Description

  • The The invention relates to a folding knife with a housing, a Blade, which in an end region in the housing around a Pivot axis between a closed position in which the Blade is disposed in the housing, and a working position, in which the blade is folded out of the housing, pivoted is mounted, and with a comprehensive locking element Locking device for locking the blade in the working position and / or in the closed position.
  • Such folding knives are widely known. A generic folding knife is in the DE 195 38 920 C1 described, in which the locking device is advantageously arranged dirt-tight in the housing. The locking device is operated with respect to the longitudinal extent of the folding knife centrally on the housing, whereby the hand of a user must be positioned according to the center back. This is unfavorable when opening and closing the knife of the forces to be applied and at the same time increases the risk of injury.
  • In the DE 298 10 909 U1 For example, a generic folding knife has a locking device that is operated over the palm of the hand of a user engaging the folding knife.
  • Of the Invention is based on the object, a folding knife of the beginning to provide said type, which is easier and safer to handle.
  • According to the invention the stated object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are set forth in the following subclaims described. In particular, the object is achieved by that the locking element with respect to a direction from a middle of the housing to the pivot axis behind the pivot axis attacks on the blade.
  • In order to a user can keep the knife in a cheap and secure Handle position by passing the handle of the knife with his hand encompass its entire axial length and hold securely can. So he can, for example, with non-backward Thumb press the locking element power. This increases the safety in the handling of the knife. Because of the safe storage of the knife in hand, the folding knife easy to handle with one hand. The folding knife can be designed as a jumping knife, in the known the blade in the closed position under spring preload is held in the housing and under detachment jumps into the working position by means of the spring force.
  • Preferably it is provided that the locking element is designed as a slide is. The slider can be parallel to the blade over a Displacement path between a locking position for locking the blade in the working position and / or the closed position and a release position for unlocking the blade and be movable. This in turn facilitates a simple and safe handling of the knife. Here, the shift takes place of the slider in the locking position in a locking direction preferably equal to the o. g. Direction is. The locking direction is preferably equal to or approximately equal to the direction in the longitudinal axis of the folding knife in the closed position of the blade of the center of the housing towards the pivot axis.
  • Preferably the slider is on a broad side of the knife on the side or attached in the handle. Depending on which side of the slider provided The slider can be more easily left-handed or right-handed be operated. Regarding the locking direction can be used for left-handed operation of the slide right and right-handed operation on the left the blade can be arranged. Preferably, the actuation takes place the slide by direct attack on the slide and this preferred and from the outside. Preferably, the slider one-hand operable. Thus, the knife in one Hand held and with a finger of this hand, lightly with the thumb, unlocked and locked with one hand. The knife can as Spring knife be formed, in which the blade by means of spring or throwing power out of the handle in an arc pivoted forward and there is locked. It can also be called a so-called OTF knife (out of the front knife) be formed, in which the spring-loaded Blade can be flung out of the handle linearly by spring force can.
  • The Blade can have at least one more working position, in the longitudinal axes of the blade and housing a Angle less than 180 °, preferably 90 °. Preferably, the blade is in the locking position with respect its longitudinal axis in a pivot angle of 180 ° and / or 90 ° to its position in the closed position. Thus, two working positions can be provided, the spaced by a pivot angle of 90 ° from each other are.
  • Conveniently, locking direction and pivot axes can preferably intersect perpendicularly. This can facilitate the displacement of the slider by means of the thumb on the hand of the user, as this when gripping the knife handle by hand, since additional torques are avoided with respect to the axis of rotation can.
  • The Locking device may include a recess provided in the blade in which the slide locking position in the Verriege locking intervenes. Preferably, the slider is in the locking position positive and / or positive fit in and / or against the locking direction held in the recess. This may cause an unintentional Release the locking element from the locking position be effectively countered. For this purpose, the slider in the Locking position to be locked. Possible is one spring-loaded deflection of the slider perpendicular to the locking direction during its movement in the locking direction, z. B. over an inclined plane, wherein the slider in its locking position, for example with a projection in a designated locking opening can engage and lock.
  • Prefers is a loading of the slider with a spring force in the locking direction provided by a spring device. Thus, the slider can against the locking direction against a spring force in one Unlocking be moved. With releasing the slide The spring force can be the slider in the locking direction in his Move locking position. The spring device can so be designed that the slide over its entire Displacement path is spring loaded.
  • Preferably is the slider over the entire displacement path in the recess out. For this purpose, the slider means a locking projection like a backdrop in a recess intervene and be forced into it.
