Erfindungsgemäß ist eine diskontinuierliche Sitztiefenverstellung vorgesehen, bei der der Sitzteilabschnitt aus einer Grundstellung (bzw. ersten Verstellposition), in der sich der Sitzteilabschnitt unterhalb des eigentlichen (Haupt-) Sitzteils bzw. der Hauptsitzfläche befindet, in eine zweite Verstellposition ausstellbar ist, bei der ein erster Bereich zur Sitzteilverlängerung die Sitzfläche ergänzt. Aus der zweiten Verstellposition läßt sich das Sitzteilelement in eine dritte Verstellposition so verstellen, daß nun ein zweiter Bereich des Sitzteilabschnitts die Sitzverlängerung bildet. Hierdurch findet sich in der ersten Verstellposition keine Fuge in der Sitzfläche, so daß zum einen ein verbesserter optischer Eindruck entsteht und zum anderen auch keine Verunreinigungen, wie etwa Krümel oder dergleichen in den Zwischenraum zwischen Sitzteil und verstellbarem Sitzteilabschnitt gelangen können. In der zweiten und dritten Verstellposition ist der Bereich unterhalb der Fuge zwischen Sitzteil und Sitzteilabschnitt zur Reinigung von außen zugänglich, so daß auf eine Auffangfalte (sog.
