the other hand, facilitates the recognition of coherent objects, which are often colored the same. The color information can also be used to classify object types in a subsequent processing step. For example, pipes in the factory field are usually color-coded (according to DIN 1946 ), so that yellow pipes can be automatically identified as natural gas pipes, blue pipes as compressed air pipes, etc.

The determination of the coordinates is carried out in a preferred embodiment of the invention by means of a laser scanner and an associated digital camera, for example a high definition range (HDR) camera. This enables a particularly fast data acquisition.

In order to be able to completely detect even particularly complex object arrangements, such as, for example, production halls, production facilities or the like, the determination of the coordinates in the first step of the method is carried out from at least two different positions of the object arrangement. This makes it possible to ensure that surface elements that are hidden from a first position can be picked up from a second position. In order to facilitate the integration of the point data thus obtained into a common coordinate system, it may be expedient to attach marker points beforehand, which are measured using classical methods, for example with the aid of a tachymeter. Alternatively, the positions of the marker points can be detected using theodolites. The transfer of the point clouds thus determined from different positions into a common point cloud representation based on a common coordinate system is preferably carried out by means of a photogrammetric method. These are methods which are known per se and which are particularly well suited for synthesizing an overall image from a plurality of individual images. Usually, one uses the basic equation of projective geometry, in particular the collinearity equations. For elongated objects, referencing can be done directly by the tachymeter.

Es zeigen:In the following the invention and its embodiments will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. Show it:

To a complex, in the 1 only shown in detail and as a whole with 10 designated object arrangement, here a manufacturing plant or a workshop, to capture in a CAD program, has been created in elaborate manual work, a corresponding CAD model. In order to accelerate this process and thus planning times and planning costs, the production plant is within the scope of an embodiment of the method according to the invention 10 by means of a laser scanner 12 detected. The laser scanner 12 includes a digital camera, preferably a high dynamic range (HDR) camera), which is a two-dimensional image of the manufacturing facility 10 receives, as well as at least one laser, by means of which the visible area of the manufacturing plant 10 can be sampled. Interferometric methods can thus be used to obtain additional distance information for each pixel captured by the digital camera. From the position of the laser scanner 12 in the manufacturing plant 10 and this distance information can be given for each pixel, which was detected with the video camera, three-dimensional coordinates to a corresponding selected coordinate origin. At least six pieces of information are now available for each pixel, namely the coordinates in three spatial directions, as well as the color information red / green / blue corresponding pixel and optionally its intensity. This data format is also called XYZRGBI in the 3D survey. The intensity value can also be used for the detection and filtering of measured value outliers. Measuring points with very high or very low intensity correspond to areas in which the laser light is reflected very little (eg by scattering) or very strongly (eg by reflection). Therefore, it can be concluded from such very high or very low intensity values on the presentation of measurement errors.

Since it is generally not possible to detect the entire factory floor from a single scanner standpoint, it is expedient to provide several measuring points so that no objects lie in the blind spot of the total image. In order to combine the individual images thus obtained or the respective pixel information into an overall image, all recorded point coordinates must be converted into the same coordinate system. For this purpose, it is expedient if predetermined points of the manufacturing plant 10 previously separately, for example, be measured with the help of a theodolite and provided with appropriate markings, so that they by means of the laser scanner 12 recorded point data can serve as reference points.

After transferring the recorded pixels into a common coordinate system, this results in a whole 14 designated representation of the manufacturing plant 10 as a point cloud. As a result, all the necessary spatial coordinates of the production line are already 10 However, due to the representation as a point cloud representation, this requires a very large storage space. In order to arrive at a manageable data record, therefore, a data reduction is necessary. These are the in the point cloud representation 14 converted pixels converted into surface data. In order to achieve this, the point cloud is usually first segmented, ie divided into meaningful subpopulation sets with the same properties. For this purpose, one first performs a triangulation and a determination of the neighborhood relationships of the point cloud.

This process, namely the transfer of the point cloud 14 , in a corresponding traverse 16 , is in 2 again shown in detail. Polygonization becomes points of the point cloud 14 determined, which lie on a common surfaces. For this purpose, for example, find an octree data structure application or the method of Delaunaytriangulation be applied. In this method, all triangles of a triangle mesh formed from the point cloud must meet the so-called perimeter condition, the perimeter of a single triangle of the network must therefore receive no further points of the predetermined point set.

Triangulation can already achieve a first data reduction. In order to further reduce the amount of data to be handled, approximate areas can be created that include several triangles created in the triangulation. In order to further reduce the amount of data, curvature values are determined for such approximation areas and adjacent points of equal curvature properties are combined. Adjacent approximation areas of the same parameterization can be combined in order to further reduce the amount of data.

Polygonnetz. It is also expedient to analyze the approximation surfaces thus obtained for the presence of so-called rule geometries. For example, it can be checked whether plane, parabolic, hyperbolic or elliptical surfaces are present, which as a rule delimit a single body. In this way, for. B. the in 1 Tons are identified as cylindrical objects that can be defined only by the position of their central axis, their lateral surface and their radius. For this purpose, significantly less data is required than for a representation in a point cloud representation or in a triangle mesh or polygon mesh.

The resulting data set can finally be exported in a file format which is readable by common CAD programs. This will eventually make the in 1 pictured right below, with 18 designated CAD representation of the manufacturing plant received. Based on this CAD representation, planning work can now be carried out without the need for elaborate manual construction of a model. Even changes in existing production facilities can be converted into CAD models very quickly, so that complete documentation is available at the CAD level.

Overall, the method described allows a quick and easy creation of CAD models of complex object arrangements such as manufacturing plants, workshops or the like, so that planning and development costs for such objects can be reduced.