  • The Recess may be formed slot-like. She can be one semicircular, concentric about the pivot axis of the Blade arranged first section. Both ends of the The first section may be followed by a second section, with respect to the pivot axis of the first section radially outward and longitudinally of the blade extends. The recess may be in the tang and the ricasso of the Blade be arranged. The ricasso is generally the Area of the blade that is not ground.
  • Of the first section may be circular arc around the pivot axis the blade from the tang into the blade, especially in the ricasso extend into it. A second portion of the recess extends then preferably from the first section further into the blade towards the blade tip while the other second to the free end of the fishing rod can extend into it. Preferably the recess is completely arranged in the fishing rod. The Recess is preferably arranged in the knife that they in the installation position of the blade with the tang in the booklet completely is taken in the handle and covered.
  • Since the locking projection is preferably slidably mounted only in and against the locking direction, the locking projection in the recess can be guided relative to the blade, that in the closed position of the knife in a first section facing away from the free end portion of a second portion and in the working position of the Knife in a first section facing away from the free end portion of the other second section. Preferably, the second portions extend radially from the pivot axis with respect to the pivot axis of the knife from the first portion. The knife is locked in this designed as a locking position position of the locking projections against pivoting by the locking projections abut against the inside of the inner side surfaces of the second portions of the recess. Appropriately, the locking projections in the locking position strike the inside and end face in the recess. This makes it possible to position the locking projections in the locking position spring-loaded in the locking direction and thus more secure to hold in the same. The first section expediently closes in each case to the second section such that the locking projection is displaceable relative to the blade into the first section with its displacement relative to the end section of the respective second section facing the first section. According to this preferred embodiment of the folding knife, the locking projection in the closed position in the end section of the second section of the recess arranged in the tang preferably strikes at the end in a spring-loaded manner. For unlocking the locking projection against the spring force in the unlocking direction, ie towards the middle of the stitch, moved, wherein the blade when the locking projection reaches the first portion facing the end portion of the second portion and thus the transition to the first portion or one end of the first portion has, is unlocked and manually or, in a spring blade with spring-loaded blade, by means of this spring load from the closed position to the working position is movable. In this case, the locking projection is guided in the circular arc-like first portion of the recess relative to the blade. With respect to the booklet, the locking projection remains static, so that it acts unaltered behind the pivot axis on the blade. Upon reaching the working position of the blade, the locking projection is guided in its relative movement to the blade to the other end of the first portion of the recess to which the other, here also in the longitudinal axis of the blade extending second section connects. When the locking projection is spring-loaded in the locking direction, it accelerates towards the free end of this other second section with at least partial spring release and simultaneous locking with respect to the pivoting movement of the blade. Otherwise it can be guided manually. Thus, the locking projection in a relative movement to the blade passes through the entire recess, while it is displaceable relative to the handle or the handle of the folding knife over the displacement path. The maximum displacement path is limited by the radial extent of the second sections relative to the pivot axis.
  • It can also have more than two second sections of the recess be provided. For example, another second section from preferably by a rotation angle of 90 ° from the other two second portions spaced radially from the first portion be positioned outwardly extending. This can be the Blade to be locked in a second working position in the they preferably one with respect to their longitudinal axis forming right angle with the booklet. In the same way you can further second sections for locking the blade in further Working positions may be provided, with the second sections expediently from the first section radially outward extend.
  • Of the Slider itself can be in a cheap simple design tab-like with two parallel large side surfaces, a first side surface and a second side surface, and with the two side surfaces connecting narrow sides be educated. Here, the locking projection can be laterally extend from the first side surface into the recess.
  • Of the Slider can for its operation a handling projection extending from the second side surface to a extends in the housing provided opening, protrudes into it or towers over it to the outside. Preferably, the opening is adjacent or end of the Pivot axis arranged in the pivot axis having end portion of the housing.
  • manipulating projection and locking projection can with respect to a Height perpendicular to the locking direction at a height be arranged. This has the advantage that with the introduction of a displacement force in the locking direction or in or against the locking direction no additional lever moment arises by means of which the slider in the guide may tend to tilt.
  • to Guide the slider in the case or folder can inside the housing a bag-opening-like Guide receptacle be provided for the slide with respect to their contour of the outer contour of a Displacement space is adapted to the locking element over fills in the displacement path. By the locking element with its in the locking direction facing narrow sides inside at the guide recording strikes, can with it at the same time the displacement of the locking element means the guide shot are limited.
