Abstract

Production of dry powder made from preparations of nano-particles containing a liquid comprises shock freezing the preparation and vacuum drying. An independent claim is also included for a freeze drying device used in the above process. Preferred Features: Ceramic, mineral, organic, inorganic, semiconducting or metallic nano-particles are contained in the preparation. The preparation is a precipitate, slurry or suspension containing an inorganic and/or organic liquid. Shock freezing is carried out using a cryogenic coolant.
