  • To control the wastewater problems in factory farms, screw presses have been developed that are able to separate the solids from the liquid manure as a moist, crumbly material. A corresponding machine is in the EP 0 367 037 A2 shown.
  • In practical operation it was found that in the deposited liquid, a proportion of fine minerals is contained, which settled in pipelines and containers and further processing of the liquid, for example by flotation difficult.
  • Since the performance of the deposition via a hydrocyclone is not sufficient and the use of decanters causes too high a cost, was in the patent EP 0 904 156 A1 presented a centrifuge that better fulfills this task.
  • Object of the invention
  • The aim of the invention is to be able to decrease the potential areas of use according to the solid in different qualities, for example, to use the coarse ingredients as litter in the barns, while the finer components with the highest possible proportion of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other important components of a composting be supplied.
  • The coarse solids content of manure, which consists predominantly of shell constituents of the feed and undigested cereals, has lower biological activity. They are therefore more suitable for recycling than bedding in the barns, as the amount of total precipitable solids.
  • The separate separation of the coarse solids also reduces the amount of additive required for supplemental binding of the very fine or dissolved nutrients in the further solid-liquid separation.
  • Features of the invention

  1. Process for the recovery, and in particular also for the use, of solids obtained from waste water from industrial animal production with screw presses and centrifuges and used for the purpose of littering in the cowsheds and for the production of a nutrient-rich compost, characterized in that in a cascade ( 4 ) of machines using coarse sieves, in the first screw press ( 5 ) the coarser solids fractions ( 6 ), the sieve passage ( 7 ) a second screw press ( 8th ), is supplied with a gap width of 0.3-0.5 mm, the sieve passage ( 9 ) from this second machine in a centrifuge ( 11 ), whose sludge outlet ( 12 ) a third screw press ( 13 ) and the sieve passage ( 18 ) of this third screw press, with a gap width of 0.2-0.3 mm, with the clear-running ( 17 ) is brought together from the centrifuge.