  • The Housing may have two housing shells, between where the blade is pivotally mounted. The slider can be between be arranged one of the housing shells and the blade, where appropriate, this housing shell has the guide receptacle. This also limits the Displacement path of the slider. The recess in the blade is preferably formed as a slot-like passage opening. This is manufacturing technology easier than, for example, a baggy Recess or groove. Furthermore, the locking projection can optionally from one of the two major side surfaces of the Blade in the recess engage, so that the locking device optionally set to left- or right-handed can be. It is understood that the guide shot appropriate on the appropriate page in the respective first housing shell is arranged. expedient the housing shells have a same outer contour on and are in installation position with respect to a direction perpendicular to the larger side surface of the blade or in pivot axis direction congruent in the folding knife arranged.
  • The housing may have two support disks for the blade, which are arranged on both sides of the blade between the blade and the housing shells. The support disks can thus limit a receiving space for the blade in the housing and / or the guide seat laterally. The support disks can be designed to effectively laterally support the blade in its installed position in the folding knife and thus avoid a seat of the blade with too much play in the housing. Preferably, the locking element is slidably against an associated support disk, wherein the associated support disk has a langlochar term passage opening for engagement of the locking element on the blade. Suitably, the support disks and the housing shells have a same outer contour and are arranged in the installation position in the pivot axis direction on both sides of the same congruent in the folding knife. Thus, an order housing shell support disk blade support disk housing shell may result. To movably store the blade in the receiving space can, between the housing shells or between the support shells conventional spacers may be provided by means of which the receiving space for possible play-free storage of the blade by a small amount greater than the blade thickness is held and at the same time limit the receiving space on the narrow side and / or can shield.
  • Of the Locking projection can through the through hole engage in the recess in the blade. expedient the slot opening extends in the locking direction and at least about the displacement path. Thus, the Displacement path of the locking element by means of the passage opening be limited by the locking element with its locking projection inside end of the slot-like passage opening strikes.
  • Of the Handling projection is preferably over in one place arranged the displacement path in the pivot axis. Preferably Both locking tab and handling tab are re their extensions in the direction of the pivot axis and / or in the locking direction arranged in a flight. The locking tab can also arranged in the locking direction behind the handling projection be. The handling projection can with respect to the pivot axis in the locking direction in front of or behind the pivot axis, respectively preferably slightly spaced from the same, to be arranged. The handling projection Alternatively, in the locking direction in height of the pivot axis be positioned. Preferably, the handling projection is so arranged in the locking direction that its locking direction the pivot axis intersects. The latter prevent both measures that when moving the locking element an additional Moment of force arises about the pivot axis.
  • The Locking device is thus preferably up to his Actuation from the housing outstanding handling projection completely encapsulated in the housing. Thus, pollution can be the locking device, which the functionality at least limit, can be successfully prevented.
  • In An embodiment of the folding knife is the pivot axis the blade led outwards on both sides of the blade and secured from the outside by the end. This can be helped be that the case is facing the blade the pivot axis direction is held together. The fuse can be designed so that for the axial cohesion of Housing and blade no further precautions necessary are. The fuse can be designed so that both ends the pivot axis in each case a cap mounted axially and on the pivot axis is fixed. The setting can be a screwing or a Be riveting. The housing shells and / or support disks can be locked or locked together or one another. Thus, outside of the housing can only the secured ends of the pivot axis and on one side of the Externally operable handling section visible be.
  • The Pivot axis can end inside of the housing shells, or the support disks be stored so that the housing shells or the support shells the pivot axis to the outside cover up. In a preferred embodiment of the folding knife is provided that the locking element, in particular in his Training as a slide, the pivot axis at least on the side of the Locking element covered to the outside. With an overlap of the pivot axis by means of the locking element the pivot axis is preferably in the support disks stored by the pivot axis to its storage by bearing openings is guided in the support disks. With an overlap the pivot axis by means of the housing shells is the pivot axis inside the housing shells and / or in the bearing openings stored in the support disks. For this she can by a Bearing opening in the locking element or through bearing openings guided in the locking element and in the support disks be arranged appropriately aligned for this purpose are. For further support of the pivot axis can in the respective component, which covers the pivot axis, a blind hole-like recording be provided, in which the pivot axis protrudes and inside is held. With the locking element that the pivot axis Covering component the blind hole-like recording because of the sliding movement the locking element expedient slot-like a longitudinal extent formed, at least equal the displacement path of the locking element is.
