Vibration phenomena are widely present in the engineering field, such as vibration of bridges and buildings under wind or seismic excitation, vibration of machine tools and cutters during processing, and the like. In many cases, vibrations are considered as negative factors, such as vibrations affecting the function of precision instruments and equipment, exacerbating fatigue and wear of components, shortening the useful life of machines and structures. Therefore, the research and application of vibration damping technology is of great significance. Vibration damping techniques improve the safety performance of structures, mainly by reducing or eliminating structural vibrations. Conventional vibration control techniques include both passive and active control. The passive control mainly adopts vibration damping devices such as mass and elastic control materials, such as vibration isolation supports, dampers and the like, and the active control actively adjusts structures such as active vibration absorbers, active dampers and the like through a controller.
The nonlinear energy trap (NES) has the characteristics of simple structure, small additional mass and high vibration absorption efficiency, and therefore has wide vibration reduction application prospect. The principle of action is that in the vibration process, certain energy is transmitted from the main structure to the non-linear auxiliary structure containing NES and then is dissipated under the damping effect, so that the energy consumption vibration reduction of the main structure is achieved. Impact, collision, is a nonlinear phenomenon commonly found in tight vibration structures, and in the field of kinetic research researchers have tried to develop new damping strategies by these impact vibrations, while the addition of collision factors to NES has been shown to be effective in suppressing vibrations of various types of systems.
However, the impact damper has excellent effects, and the damping effect is related to the impact clearance value, and the clearance value for achieving the optimal damping effect is not the same for systems with different masses, rigidities and different vibration characteristics, so that the damping effect may not be exerted under various structures, and the applicability is not strong.
In this regard, the application provides an adjustable gap collision damper, which can adjust the gap between the vibrator 200 and the limiting piece 300 by adjusting the insertion depth of the limiting piece 300 in the channel, thereby changing the damping effect and adapting to different damping application scenes.
Referring to fig. 1, the adjustable gap crash damper in the embodiment of the present application includes a housing 100, a vibrator 200, a stopper 300, and an elastic pad 400. The casing 100 is a main body structure of the adjustable gap collision damper, and is tubular and has two ends open, and the vibrator 200 is movably arranged in the casing 100. The stopper 300 is mounted at an end of the case 100 for restricting the vibrator 200 to the inside of the case 100 on the one hand, and for adjusting the mounting position of the stopper 300 in the case 100 on the other hand, thereby changing the gap between the vibrator 200 and the stopper 300. The elastic pad 400 is mounted at an end of the stopper 300 to buffer an impact force generated when the vibrator 200 collides with the stopper 300. The elastic pad 400 attenuates the kinetic energy of the vibrator 200 by converting a part of the impact kinetic energy into elastic potential energy.
Specifically, the casing 100 is tubular, a channel is formed in the casing 100, and two ends of the channel are both openings. The vibrator 200 is disposed within the channel, is accessed from one end of the channel, and is movable along the channel. The number of the limiting pieces 300 is two, and the limiting pieces are respectively inserted into two ends of the channel in a one-to-one correspondence manner. It should be noted that the insertion depth of the stoppers 300 can be adjusted, and the vibrator 200 moves between the two stoppers 300. The elastic pad 400 is mounted at an end of the stopper 300, and the vibrator 200 can be in direct contact with the elastic pad 400. The elastic pad 400 is an elastic member for absorbing impact kinetic energy of the vibrator.
The working principle of the adjustable gap collision damper is that after the vibrator 200 is placed in a channel of the shell 100, two limiting pieces 300 are respectively inserted into two ends of the channel of the shell 100, and the vibrator 200 is limited between the two limiting pieces 300. Referring to fig. 2, after the adjustable gap impact damper is mounted to the main vibration structure 600 to be damped, when the main vibration structure 600 vibrates, the elastic potential energy of the active vibration is Km, the damping coefficient is Cm, the main vibration structure 600 drives the vibrator 200 in the channel to move back and forth, and at this time, part of the kinetic energy of the main vibration structure 600 is converted into the kinetic energy of the vibrator 200.
Referring to fig. 3, after a certain external excitation force is applied to the main vibration structure 600, the system vibration displacement response time before and after the installation of the present adjustable gap crash damper is analyzed. The displacement response shows that the maximum vibration displacement of the main structure without the vibration absorber is 1.87mm, the maximum vibration displacement of the main structure with the vibration absorber is 1.27mm, the maximum structural displacement without the vibration absorber is obviously larger than the maximum structural displacement after the vibration absorber is arranged, the collision vibration absorber shows that the vibration amplitude of the system under the vibration for a long period of time is reduced, the vibration reduction is effective, the clearance value is 2mm, and the vibration reduction rate of the vibration absorber is 32.08%. Referring to fig. 4, the gap between vibrator 200 and stopper 300 was changed, and it was found that the maximum structural displacement under vibration for a long period of time was reduced to 1.08mm in the case of a gap of 1mm, and the vibration damping rate was 42.10% at this time, which was higher than that in the case of a gap of 2mm, indicating that the gap adjustment was helpful to fully exert the optimal vibration damping performance of the crash damper.
