Abstract

Producir plantas masculinas esteriles aumentando la concentracion endogena de adivina en los tejidos vegetales. Este efecto se puede lograr por medio de la produccion de plantas transgenicas que contienen un vector de expresion en el cual hay un promotor ligado operativamente a una secuencia de ADN que codifica avidina. Se describen metodos para restablecer la fertilidad masculina. Ademas, se proveen metodos para producir semillas con una o mas caracteristicas de granos de interes.