  • As noted above, the locking element may be spring-loaded movable, being movable from the locking position to the release position against the spring force. Preferably, the locking element is also spring-loaded in the locking position by being pressed and held in the locking position in the locking direction against a stop, here preferably inside against the end of the guide receptacle. Preferably, a compression spring is provided for spring loading of the locking element, which is inserted in a spring receptacle so that it is supported on the one hand on the housing and on the other hand on the locking element. The spring receptacle can by an incision or a cross-section to form a in unlocking longitudinally extending space are formed, which is open in the installed position at least at one end in the locking direction to the guide receptacle and in the longitudinal extent of the compression spring is mounted.
  • In his training of the folding knife as a spring knife, it can be a usual Spring-spring mechanism for the blade, by means whose the blade with unlocking from the closed position can fast into the working position.
  • to stronger fixation of handles and blade or of Handle shells, support discs and blade can usual additional connections, in particular screw connections be provided, which press these components against each other. This expediently such that slider and blade relative are movable to the housing.
  • The The present invention is described below with reference to two in a drawing illustrated embodiments explained in more detail. In the drawing show:

  • In the 1 to 9 become in different views and cutouts two embodiments of a folding knife 1 as well as individual components shown. The folding knife 1 has a housing 2 on, which is designed as a handle or notebook. There is also a blade 3 provided in an end area 4 of the housing 2 about a Schenkachse s between a closed position, not shown here, in which the blade 3 in the case 2 folded back, and a reproduced in the figures working position in which the blade 3 out of the case 2 is folded out, is pivotally mounted. The folding knife 1 includes a locking device 5 with a locking element 6 for locking the blade 3 in the closed position and in the working position.
  • This as a slider 8th trained locking element 6 engages with respect to a direction r of a housing center 7 to the pivot axis s behind the pivot axis s on the blade 3 attacks. This direction r is equal to a locking direction v. The slider 8th is parallel to the blade via a displacement path w in the direction of displacement v in an in 1 . 2 . 6 and 7 shown locking position for locking the blade 3 in the working position and the closed position and a release position for unlocking the blade 3 movable. In this case intersect the locking direction v and pivot axis s, so that with the movement of the slider 8th no additional moments of force on the pivot axis s can act.
  • The slider 8th is tab-like with two in parallel large side surfaces to a side surface 10 and a second side surface 11 , and with the side surfaces 10 . 11 connecting narrow sides 12 educated. From the first side surface 10 in the installation position of the blade 3 facing, a locking projection extends 13 to the blade 3 go and reach into one in the blade 3 provided recess 14 one. The recess 14 is designed slot-like. It has a circular, concentrically arranged about the pivot axis s first section 15 on, at the end in each case a second section 16 followed. The two second sections 16 extend with respect to the pivot axis s from the first section 15 radially outward. In the embodiments of the folding knife shown here 1 extend the second sections 16 in the working position and in the closed position of the blade 3 in the longitudinal axis l of the folding knife and lie with respect to a height h perpendicular to the pivot axis s and the locking direction v at a height. The locking projection 13 of the slider 8th is over the entire displacement path w in the recess 14 guided. Is the locking projection 13 in the first section 15 Thus, the blade is unlocked and about its pivot axis s over the length of the first section 15 pivotable until they each end of the first section 15 strikes. To facilitate the transition is at these points in each case a recess 17 intended. If the slide from this position at each end of the first section 15 in the dent 17 in the locking direction v in the respective second section 16 moved into it, so is the blade 3 locked against pivoting about its pivot axis s. The respective length of the second section 16 is sized to ensure secure locking of the blade 3 can take place. As explained in more detail below, the slider is 8th Spring-loaded in the locking direction v, so that it is pressed in the locking direction both in the locking position and in the release position with a spring force.
  • The housing 2 here has two housing shells 18 and support disks 19 each with the same outer contours, the congruent in installation position in the direction of the pivot axis s in the folding knife 1 are arranged. Thus arises, as in the exploded view of 2 and 7 seen, an order of housing shell 18 - Support disk 19 - Blade 3 - Support disk 19 - Housing shell 18 , In the here with respect to locking direction v and the blade 3 left housing shell 18 is on the inside a sack opening-like guide receptacle 20 for the slider 8th provided, which is adapted with respect to their contour of the outer contour of a displacement space, the slider 8th via the displacement path w (see in particular 4 and 9 ). The guide shot 20 At the same time limits the displacement w of the slider 8th in which this inside and spring loaded on the guide receptacle 20 strikes.