After the vibrator 200 hits the limiting member 300 at the end of the channel, part of the kinetic energy of the vibrator 200 is absorbed by the elastic pad 400 due to the buffering of the elastic pad 400. The elastic pad 400 may be regarded as an element having an elastic potential energy Kn and a damping coefficient Cn at this time. As the vibrator 200 moves back and forth and repeatedly hits the stoppers 300 at both ends of the passage, the kinetic energy of the vibrator 200 is gradually weakened, thereby achieving suppression of vibration of the main vibration structure 600.
In order to better adapt to the vibration modes of different main vibration structures 600, the depth of insertion of the stopper 300 into the channel is adjustable, so that the gap d between the stopper 300 and the vibrator 200 can be adjusted. When the depth of insertion of the stopper 300 is large, the gap d between the stopper 300 and the vibrator 200 is small, so that the back and forth impact frequency of the vibrator 200 is high, and when the depth of insertion of the stopper 300 is small, the gap d between the stopper 300 and the vibrator 200 is large, so that the back and forth impact frequency of the vibrator 200 is low. By adjusting the insertion depth of the stopper 300, the striking frequency of the vibrator 200 can be changed to match the vibration frequency of the main vibration structure 600.
Specifically, the vibrator 200 may take the shape of a cylinder, a sphere, or an elliptical sphere, or the like. In this embodiment, the vibrator 200 is spherical, and the vibrator 200 can roll in the channel, so that the vibrator 200 can move in the channel more smoothly, and the time for the vibrator to strike back and forth is shortened, so that the kinetic energy of the vibrator 200 is absorbed by the elastic pad 400 more quickly.
Specifically, the limiting member 300 has a cylindrical shape, and the cross section of the channel has a circular shape adapted to the cross section of the limiting member 300, so that the contour of the inner wall of the channel is more adapted to the spherical vibrator 200. The channel and stop 300 design is more compact, reducing production costs.
For the connection mode of the limiting member 300 and the housing 100, in some embodiments, the limiting member 300 is connected to the housing 100 in a plug-in manner, and the limiting member 300 can be quickly inserted into the channel or pulled out from the channel, so that the assembly and disassembly processes are convenient. The stopper 300 can be extended along the channel, so that the gap between the stopper 300 and the vibrator 200 can be adjusted more freely.
In this embodiment, the side wall of the limiting member 300 is provided with threads, and the adjustable gap crash damper further includes a nut 500, and the nut 500 is fixed to the end of the channel. The stopper 300 is screw-coupled with the nut 500, and the distance of the stopper 300 extending into the passage can be adjusted by screwing the stopper 300. The spacing piece 300 is connected with the nut 500 in a threaded connection mode, so that the insertion distance of the spacing piece 300 can be controlled more accurately, the threaded connection has a self-locking function, the situation that the spacing piece 300 is displaced due to the impact of the vibrator 200 can be reduced, and the consistency of the gap between the vibrator 200 and the spacing piece 300 is maintained.
Further, the elastic pad 400 is adhered to the end of the limiting piece 300, so that the connection firmness of the elastic pad 400 and the limiting piece 300 is improved in an adhering manner, and the elastic pad 400 is prevented from loosening from the end of the limiting piece 300 under frequent impact.
Further, a transparent observation window 110 is formed on the side surface of the housing 100, and a worker can observe the movement of the vibrator 200 in the channel through the observation window 110, so as to know whether the vibrator 200 is still in a normal working state.
Further, a scale is further provided on the observation window 110 to facilitate the staff to confirm the gap between the vibrator 200 and the stopper 300. When adjusting the gap between the vibrator 200 and the stopper 300, a worker can adjust the insertion depth of the stopper 300 while observing through the observation window 110 until the gap between the vibrator 200 and the stopper 300 is adjusted to an acceptable distance.
Further, in order to facilitate the installation of the present adjustable gap impact damper to the main vibration structure 600, the housing 100 is further provided with an installation base 120, and the housing 100 is installed to the main vibration structure 600 through the installation base 120. The mount 120 expands outwardly as compared to the case 100 for increasing the contact area with the main vibration structure 600 to improve the mounting stability.
The mounting base 120 may be connected to the main vibration structure 600 by means of bonding or bolting, and in this embodiment, the mounting base 120 is provided with mounting holes 121, and the mounting holes 121 enable bolts to pass through, and the housing 100 is mounted to the main vibration structure 600 by means of bolting.
The embodiments of the present application have been described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, but the present application is not limited to the above embodiments, and various changes can be made within the knowledge of one of ordinary skill in the art without departing from the spirit of the present application. Furthermore, embodiments of the application and features of the embodiments may be combined with each other without conflict.
