Karde, Strecke, Kämmmaschine oder Fleyer, mit einem Tastwalzenpaar, zur Erzeugung oder Weiterverarbeitung mindestens eines Faserbandes, ist das Faserband zwischen zwei Tastwalzen geführt, sind die Tastwalzen zur Messung der Faserbanddicke radial im Abstand veränderbar und ist wenigstens eine der Tastwalzen angetrieben. Ein besonderer Vorteil besteht in der Kompaktbauweise, die zu einer Reduzierung der Masse führt.
