Detailed Description
With the popularization of electronic products, the requirements of people on battery parameters are higher and higher, and on the premise of keeping the space occupied by the battery unchanged, the improvement of the space utilization rate to increase the capacity of the battery is an important research direction of battery design.
Referring to fig. 5, in the related art, a battery may include a battery cell assembly 1 and a circuit board 21, the battery cell assembly 1 having a rectangular case 11, and the inside of the case 11 may be used to accommodate positive and negative electrode sheets and the like. The circuit board 21 is vertically placed at one side of the housing 11 and is connected to the housing 11.
The bottom of the vertically placed circuit board 21 has an empty space (i.e. the area where the dotted line frame is located in fig. 5), and this empty space causes waste of a partial area of the battery under the condition that the whole volume of the battery is fixed, which is not beneficial to improving the capacity of the battery.
For the purpose of making the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present disclosure more apparent, the embodiments of the present application will be described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to fig. 1, the disclosed embodiments provide a battery that may include a cell assembly 1, a circuit protection assembly 2, and an electrical connector 3.
The electric core assembly 1 is used for storing electric energy, the electric core assembly 1 comprises a shell 11 and an electric core 12, a battery core accommodating space 111 capable of accommodating the electric core 12 is formed in the shell 11 in a hollow mode, the electric core 12 is arranged in the battery core accommodating space 111, and a concave area 11a concave towards the inside of the shell 11 is formed in the outer surface of the shell 11.
The shell 11 can avoid the external foreign matters from entering the battery, so that the adverse phenomena of collision, friction, corrosion and the like to the internal elements of the battery are caused, and the shell 11 can also form a sealed space for containing electrolyte required by the normal operation of the battery.
The shape of the concave region 11a is not particularly limited in the present disclosure, and may be matched according to the shape of the housing 11, for example, the concave region 11a may be a rectangular parallelepiped region, a spherical region, a prismatic region, or the like.
The circuit protection component 2 is configured to provide circuit protection for the battery cell 12, and the circuit protection component 2 is at least partially disposed in the recess 11a and connected to the housing 11. The electrical connector 3 is electrically connected to the battery cell 12 and the circuit protection assembly 2, respectively.
In some embodiments, the shape and size of the circuit protection component 2 and the recessed region 11a are matched so that the circuit protection component 2 can be disposed entirely within the recessed region 11 a.
On the one hand, under the condition that the space of the concave region 11a is smaller than the volume of the circuit protection component 2, part of the circuit protection component 2 is suspended outside the concave region 11a, which is not beneficial to the stability of the circuit protection component 2, and on the other hand, under the condition that the space of the concave region 11a is far larger than the volume of the circuit protection component 2, the circuit protection component 2 is completely placed in the concave region 11a, and when the concave region 11a also has an idle space, the size of the battery cell accommodating space 111 is extruded, so that the accommodating space of the battery cell 12 is limited, which is not beneficial to the improvement of the capacity of the battery.
Referring to fig. 1, in some embodiments, recessed region 11a is disposed near the junction of electrical connector 3 and cell 12. If the distance between the junction between the recess 11a and the electrical connector 3 and the electrical core 12 is far, this means that the distance between the junction between the electrical connector 3 and the electrical connector 2 placed in the recess 11a and the junction between the electrical connector 3 and the electrical core 12 is far, and at the same time, the electrical connector 3 is electrically connected to the electrical core 12 and the electrical connector 2 respectively, which results in a longer connection length of the electrical connector 3, an increased volume of the electrical connector 3, and an increased manufacturing cost and space occupation of the electrical connector 3.
Therefore, the concave region 11a is arranged near the connection position of the electric connector 3 and the battery cell 12, which is beneficial to reducing the volume of the electric connector 3, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost and occupying space of the electric connector 3.
Referring to fig. 2, in some embodiments, the housing 11 is rectangular in shape, the housing 11 has a first side wall 11b and a second side wall 11c opposite to each other, the first side wall 11b is provided with a recessed region 11a, the recessed region 11a and a non-recessed region 11d of the first side wall 11b form a step structure 112, the step structure 112 includes a first step 1121 and a second step 1122, and a distance between the first step 1121 and the second side wall 11c is smaller than a distance between the second step 1122 and the second side wall 11 c. The concave region 11a corresponds to the first step 1121, and the non-concave region 11d corresponds to the second step 1122.
Referring to fig. 2, in some embodiments, the cell receiving space 111 may include a first receiving space 111a between the first stepped portion 1121 and the second sidewall 11c and a second receiving space 111b between the second stepped portion 1122 and the second sidewall 11 c.
The battery cells 12 may include a first battery cell 121 and a second battery cell 122, where the first battery cell 121 is located in the first accommodating space 111a and is sized to fit the first accommodating space 111a, and the second battery cell 122 is located in the second accommodating space 111b and is sized to fit the second accommodating space 111 b.
Since the distance between the first step 1121 and the second side wall 11c is smaller than the distance between the second step 1122 and the second side wall 11c, the length of the second cell 122 is longer than the length of the first cell 121 in the direction of the line connecting the first side wall 11b and the second side wall 11c (refer to the X-axis shown in fig. 1).
Meanwhile, the circuit protection device 2 is located in the recess 11a (i.e. the side of the first step 1121 away from the second sidewall 11 b) and is connected to the housing 11. Thus, the circuit protection device 2 is located in a space where the recessed region 11a is avoided with respect to the non-recessed region 11 d.

The through-hole 1122a has a sealing member to prevent the electrolyte inside the case 11 from leaking out of the case 11 from the through-hole 1122a, thereby causing waste of the electrolyte or contamination of the surrounding environment of the battery.
In some embodiments, the circuit protection assembly 2 is bonded to the housing 11. For example, an adhesive layer (such as glue) exists between the circuit protection component 2 and the housing 11, or the circuit protection component 2 and the housing 11 are connected by injection molding or other process methods.
The specific position where the circuit protection module 2 is bonded to the housing 11 is not limited in the present disclosure, and at least one of the circuit board 21 and the housing 11 and the protection element 22 and the housing 11 may be bonded.