  • In the embodiment of the blade shown here 1 is the slider with respect to the blade 3 and seen in the locking direction v arranged left and thus more suitable for use by right-handed people. From the point of view, however, it can be seen that the slider 8th also on the right side of the blade 3 in the case 2 movable so that it is more suitable for left-handers.
  • The guide shot 20 becomes the blade 3 through the adjacent support disk 19 limited, without affecting the guide 20 here in the support disk 19 extends into it. Thus, the slider 8th safe in the case 2 stored. He grabs his locking tab 13 through a designated passage opening 21 through the support disk 19 through into the recess 14 the blade inside. The passage opening 21 is formed according to the intended displacement path w in the locking direction v slot-like. In the first embodiment according to the 1 to 5 passes through the pivot axis s also the passage opening 21 while in the second embodiment of the folding knife 1 according to the 5 to 7 for the pivot axis an additional blind hole and slot-like bearing opening 22 is provided for the pivot axis s.
  • The slider 8th has a handling projection 23 up, extending from its second side surface 11 through one in the housing 2 or in the housing shell 18 provided opening 24 extends through the end and the housing by a certain amount so far surmounted that it is easily operable from the outside, ie displaced. This is the opening 24 formed in both embodiments in the locking direction v slot-like, which in particular in the first embodiment of the dynamometer 1 according to 1 is clearly visible. In the second embodiment of the folding knife 1 is the handling tab 23 plate-like, so that the opening 24 is essentially uncovered from the outside.
  • So that the blade 3 in the case 2 is easily pivotable, is between the two support discs 19 a spacing and covering element 19a provided that in its width in the direction of the pivot axis s slightly larger than the blade 3 is. No longer provided, but as a further embodiment of the folding knife possible, the provision of a spring according to the prior art, by means of which the blade can jump from its closed position to the working position.
  • Thanks to the inventive design of the locking device 5 is the same except for its operation from the housing 2 outstanding handling advantage 23 completely in the case 2 capsuled. Thus, a contamination of the locking device 5 , which can at least limit the functionality, prevented.
  • A major difference between the two embodiments of the folding knife 1 is that in the first embodiment of the handling projection parallel and the center of the housing 7 spaced apart from the pivot axis s is arranged. The pivot axis s passes through on the left side of the blade 3 the passage opening of the left support disk here 19 , intended bearing openings 25 in the slide 8th and in the left case shell 18 as well as the right side of the blade 3 provided bearing openings 25 in the right support disk 19 and right housing shell 18 , where they are here by end riveting or screwing from the outside against the outside attack the housing and thus ensure a cohesion of the folding knife. On the outside, this is around the bearing opening 22 a depression 26 provided for guiding the pivot axis s at its pivoting and for receiving the end riveting or screwing. Because of the shift of the slider 8th via the displacement path w is the bearing opening 25 in the slide 8th designed according to slot-like.
  • Notwithstanding the first embodiment of the folding knife 1 ends the pivot axis s left side in the bearing opening 25 of the slider 8th , where the bearing opening 25 this, in particular in 8a seen, is executed blind hole-like. The pivot axis s is for this purpose as a sleeve 27 formed by the bearing opening 25 of the slider 8th through the bearing opening 22 the here left support disk 19 , one in the blade 3 provided bearing opening 25 and the bearing opening 22 the here left support disk 19 and left housing shell 18 is guided and end by means of a screw 28 is secured.
  • In the locking position of the slider 8th in an axis with the pivot axis s, the handling projection extends 23 from the baggy storage opening 25 of the slider 8th or from its second side surface through the opening 24 the here left housing shell through and is also by a screw 28 secured. This is the opening 24 because of the relative movement of the slider 8th opposite the housing 2 executed according to slot-like.
  • The ease of readability of the drawings are not shown here further screw, which for the further cohesion of the folding knife 1 to care. Only single screw holes 25 in the left-hand support screw 19 are intended to indicate that such screw connections are vorgese hen.
  • The locking projection 13 as well as the two second sections 16 are conically tapered in the locking direction v to the locking projection 13 accordingly easier and safer from the first section 15 in the respective section 16 to be able to move into it.
  • For spring loading of the slider 8th Here is one as a coil spring 30 trained compression spring provided in a spring chamber 31 is stored and the end in the locking direction v to the slider 8th and end against locking direction v inside on the guide receptacle 20 supported. Here is the coil spring 30 designed so that they are also in the locking position of the slider 8th exerts a spring force on the same. The spring chamber 31 is inside through the guide 20 , the associated support disk 19 and the facing portions of the narrow side 12 of the locking element 6 limited.
