Der Gegenstand der Erfindung gehört jener Art von, Musikkreiseln an, bei denen der Geschwindigkeitsunterschied
zwischen dem die S$mmenscheibe enthaltenden Kreiselgehä'use
xu'nd einer in dessen Innern drehbar gelagerten,
einejq Windflügel tragenden Achse. dazu benutzt
wird, um eine mit Ausschnitten versehene Scheibe derart gegen die Stimmenscheibe
zu verdrehen, dafs die Stimmenzungen der Reihe nach angeblasen werden. Bei den bisher bekannt gewordenen Ausführungsformen
solcher Kreisel wird, wie z. B. bei dem Kreisel der Patentschrift Nr. 48445 , die Schlitzscheibe
ununterbrochen mit gleichmä'fsiger Geschwindigkeit gegen die Stimmenscheibe gedreht. Die
einzelnen Stimmenzungen kommen daher jeweils nur während eines Augenblicks mit den
darüber hinweggleitenden Oeffnungen der Schlitzscheibe vollständig zur Deckung, während
sie in der übrigen Zeit nur theilweise mit den Luftschlitzen sich decken und infolge
dessen unreine, mit einander sich vermischende Töne erzeugen. Die Erfindung will nun diesen
Nachtheil dadurch beheben, dafs die Drehung der Schlitzscheibe gegen die Stimmenscheibe
ruckweise geschieht und demgemäfs jeweils ein plötzlicher Stimmenwechsel erfolgt, durch den
die Erzielung voller, reiner, sich nicht vermischender Töne bedingt ist. Zu diesem
Zwecke ist nachstehende, durch die Fig. 1 und 2 der Zeichnung, welche einen Kreisel
der in Rede stehenden Art in Auf- und Grundrifs darstellen, veranschaulichte Einrichtung getroffen.

The invention seeks to remedy this disadvantage by turning the slotted disc against the vocal disc jerkily and accordingly a sudden change of voices takes place, through which the achievement of full, pure, non-mixing tones is necessary. For this purpose, the following device illustrated by FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing, which represent a gyro of the type in question in top and bottom lines, is taken.

tragenden Achse α ist eine zweite Achse b drehbar im Gehäuse B gelagert, welche
durch Schnecke c und Schneckenrad C1 mit der Achse α verbunden ist. Von dieser Achse
aus wird nun ein Schaltwerk angetrieben, welches die über der Stimmenscheibe d angeordnete
und durch eine Feder e schwach angeprefste Schlitzscheibe f in der gewünschten
Weise bethä'tigt. Das Schaltwerk besteht bei der gezeichneten Ausführungsform aus einem
am Umfang der Schlitzscheibe f befindlichen Zahnkranz g, in den ein als Sperrklinke wirkender,
auf der Achse b sitzender Hebel h eingreift und bei jeder Umdrehung der Achse b
die Schlitzscheibe um einen Zahn weiter dreht. Wenn nun die Zahntheilung gleich der
mittleren Entfernung zweier Stimmenzungen gewählt wird, so läfst sich die ruckweise Bewegung
so regeln, dafs während des Stillstandes der Schlitzscheibe je ein Schlitz mil
einer Stimmenzunge sich deckt und an Stelle der schleichenden Bewegung der älteren Auslührungsformen
ein schneller, ruckweiser Uebergang aus einer Stellung in die andere stattfindet.
Hierdurch wird das theilweise Ueberdecken der Stimmenzungen vermieden und
daher die Hervorbringung reinerer und stärkerer Töne ermöglicht, als bei ununterbrochener

In this way the partial covering of the reeds is avoided and therefore the production of purer and stronger tones is made possible than with uninterrupted, rapid rotation of the slotted disc.
