Abstract
The invention relates to the removal of phenols and phenolic compounds from contaminated wastewater. The contaminated liquid is caused by substances or mixtures of substances or layered fabrics at one pass speed of less than 2 s / 1 passed. Such substances can be: Sawdust of pine, spruce and birch including the bark; expanded clay; Peat grown; Broken bricks; Rost ash of brown coal briquettes.
Description
a) Titel der Erfindunga) Title of the invention
Verfahren zur Phenolbeseitigung aus damit verunreinigtem WasserProcess for removing phenol from contaminated water
b) Anwendungsgebiet der Erfindungb) Field of application of the invention
The invention relates to the removal of phenols and phenolic compounds from contaminated wastewater.
Dazu ist ein hoher energetischer Aufwand erforderlich.c) Characteristic of the Known Technical Solutions It is known that the residual waters left behind in the separation of emulsions and oil-water mixtures still contain a small amount of phenols and phenol-containing compounds. Even at high dilution in water, these substances are still odor-intensive and taste-impairing. Their penetration into industrial and drinking water therefore has an impact on the quality of the water. For this reason, such liquids are subjected predominantly in known systems of different types of Pyrolyx. This requires a high energy expenditure.
d) Ziel der Erfindungd) Object of the invention
The aim of the invention is to eliminate the odor and taste-impairing substances without energy expenditure from the liquid.

e) Darlegung des Wesens der Erfindunge) Presentation of the essence of the invention
The object is achieved in that the contaminated liquid is purified without the use of mechanical equipment or chemically acting additives of the phenols and the phenolic compounds. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the contaminated liquid is passed through substances or mixtures of substances or layered substances with a flow rate of less than 20 see per liter. The substances used are industrial waste products or natural deposits which have a high adsorption capacity for these odor and taste-impairing substances. Such materials may be: sawdust of pine, spruce and birch, including bark; expanded clay; Peat grown; Broken bricks; .Roof ash of brown coal briquettes. Another possibility is that mixtures of substances or layers of layered substances are used. The following compositions may be used: sawdust and sea-gravel sand; Sawdust and rust ash; Sawdust and broken brick; Expanded clay and rust ash; Expanded clay and sea-gravel sand; Rust ash and sea gravel sand; expanded clay; Sawdust and rust ash.
The invention will be explained below using an exemplary embodiment.
In diese Filteranlage beziehungsweise den Ne utralisationsbehälter werden die Adsorptionsstoffe einzelnThe water contaminated with phenols and / or phenolic compounds is collected in appropriate containers, for example in basins. These containers are connected to a known filter unit or a neutralization tank. In this filter system or the ne utralisationsbehälter the adsorbents are individually

The mixtures can be arbitrary, as well as the thickness of the layers. It should be noted that the adsorbents are introduced in such a thickness, so as a condition, the flow rate of 20 see per liter or 5.5 hours per cubic meter is maintained. If this' problems arise, then there is an additional regulation by cross-sectional narrowing slide in the inflow.
