Die erfindungsgemäße Zuckerzange weist dabei einen ersten Abschnitt zum Auflegen derselben auf ein Gefäß auf, sowie einen zweiten Abschnitt zum zumindest seitlichen Halten des zumindest einen Zuckerstücks, wobei der erste Abschnitt schmäler als der zweite Abschnitt ist. Der Begriff Zuckerstück ist hierbei insbesondere im Hinblick auf handelsübliche Zuckerwürfel zu verstehen, so dass die Abmessungen des ersten und/oder zweiten Abschnitts der erfindungsgemäßen Zuckerzange auf die üblicherweise im Handel verwendeten Zuckerwürfel abgestimmt sind. Durch die Tatsache, dass die handelsüblichen Zuckerwürfel nunmehr sicher auf dem ersten Abschnitt aufliegen und vom zweiten Abschnitt an einem seitlichen Herabfallen gehindert werden, ist auch eine vergleichsweise gefahrlose Handhabung der Zuckerzange möglich, was bislang bei einer einfachen Auflage, auf welcher der brennende Zuckerhut lag, nicht der Fall war.
