Description
The invention relates to a tap which is intended exclusively as a reserve gasoline tap, namely a cock with a rotary slide valve, which is often and still consistently called a "flat plug" referred to as. The housings of such reserve petrol taps usually have two inclined channels, one of which is intended for the flow of main and reserve gasoline. The two channels begin close to each other in the housing neck with which the tap is attached to the fuel tank then at an acute angle diagonally apart and open into openings for distant the transfer of the gasoline into the rotating flat plug. The one arranged between the housing and the flat plug The usual sealing lining is provided with corresponding openings for the passage of gasoline. at the smallness of the reserve petrol taps in question, mainly used for motor vehicles these channels, which have a diameter of a few millimeters, cannot be pre-cast Rather, they have to be generated mechanically by drilling. But this prepares Difficulties in mass production. The exact position of these holes in the valve body as prescribed excludes hands-free drilling. Rather, a drilling device must be used, and mostly in such a way that the two bores running diagonally apart in a single clamping of the housing can be generated. This requires a relatively complicated and therefore expensive device. Different housing sizes require different devices, so that for the production of a comprehensive program for the production of these inclined holes alone is a disproportionate amount high outlay on equipment is required. The length of the holes is about five to one Eight times their diameter. Experience shows that with a relatively long bore the drill runs slightly so that the hole no longer ends exactly at the prescribed point. The consequence of this is narrowing of the passage cross-section and thus throttling of the throughput of the fuel tap. In addition, such weak holes generally only work with soulful ones Manual feed can be used because the drill bits break off too easily with the mechanical feed. This again means a slow and therefore expensive drilling method. All in all, these are the ones mentioned Inclined holes are expensive to manufacture and form a source of scrap and stays in of manufacturing.

According to the invention, this is done in that one or both of the through the tap neck parallel to its axis and the associated transfer openings that can be closed by the flat plug, whose distance from the axis is greater than that of the feed channel, through in its cross section compared to the transfer opening enlarged chambers are connected, which are towards the front or Open the rear of the housing to the full extent and are molded into it from there. This largely compensates for inaccuracies in the position of the feed channel, because the Chamber can be dimensioned so large that the feed channel in any case with practically sufficient Cross section meets them.

Invention to be arranged only for main gasoline and for It is clear that the drilling of the reserve gasoline arranged in parallel use the previously known designs for connecting channels 3 and 5 from the tap neck 2, or vice versa. With the invention, it is fanned out than if these channels, as previously known, 20 were finally possible, parallel supply channels that run obliquely to the openings 8, otherwise exactly at all possible with round plug taps, or at an incision. For the first time, the Bohrvor- also to be used with flat plug taps, direction can be made much simpler, and in addition to the advantages already mentioned, the Eres also does not play a role if the drill also has the very important advantage that it can be worked into the depth of the The valve housing is somewhat different from the housing designed according to it, because the chambers 6, dimensioned so large, can be suitable for production in the die-casting process. This was so that the drill hits the chambers with sufficient cross-section in the previously known housings with inclined channels. A dros- not the case. As is well known, the structure of the pressure line in the gasoline passage does not occur. The cast always to a certain extent with pore chambers 6 for their part can already be interspersed with the production and voids, especially in its interior, development of the housing by casting or hot pressing produce a cost of die-casting and then drill the inclined channels in known mechanical processing for their production and manner, so the drill would thus be free of any costs for this. The cover 11 on these pores and cavities with the result that underneath its fastening requires additional 35 controllable transfer points from a channel at a cost, but these are simple and other could arise, whereby the separation cheap parts. between main and reserve petrol would be an illusion. The fastening screws 13 can also have their seat. Pores can also be cut, which after expediently lead into the same bores, so that such a cock would wet outwards like the one arranged on the front of the cock. For this reason, until now it has hardly been possible to use fastening screws for the bracket of the flat wagon, such die-cast housings in spite of the plugs. (This extension of the invention is to be used in the otherwise existing advantages. A Ben drawing is not shown.) Zinhahngehäuse according to the invention can be made from die-cast in the embodiment according to Fig. 3 with 4, because here Chambers 6 from the front into the tap housing are no longer drilled to shape the channels according to the invention, the cover 11 is accordingly on the front need, but with the help of cores on the side of the tap housing. The transfer openings 8 are inserted into the casting mold, already moved into the cover 11 during the Forsind. The cover 11, together with the housing in the die-casting machine, has its seal 12 expediently inserted into the tap, which is embedded in a housing for large-scale production so that its surface represents a very significant advantage, almost flush with the surface (sealing surface).
